The administrators of this daycare are incompetent and poorly organized. They will gouge you on fees and charges at EVERY opportunity. *Read the fine print is all Ill tell you! ;(

My son was in the infant room for 4 months and we had such a great experience! Ms Uruba was his teacher and she made every day seem really special! She was always posting pictures and doing crafts with him and keeping me well informed of his day (the cameras are nice too). I always knew he was in good hands and having a fun day at Carlton academy.

The worst place to work they promise certain positions and dont really have a position available and stick you where ever they have to park 2 blocks away and when asked about what if its raing buy an umbrella

Carlton Academy is amazing! It is the cleanest and safest environment that I have ever seen when it comes to daycare. The staff and management are WONDERFUL! Highly recommend this preschool to all! My kids are very happy with their teachers! They communicate her successes and encourage us to work with her at home. They come home and talk about their teachers all day. Keep up the good work.

We have really enjoyed our experience with Carlton. There are video cameras that you can access remotely for the infant room when you miss your little. I love that they spend time on actually teaching the babies things like sign language, Spanish, letters, numbers, and reading. I love that they take the babies to play in the indoor gym and the outdoor playground, even a splash pad! I am excited to see what else Carlton has in store for us in the higher age groups.

We have had our twins enrolled at Carlton Academy for 3 years now and we have been very pleased. The location is convenient for us. The building is secure and clean. The teachers really enjoy the kids and have been very involved in their development, especially potty training! There is a great outdoor play area and splash pad for them to plain, and there are several extracurricular activities like soccer, and dance. We wouldnt take our kids anywhere else in Tampa.

My 6 month old was here and I can tell you he was well loved! Those ladies spoiled him and cared for him like he was their own child. The facility is clean and secure. We loved our time at Carlton!

We had the absolute best experience with our daughter in the infant room. She started at 7 weeks. The care Ms Miguelina and Ms Uruba gave was out of this world. They truly love and care for the kids. The crafts they send home weekly, we will cherish forever. Adore the photos they upload throughout the days. Having the camera for monitoring and the app updates are amazing.

Both our sons attend Carlton Academy. The facility is very clean and extremely secure. I fully entrust the staff with the well being of our children. While both our boys have their own assigned classroom teachers, every teacher knows them by name! The school embraces holidays, seasonal activities, sports and is often well-decorated to reflect them. The facility is warm and inviting. I give Carlton my highest recommendation.

My kids love this school. I have a 4 and 2 yr old daughters who started on May of this year and I could say that they love love love their school. My 4 yr old daughter sometimes ask me if she can go to school on the weekends. That right there goes to show that she is loving her experience in Carlton Academy. Ever since they started, they havent gotten sick. Compared to the last school they were in, my kids were sick every month but not here. The classrooms are very clean. I see a lot of improvement from my kids. My daughter would always talk about her day on our way home. They love their teachers, they love the playground, they love the gym and they love their class. Sammy at the front office is a really great help. From day one she helped us with all the questions I have. All in all, this is a great school and I couldnt be more happier.

Carlton is a wonderful academy for all ages. My son started at 4 months (hes now 7 months) and even for infants, the ciriculum is amazing! They spend each day working on a letter, number, color, shape and Spanish word. Also your child comes home with weekly projects that are centered around the theme of the week. The projects will melt your heart!!! I love that they have a heavy emphasis on learning and start working with your child early. I also love that the children are broken up by six month age intervals. You never have to worry about your baby under six months being trampled by a toddler or 11 month old since developmentally they are leaps and bounds ahead. Carlton also has a camera system that allows you to check in on your little one throughout the day which adds for greater piece of mind. Carlton is a wonderful school! S/O to Ms. Maria and Mrs. Maria in the infant room. You two ladies are truly amazing!!! They took care of my munchkin as if he were one of their own.

Based on the very low quality of service, false information I received from the director. How unprofessional Heather was, the lies she presented to cover up for their unorganized scheduling. I am very glad that the spot they said is available turned out to be just a mistake! I will never consider this place!! Heather definitely needs to be trained on how to professionally present her self and the organization. If you made a mistake, its fine. Please don’t lie and try to make people look stupid or low class as this only reflects your personal and business manners! One more thing..I believe their lie/decision was based on racist measures as they completely changed after they noticed that we are not originally Americans! To respond to your reply, Sir, your employee told me personally that I can do that, otherwise I would have gone through the necessary steps to complete the registration process! Your employee should have taken more time to understand/explain the process especially that we mentioned to her that we are new to this! Most importantly, you and your employees changed your words about the availability of the space (YOU CALLED US TO TELL US THAT YOU HAVE AN AVAILABLE SPOT FOR MY SON) and I have personally spoke to your employee and she confirmed the availability, when this changed, you could have easily told us that instead of rudely telling us that there is no availability and that we don’t know what we are talking about (THATS A LIE, YOUR DIRECTOR GAVE US A CALL AND YOUR EMPLOYEES CONFIRMED!!!!) HAD YOU/YOUR EMPLOYEES HAD THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE PROPERLY, YOU WOULD HAVE NEVER HAD TO LIE AND DISRESPECT PEOPLE! That is a shame to the whole industry!

We have had our daughter at Carlton for nearly two years. They do a great job of watching after her and the other children. The school makes a real effort to teach the children sign language, the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, animals and all kinds of interesting stuff. Its clear that management is very selective in their hiring of teachers and does a good job of placing teachers that work well together. Our daughter loves going to school each day and always feels close to her teacher. Everyone at the school knows my daughter and makes an effort to be friendly as we come and go each day.

Carlton Academy has been a great option for our family. Trying to balance work an being a new mother has been much easier with the baby right next door to my office and the administration and staff have been very compassionate, knowledgeable and helpful. Because of the proximity to my office, I was able to visit for a quick feeding at lunch whenever my workload allowed it and after a year of seeing the teachers interact with my daughter regularly, I can confidently say that they are wonderful...to the point that my daughter now tries to drag her old teachers with her into the new classroom when she arrives in the mornings.

Carlton Academy is fantastic! Our oldest daughter had a wonderful experience with great teachers who she still reminisces about. They have a great curriculum that gave our daughter the skills she needed to start school with confidence. She still recognizes Jackson Pollock paintings! Monica is wonderful and enthusiastic. The facilities are very well kept and clean, and they offer a variety of recreational activities for the kids. We are excited to have our younger daughter beginning in the Fall.

We just enrolled our 8 week old son in the Carlton Academy Day School and couldnt be happier. The staff at Carlton are all very friendly, warm and professional - we have get such a great vibe from them. The school is very secure and structured and provides us with the confidence that our son is getting first class attention. We absolutely love the school and would recommend it to anyone looking for childcare.

My sons have both been at Carlton since they were 12 weeks old. They are happy when I drop them off, happy when I pick them up, and I feel they are well cared for and have the opportunity to do all sorts of fun activities I dont always get the chance to do with them. They learn new songs, and games, and love their teachers. The staff has also always been very accommodating and patient and go out of their way to help or address anything that might come up.

My 4 month old recently started at Carlton Academy and we love it there! All of the teachers and staff have made her transition into daycare very easy. I love that you can watch her day through the video camera, and I can pop in to check on my daughter at any time. We are very happy with Carlton Academy :).

Our son has been attending for about 3 months now and we love it! He loves his teachers and grins when he sees them. They follow his schedule, he naps well and sleeps great at night, and is happy every day when we pick him up. They are also super responsive to my inquiries, and the staff really knows every child. We enrolled our son in Carlton Academy in June and we cannot be happier. The people have been great there, working closely with us to make sure that he is in the right classroom to maximize his learning. They are extremely convenient to pick up and drop off before and after work with a great location downtown. I could not be happier with our choice of Carlton and I would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to place their kids.

As both a parent and Director of the school, I am proud to be a part of Carlton Academy. I have been with the school since before it even opened in January 2008 after leaving a large franchised Preschool. It was a huge risk leaving the comfort of a major corporation, but one I was willing to make. Carlton Academy gave me the opportunity to help create a school where our passion for quality care and education is a priority. My daughter was lucky enough to join Carlton at 4 months (shes now 2) and is ahead of the curve in several developmental and academic areas, as are most of the students in her class. Our students are treated as family, not just another number on the roster, and I am honored to be able to get to know each and every family personally.

This facility could do a lot better. The new management they are under is HORRIBLE and very unprofessional. Do not get me wrong the school has the potential to be great again but they need to do better. I have heard about this school from people who have previously had their children there and they pulled their children out because they observed teachers being not very nice to children and management treating the staff not so well. I just would not recommend going to the school. From what I have heard they have changed management 3 different times in under a year where is the stability for the children? Parents have told me that teachers are always leaving and there is no consistency in some of the classrooms. This school needs to go under some reconstruction when it comes to the well being of the children

My 3 year old son has been going here full time for a month now and it has been great. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly from the start. Sign up was quick and easy with Monica helping us throughout the process. Overall, we are very happy with our choice of Carlton Academy and would recommend it to anyone!

Our son has been attending Carlton for the last 5 months and it has been a wonderful experience . The smile on our sons face when we drop him off and pick him up speaks volumes. We are thankful to the amazing teachers to whom nurture and love him daily. Their cirriculum has helped to accelerate his cognitive and motor skills and every day he learns something new. Both management and staff have constantly kept us informed of any changes and we appreciate all that they do.

My 3 mo. old just started at Carlton Academy. As a new working mom, I had a little anxiety about leaving him. The staff was super friendly and understanding. They really did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. Now that a couple weeks have gone by, my son is so happy and thriving! I knew I made the right decision!

Our son has been going to Carlton since he was 3 months old. Since this was our first born we were extremely anxious to put him into a daycare but have been beyond pleased with our experience at Carlton. Monica and Sammy are absolutely amazing and they do everything they can to make you feel comfortable leaving him every day. The teachers show so much attention and love to our little one that I know he is excited to be there and the best part is we can watch him on the webcam that not only provides a nice sense of security but allows you to check in and see what he’s up to. My daughter has been attending Carlton since she was 3 months old and is now 3. We couldnt be happier with the staff, the facility and the level of care and nurturing she has received since shes be there. Not only has she learned so much in what seems like a short amount of time, I have too and as a new Mommy - the advice and guidance has been invaluable. The best sign is how excited she is to arrive in the mornings and on occasion, she has told me that shes not ready to go yet in the afternoons. She wants me to stay and join in on the fun! To echo another parents thoughts, the people who work there really feel like a part of the family.

Overall we have really enjoyed our experience at Carlton. Our daughter had loved all her teachers. The location is very convenient if you work downtown. The webcams are a nice feature for new parents that are still adjusting to daycare. The staff seems very caring and knowledgeable about each child.

Our son just graduated to the 1year old class!!! Sleeping on a COT!!! wow....Carlton Academy continues to care about the little details and the feelings of our little guy during his transition...they are always willing to surround him with familiar faces and LOTS of affection! My granddaughter begin her adventure with Carlton Academy in January, she loves it here she knows all of her friends well and looks forward to coming in and sharing fruit snacks with them. Carlton is a great JumpStart for children 0-5 the teachers are good at what they do as well as keeping the kids engaged and as a teacher that is a very important and meaningful accomplishment to be be able to fulfill with children. I and my family appreciate the opportunity to have our precious gem enrolled here at Carlton Academy Day school.

I WORKED there for a few months in college . I remember being at the front desk to talk to the owner one day and the phone ringing ... He asked me to answer it and I did . It was a parent interested in registering their child in the center . She asked if we accepted coordinated child care. I asked the owner he told me no and I told the lady . After I hung up he came up to me and said a lot of our clientele are lawyers and doctors and athletes and if we were to accept those kind of people with low income how would that make us look ? I will never forget that statement ... Its a major reason why I left ... They wear the teachers out and make them hate their jobs ... Gave me a class of kids I wasnt qualified to teach and then backed up every little thing the parents would say . Do not put your child in this center ...

My family has been very pleased with the level of care, nurturing and attention that my daughter, Kathryn, receives from all of the staff. The facilities are great and the level of communication between staff and our family is what one would hope for from a facility that takes care of their children. We spent a lot of time looking for the best facility for our child and Charlton Academy Day School is it! There is always anxiety sending you child to a new place but they went above and beyond to make sure that our baby was comfortable as well as make us as parents comfortable. The in room cameras give you piece of mind that your child is always well supervised and they really are at Charlton.

My son started at Carlton at 10 months old and is now 3. I had the opportunity to move to a different school at one point that would have been less expensive, but I just couldnt do it. Carlton has become my family. My daughter started at 4 months old. The teachers show her more love than I ever could have imagined. All of the teachers know my kids by name and are great with them, always doing whats best for them. Carlton has a camera system that I would log in to constantly to check up on them but havent felt that need in quite a while. I 100% trust my family at Carlton Academy and will be so sad when my kids eventually move on!

We trust them, and appreciate all that they do to help make things easier for busy families. Other family members and friends are amazed at how much our daughter knows and has learned at her age already. I really believe this is largely due to days at Carlton and their curriculum.

This place has a great family atmosphere! Carlton Academy institutes a policy that allows parents to come and visit at any time throughout the day. I work downtown, so this location is perfect for me. When I have a little extra time, I love that I can visit my daughter during my own lunch period.I had a few options in mind when searching for day cares. The price for my toddler at Carlton Academy is just a little more per week than all of the other day cares that I visited--Id say any where from $5-20 more--but if you take a tour of the facility, youll instantly realize why that amount is negligible. The school is far better than the other facilities that I visited, and I want whats best for my little one. I would definitely consider this place if you havent found the perfect fit for your kids.

Awful! First, it should be noted they give discounts for those who give positive reviews here. Shame! No amount of discount could make me give a positive review. The infant classes are fine but the older classes - 12 months and beyond were shockingly scary for any childs positive development.This is not a school but a true day care. Their curriculum is minimal, little to zero structure (kids constantly running up and down the halls … how about all the kids hold a rope and walk orderly? …), and teachers are not there to enrich children but just to get a paycheck. I watched a teacher yell at a young child who was crying! Thats not right. Every time I walked in to pick up my child, the teachers would be sitting on the floor talking to each other or filling out paperwork … I rarely saw them interacting with the children unless they were feeding them.I trusted that they would keep my daughter alive, and that is it. I got a pit in my stomach every time I had to drop her off. My advice is to trust your gut. I took her out at as soon as she was able to get into a real school with positive reinforcement and loving teachers and staff. I can tell such a difference in her attitude and behavior. We were only at Carlton a few months.Way too expensive for the level of care they provide. Ive spoken with other parents who took their children out because of similar miserable experiences.

I sent my first son to Carlton in January 2013 and my second son in June 2014 both at the age of 3 months when I had to return to work after maternity leave. We chose Carlton because of the webcam feature and the ability to check on our son(s) from work. But, we quickly fell in love with Kay and Monica on the management team as well as all the teachers we met. The teachers absolutely love the kids and take such good care of them.Over the past year, we have faced a few challenges with turnover in management as well as in teaching staff. Theres a lot of rules and things tend to be very black and white. The culture has changed a lot and it does not have the same family / collaborative feel that we grew to know and love. Also, the software thats used to access the webcams stopped working on our computers over 6 months ago. We tried to work with management to get it fixed, but they just directed us to the app. The app works, but its grainy and not as easy to watch and find your kid as the web interface we used on our computers.Overall, Carltons very fortunate to have FANTASTIC, LOVING teachers in the classroom that truly take an interest in each child. However, they have a few administrative / management challenges that turn parents off.

When my fiance and I toured Carlton Academy Day School, we were very impressed with everything they offered and the friendliness of the staff. Our then 5 1/2 month old had only ever been watched at home by my mom, so this was going to be a huge adjustment for all of us. We love that the school incorporates education even at an early age - including sign language, Spanish, reading, music and play time. We especially liked the ability to check in on her in her classroom during the day via webcam. When I leave my daughter at day care its obvious that she is loved and cared for by the HUGE smile she has on her face when she sees her teachers. They also send you home with a progress report at the end of every day indicating diaper changes, feedings and what theyre learning. I think the only downside is that they do not provide/launder sheets the way other facilities do, but doing the wash at the end of each week is worth the peace of mind I get knowing shes safe & cared for.

My experience, as parent of a Carlton student, was disappointing. The staff is unreasonably undereducated and hold only the minimum training requirements needed for licensure. The rooms represent a hazardous cluster of outdated and dirty materials. The disorganization and incompetence at Carlton is the reason my family got out before the ink was dry on the application we initially signed.In addition, the insanity of the response to this honest assessment of this “school” is further evidence that the management is at best incompetent. They went so far as to fabricate an eviction, invent their own academic achievements and lie at nearly every turn. I would not trust this group with an aging three-legged dog.

My daughter started at Carlton at 3 months old. The love that she has been give is amazing. She is always greeted with smiles and hugs!

My daughter has been going there for 2 months now and every teacher there knows her by name. They have a HUGE indoor play yard for rainy or hot days. There is also a spash park at the daycare for the summer time which my daughter LOVES! She loves arriving there every morning and is progressing in her skill sets already! The office staff is always willing to help whenever I have a question and takes time to get to know all the parents and childern. Very clean building and the class rooms are well stocked with plenty of learning material. I look forward to the art work my daughter creates every week!

Carlton Academy is the school my wife and I choose after touring many other local schools. We love our daughter teacher who always greets her with a smile. Our daughter lights up when she sees her!

My daugher loves this fun and friendly place! Its fantastic--especially the playground area, of which there are three (for different age groups). Im honestly a little jealous I cant play with her there. The staff is wonderful, organized, and super nice. I feel completely comfortable leaving my daughter there--Carlton Academy has great security features like cameras and locked entrances. I also really appreciate the webcam feature so that I can check in on my little one if Im ever feeling down at work :) Its a good feeling to know I have a safe, clean, and affordable place to watch my little lady.

My children have been to multiple day schools in the last three years in different states due to our various moves. Carlton Academy Day School is by far the best school our two children have attended. We couldnt be more impressed.

We did our research on daycare for our newborn and were very happy with Carlton Academy -- friendly staff, convenient location to downtown, and a clean and nurturing environment. Were able to visit as needed and the smart phone app allows us to check in on the room and provides a level of assurance that our daughter is in great hands.

Both my boys have attended Carlton Academy and I cannot say enough amazing things about the school, its owners, and its faculty. My oldest son started back in 2009 when he was only 7 months old and attended Carlton until he started Kindergarten in the Fall of 2013. At every stage, in every classroom, he was cared for so well, and given an amazing education. When he started elementary school, he was one of the most academically prepared students in his kindergarten class. At our first kindergarten parent/teacher conference, his Kindergarten teacher asked me where he attended preschool. When I replied, Carlton Academy, she stated, Well, they did a great job!. He loves the teachers at Carlton so much, that he regularly visits the teachers when we drop off his little brother. One of them, actually gives him small surprises when he shows her his great elementary school reports cards. This is not something required of Carlton teachers, but it shows you that their love and concern for my children does not end when they leave the school.My younger son has had a different school path than my older son. He started Carlton at 6 weeks of age when I had to return to work. It was very hard to leave my little one, but he was so loved and cared for my the infant class teachers, that my Mom Guilt was quickly eased. At about a year old, he was diagnosed with some hearing issues. It was the staff at Carlton that helped us realize that there may be a problem. As a result, he was eventually behind his peers developmentally due to his past hearing issues. Carlton Staff did everything they could to get him to where he needed to be, they gave me countless recommendations of services that could help my little boy. Eventually, it was determined that he would benefit from a special preschool classroom through Hillsborough County Public School System that specializes in children with additional needs. While my younger son is no longer a regular student at Carlton. He does attend Carlton over the Summers and on days when the public schools are closed. He loves, loves, loves, going back to Carlton to see his old friends and teachers. The staff treats him just as any other student.As a mom who has a child with special needs, I would have been lost in how to get my son the help he needed without Carlton Academy. We will be forever indebted to the kind and insightful teachers and directors that helped me get my son the help he needed. If all they cared about was money, they could have continued to collect our tuition, but they were actually honest and cared about my child and knew that he would get better help elsewhere and recommended that.I have 2 very different children, and they both benefitted from Carlton Academy in different ways. However, I know that both my children are better prepared from the future because of this school.

My daughter is 5 1/2 months old and has been attending Carlton since I returned to work about 3 months ago. My husband and I were very anxious about putting our child in daycare, but the teachers and staff at Carlton made the transition seamless. From the minute I toured, the front office staff immediately made me feel comfortable. Her teachers are fantastic about communicating and working on her development. As a Speech-Language Pathologist working with preschool students, I have had the opportunity to be in several preschool environments and was immediately impressed with the cleanliness and organization at Carlton. In addition, I love being able to login to the webcam to check on my daughter throughout the day. All in all, we wouldnt want our daughter to be anywhere else!

Hated is a strong word for a 1 star, but it just wasnt for us. Yes its true, they give the parents a discount for a 5 star review. We had great experiences with our teachers both in the under 6 month room and in the 6-12 month room. They did have blow outs almost daily, which leads me to believe they werent be changing fast enough since it rarely happens at home. And while watching the web cams it seems like they hardly interact with the kids unless they are changing or feeding them. Monica and Sammy are super sweet and willing to help. The management however doesnt care about the kids, only the money aspect of the business and ultimately that is why we left.

Our daughter has attended Carlton since October 2011 when she was 3 months old. Come August, she will be starting VPK. It is extremely convenient for parents who work downtown. We loved her teachers as an infant, through the toddler years, and now moving up to pre-K. She has also made lots of best friends here at Carlton. Developmentally, she has flourished here, particularly in the 4-year-old class with Miss Scott. The directors are great and very responsive to any issue we have had (which are few and far between). We also like that Carlton is not closed for many days during the year, unlike other area schools. We rarely have to arrange for alternate childcare. There were some growing pains a while back when a new day care opened nearby; the school experienced some teacher and student turnover. However, we are very pleased with our decision to keep our daughter here.

My daughter has attended Carlton since she was 9 months old. We have been very pleased with the love and attention she has received. We are amazed at how much she continues to learn daily.

I have had nothing but good experiences at Carlton. Not only is the location extremely convenient (I work downtown), but I love that there is an open door policy so I can stop in and see my son at any point in the day. Since my son started he has transitioned into 3 different classrooms (infant, 6-12 mths, and now 12-18 mths). I have enjoyed the teachers in each one of his classes and the transition was incredibly smooth! Even when staff has changed, the new staff has jumped right in and has been very friendly. I feel very comfortable with my son being here and recommend to others!

I had a very bad experience with this academy as they are unprofessional and lied to us. Also, the cleanliness of the facility (especially the bathroom) was not what I expect to see in such a place!

We tried one other daycare before coming to Carlton and there is no comparison. From the attention to security they give us piece of mind and quality any parent should expect.

My son has been at Carlton Academy for a couple years. Over that time there has been several small issues, but nothing that would prompt me to write a review or condemn the school to a one star rating. Things like very high turnover rate, poorly trained low paid staff or cleanliness. You see most of those issues in most other day schools and Carlton is no different. However a few months back I was home and getting my son ready for a bath. As I took off his shirt I discovered that my sons entire left side was bruised like he was in a street fight. Keep in mind he is 4 years old. When I asked him what happened he tells me that there are kids that are torturing him. I asked him if he told the teachers, he tells me that they ignore him and tell him hes lying. The next day I go into the school and inform the school of the situation. I even showed them pictures of the bruises on his body. At first they seemed really concerned and tell me that they are going to look into right away. The next day they call me in for a meeting and when I sit down Im expecting to hear the outcome and what they are going to do about it. Instead I hear that they interrogated my 4 year old son and say they think he is just being a problem child. They also tell me that they uncovered some questionable things that my son said. They told me he was talking about death. On a side note, I asked my son about the death comment later and he said he was talking about the video game he was playing and they made him die in the game by talking to him. I sat in this meeting in shock wondering what this all had to do with the bruises on my son. The next day after the meeting I was dropping off my son in his classroom, and one of the teachers starts giving me an attitude. I left and just laughed it off. Later that day his grandmother picks him up from school and the same teacher who neglected my son (and gave me an attitude) was now giving an attitude to his 70 year old grandmother. I went to the management and explained to them what was now going on and never heard from them. Needless to say we decided it was best to move to a new school. This opened up a whole new host of issues. Based on the schools policy, you must give one months notice in writing. Which seemed a bit long, but I still wanted to follow their policy. We gave notice in writing and that same day the owners wife calls me. Shes clearly angry on the phone and very confrontational, but indirectly. Then a week and a half later I get an email from the owner Michael. He says theres a problem with my letter format and need to submit a new letter and the clock starts over and we supposedly owe more money. Clearly that was a feeble attempt to extort extra money, but we still complied since my son was there still and I didnt want to create any further issues for him. Finally it was the last week and my son had only three days left. That morning I get another email from Michael saying that I had an outstanding balance of $17 and if it wasnt paid today that my son will be kicked out and they will purse further action. Funny thing about this was that I paid in advance and had a bill showing I was paid in full. So I leave work and drop off the money. I send Michael a reply email letting him know that I paid the $17 asking him to not threaten my son and family with termination so the last three days just would go smooth. Well that prompted Micheal to threaten me with a slander law suit and tell me we were terminated effective now. So needless to say that I would not recommend this school to anyone. Ive read other positive reviews which seem to be written by their management. But if you are looking for a school to abuse you and your child, well Carlton may be the place for you. Also they dont really follow a curriculum. They will tell you they do, but really they just let the kids play all day. My son was in their VPK class and now is behind in his new VPK class.

Carlton Academy has been a decent place of learning for our son. Extracurricular activities like soccer & tennis for the kids keeps them learning while they play. Staff at the school can be hit-or-miss.

Our son (8 months) has been attending Carlton for almost 3 months now and we are very happy. His teachers Ms. Kathy and Ms Vikkie are wonderful. I feel confident in their abilities to care for our son and show him attention and love. On Friday mornings they take our sons class outside to the splash pad on the playground. If you have the time to stay and watch it is very cute watching all the babies sit on the rubber pad and play in the water. We are happy with our choice in daycares. If you work downtown or in Ybor the location is perfect.

Our daughter had a great time and learned a lot through a varied and fun curriculum. The staff and teachers were always very responsive and helpful.

Note: Carlton Academy is giving parents credits on daycare costs ($25) to leave positive Google reviews. Our Son attended this Academy for a little over a year (2014-2015). When he started, they charged monthly and the cameras worked online and on the app. Over the course of this year, they switched to weekly billing and later raised their rates, changed the access to app use only of the cameras and later to no cameras except for infants, The Parent Content of the website never worked. The owners never spoke to us once and every parent we spoke to mentioned they did not like them. Monica is now leaving and most parents have said that they are going to move their kids if she ever left. Unfortunately, the teachers and management were not there for us when we needed them most. After spending 12k+ there over the course of a year and when we needed them most, they expelled our Son for biting when he was clearly going through a phase at 19 months old. His biting got progressively worse when they moved him into the 18 - 24 month old room at 17 months. At that time he was really attached to his teachers and wasn’t ready to be around almost 2 year olds. Kids were stealing food and taking sippy cups for minutes before teachers would notice. Instead of offering solutions, watching him closely & keeping them engaged they chose to kick him out because they said other parents were threatening to withdraw their children after having just one parent conference with us. They didn’t even have the decency to tell us in person as they notified us via email instead. The new school he is in understands that kids go through a biting phase and are helping us correct the issue and move past it.

We LOVE Carlton Academy Day School. We enrolled both of our sons when they turned 4 months old. Our oldest is currently in the VPK program. He is learning so much. He is always excited to share what he has learned for the day. One of the most amazing things to me is that he can read now thanks to his amazing teachers. They are taking the time to teach him what he needs to learn in order to have a successful transition to kindergarten.My youngest son is in the 1 1/2 year old room. He adores his teachers! He knows animals and colors, etc. He surprises us with new words all the time.I love how my children are able to interact with peers too. There are a good group of children at this school. I cant say enough about the children, parents, teachers and staff. You know your children are in a good place when they spend 9 hours at school and arent ready to leave when you come to pick them up (trust me, they love their time at home too).We checked out several schools before we decided on Carlton Academy. The webcam was a huge plus but for us, we loved the structure. As the children grow, they also learn the importance of being respectful to friends and teachers. We love this school!

Weve been at Carlton over a year now with 2 boys in different classes. One son started in the infant class, they move them up every 6 months so they are always advancing and getting exposed to new things. The ratios are low so they get a lot of individual attention. My older son started when he was 2 and hes been involved in so many activities- soccer, tennis and dance class! Not all daycares offer so many activities to keep a toddler so busy. The playground is amazing and shaded ! It also turns into a splash park in the summer for kids of all ages! They even have an amazing indoor gym for when it rains! Lots of toys and cars for the kids and everything is in great condition. The classrooms have computers and I often see them being used all the kids will sit quietly and watch with such intent! The teachers are so amazing and what I like is if I have a complaint the management immediately fixes it. Also they are willing to respond to my emails quickly throughout the day or phone calls if I have concerns. The prices may seem high but honestly you get what you pay for! I dont want to single out any amazing teachers because there are soooo mamy great ones And my kids are happy everyday and love going to school and leave school happy. What more can you ask for?

We enrolled our son and daughter here a month ago and we absolutely love it. Both of our children have learned so much in such a small amount of time. Our son is in the VPK program and his teacher is amazing at what she does. The teachers at this facility are so caring and understanding of each individual Childs needs.

Our son has been at Carlton since the middle of August, and weve had a very good experience. Weve loved our teachers-first Ms. Miguelina and Ms. Maria in the young infant room and since moving up to our new room, Ms. Valentina and Ms. Yesi have been amazing with our son. My daughter, Mia, has been with Carlton Academy since before she could walk. She is now four and in the VPK program. I will start my review with my most recent experience and move to the earlier years. Last February, we moved up to Pennsylvania for 6 months for my husbands work project. I enrolled Mia in a daycare up there. Our experience was so different than Carlton Academy. Before Mia left Carlton at three years old, she was doing things in the classroom that second graders are doing in Pennsylvania. In the six months that we were up there, Mia took 10 steps backwards in her education. I believe in educating students and pushing them to be the best that they can be. At Carlton, each child is encouraged to learn, exceed, and be their best person. I didnt realize how incredible the teachers and staff are at Carlton until I left for that six month period. We are now back in Florida and Mia is in the VPK with Carlton and back on track with her education. Now, for the earlier years. When Mia was younger, I was a little obsessive about her food intake. I would pack her a large amounts of food so that she had a variety to choose from. Despite my strange food requests, the staff and teacher always respected my wishes and reported to me each day on Mias food intake. They offered their professional opinion but never judged me. I appreciate all the Carlton has done for Mia. I believe when she is done with VPK, she will way ahead of the game which is my goal.

My daughter has been going to this school for about a month now . Her teachers are amazing and the curriculum is great . They are learning Spanish, sign language and potty training . This school is clean and organized.I would suggest this school to anybody in the Tampa area, especially downtown.

The Staff is outgoing and extremely accommodating and helpful. Every morning you are greeted with a smile and a genuine concern for your childs well being, and as a sometimes tired exasperated parent of two, seeing smiling faces and pleasant attitudes is a welcome way to start the day.ONE MORE THING! 06.19.2015 - Being a father, Carlton academy does a great job in welcoming both parents but they are very helpful for fathers, who sometimes need more assistance than their female counterparts. I appreciate that. They just rolled out a great food spread for all the fathers too for fathers day but the teachers also reminded me of the Holiday when I dropped my children off. Thanks Carlton Academy for all you do for our family.Ok one more thing, today carlton made us feel like family. My daughters first day of kindergarten was today and carlton was to pick her up for the afterschool program. Not only did they pick her up without incident, they called us told us she was safe and relayed gleeful first day accounts of my daughters first day bliss! Thanks carlton for treating our family so well and reasuring two nervous parents!
