Growing up with years of competitive martial arts experience, i recently checked this school out and was impressed with the level of discipline and students with passion for the sport and their school. I had the pleasure to spar with some of the kids as well, and see why they have multiple state champions in their school. I would highly recommend it for those that want to compete, but caution those that just want to try out as it is definitely more strict than one of those self defense type places. With my previous experience, i would rate it two thumbs up 👍👍 but everyone has their own opinion.

We love this place! My daughter attended this after school karate program in 2016-2017 and loved everything about it. We moved temporarily to Shavano Park and experienced another karate place. It wasnt the same and my daughter has not learned no where near as much as she did at this academy. My daughter is now patiently waiting for this school year to be over so she can go back to American Black Belt Academy. I know this while my daughter is under their care: shes very safe, happy and learning the real deal. Couldnt ask for me.

I love this school. Being in the military we have moved a lot and he has been in four different karate schools but this has been the best. In a year he has learned way more than he did in 2 years in each of the different schools. He attended his first tournament in April and got 1st place for form and 2nd for sparring which says a lot. I highly recommend not only the school but the after school program if its needed. He is in the after school program and I love that they help them with homework. Kids are highly motivated to do their homework because of their desire to participate in other activities to include the karate lesson.

I have experienced better karate schools and the teacher does get involved in your life and is rude(ish) but it is a good school for making friends
