Both of our boys, ages 3 and 5, are enrolled at Shotokan Karate and go twice per week. The leadership at this school is amazing and their love of teaching this practice to kids is evident in all that they do. They work hard at making every kid feel special and it’s apparent that they do their best to accommodate and challenge the kids as appropriate to their age and developmental stage.The owner, Shihan Sandy Larwood is such a joy to watch and the kids just adore and respect her (us parents do too…). It’s so nice to see this kind of business in today’s world that isn’t a place where your kids involvement feels like just a ## or $$$. I’m truly grateful that our kids get to go here and excited to witness all the memories they will undoubtedly create at Shotokan Karate & Fitness.

This place is a great place to have you kids learn the art of karate. We have both of our children in the summer program and for what they offer, it is well worth every penny. I highly recommend this place!

I studied under Sensei Sandy until I moved to Florida. My son still studies here and loves it. They have an activity intensive after school program that allows the youngsters to use up all of their energy.

I have been attending Karate at this dojo for about a year with my daughter, and we have learned so much from Sensei Sandy. The classes are fun and a great workout too! Classes are available for all age groups, and are an hour long, two times a week, plus sparing on Fridays. Prices are competitive and I appreciate that there is no contract.

Shotokan Karate is a great place to have your little ones in for karate and also for summer programs. Sensei Sandy is an awesome leader and teacher. the classes and day to day summer program are fun and different each day. The karate classes are a great work out too! Our son is motivated to go everyday and loves the karate and sparring each week. He has grown out of his shell and has become more independent as much as a 2nd grader can be. Sensei Sandy and her dojo of other senseis are very strong and encouraging kids to grow and being aware in real world situataions which most kids need now days in my opinion, but they also learn discipline and great moral values as well. bring your kids and you will be happy you did.
