My review is based on being a prospect, rather than a student. Back in February, I was considering taking the Billing & Coding class. I sent them an email to get some information, but no one ever got back to me, so I called a couple of days later. The gentleman I spoke to was very nice and scheduled a time for me to come in the following week. I had a really hard to finding the building and was late to my appointment, but they were super nice about it and allowed me to still come in and meet with an adviser, after 5pm. The adviser gave me a packet that talked about the school, but he didnt seem to know a whole lot about the program I was interested in, however he was able to tell me how the process goes. He showed me a couple of the classrooms and asked if Id like to sit in one, to get an idea on what the class was like. I told him Id love that and he said hed call me once he spoke with the instructor. Needless to say, I never heard from him. Yes, I could have called, but if he was really interested in having me as a student, there would have been more of an effort. I even told him the tuition payment would be covered by an organization Im affiliated with, so making payments wouldnt be an issue. Since I never heard back, I signed up for another program with another institution, instead.

I had a great experience with California Medical College. Everyone was very professional and ready to help. Aside from the training they helped with building my resume and job placement. However, because I moved soon after I didnt utilize the job placement service. Its been 4 months since I graduated and I occasionally contact the teacher to ask her questions about medical coding and she always responds!

I attended the PMT program. I was nervous to go back to school after a career change I made and being that I hadn’t been in school for a very long time. Ms. Page was my instructor. I remember sitting in the office getting ready to get my supplies needed for class and in walks Ms. Page. Little did I know this woman walking in and greeting me with a huge smile would be the one who changed my life and had such an instrumental roll in my future. Ms. Page truly cares about her students, she takes the time to help you understand if your lost she reassures you every step of the way “you can do it” I have so much gratitude and respect for this woman. If any of you out there have the privilege to be taught by this woman you won’t regret it. She changed my life and I will always have much love for her!

I took and completed the Medical Assistant ans the EKG program including the NHA National Certification Exams for each. I cannot find the words to express the impact on my life Ms. Page and Dr.Carlo has had on my future in the medical field as well as Marria, Jennifer and Stephanie (other superstar staff members). Ms. Page was able to ease my nerves from the 1st day since its been almost 20yrs since Ive been in any formal school platform. She started by talking and treating me as a person and not just another student. She is always willing to go the extra mile to put the materials in ways which suits everyone on a person by person base, not just what the book says. She as well as ALL the instructors has made me feel like a part of the family. Its rare to find staff with as much dedication, compassion and love for the students as Ive seen here.

Being hesitant about going back to school after so many years, I started my search to find a school that would work with my everyday life. I went into Cmc not sure of what medical direction I wanted just knowing I wanted to do something in the field. After talks with the admissions team, I was introduced to Ms. Deborah Page. This incredible woman not only reassured me that I was going to do great, she helped me EVERY STEP of the way. She is way more than an instructor. When my personal life interfered with my schooling, she went out of her way and spent her time making sure I was up to date on all my studies. She is passionate about her craft and truly cares about each individuals advancement. I finished my externship and was working in a field similar to one of my favorite courses two days later. Awesome experience and an amazing teacher.PS she always brings in food for the whole class!!!

I enrolled into this college and was extremely hyped and excited about my program. Had a great instructor who left after the first week, a new instructor wasn’t placed into the class until the 3rd week. The (retired) new instructor unfortunately was not competent enough to be teaching this course, she was not giving us any information aside from what i could read out of my text book and i wasn’t learning anything. I spoke with the director hoping for a better solution but was told to go back to the instructor and explain to her what it is we need to be learning. NOT HAPPENING. I withdrew from the school, no money would be refunded back to me. I actually STILL have to make payments for the days i attended class. It was completely unfair that they just threw anybody in there to teach this accelerated course and everyone but one person in the class is unhappy about with it.

Attended CNA weekend and EKG Class. Both the Nursing and EKG Instructors were great. The EKG program material was harder, but I was able to pass the class as well as pass my national certification the first time. This is a small school whose administration and staff really helps and cares about students and their success. I am now working at a facility and am grateful for all the help I received.

An absolute monstrosity of an institution. We barely learned anything and spent most of the class talking about things that had nothing to do with the program. The administration constantly lied to us about what was going on which resulted in most of the students to withdraw from the program entirely. Do yourself a favor and never step foot in this place unless you want to waste your time, throw away money, and be lied to by people that treat you with disrespect. If you’re going to call yourself a college at least staff your school with people who are equipped to teach others.

I attended CNA classes during weekend. The staff are professional, supportive, and accomodating. The school staff and DON aim at quality graduates so they spend time for students in need of assistance. The confidence i gained after graduating was worth every penny i spent on tuition. I recommend this for those serious about their career in health care.

I have just graduated from California Medical College and passed my CCMA exam: my experience with CMC was exactly what I hoped it would be. In a very short time I gained, through classroom and lab study, the knowledge and skills I needed to confidently perform PMT duties during my externship that resulted in a recommendation to hire. The small class size worked very well for me as we could explore questions, and attitudes, and learn about the real life of working in the medical field beyond what the text says. A special thank you to my instructor, Ms. Page, for the way she shared, not just her skills, but her caring demeanor: she helped me to transform into the empathetic person I need to be to excel in this field.

Im currently taking the Medical Assistant program at CMC. I enrolled here to find a path in my life, and, boy... I have found my professional path and I have grown as a person as well. Miss Pages class has turned out to be a great learning experience! Since day one, she starts preparing you for the most important stuff, so when the time comes for you to prove how much you have learned, it wont be a bitter situation... on the contrary... I have personally experienced the amazing results of Miss Pages teaching. Ive been surprised over and over on how much I have actually learned. Not only does she give you great techniques to go through your study material, she cares about you being able to fully understand what you are learning. Being here has improved dramatically my well-being. Ive learned to persevere, and to thrive through obstacles. And I thank my instructor for that. My grades are excellent, and I feel ready to go on the medical field and start my journey! THANK YOU

Dont waste your time or money on this place, alot of the programs they offer grossmont adult school and san diego city continuing education offer for free or greatly cheaper pricing and at the same length of time. All my classmates who passed the class hadnt taken the state licensing test because they were too nervous that they would fail. Course work isnt about learning the material but memorization and they go over the tests before you take them. Students grade each others tests as well. The school will also charge you for days you miss when your sick but still say you need to notify the instructor youll be absent. Letting the instructor know youll be absent doesnt seem to matter when they stillcharge you for days you missed if you need to take a leave of absrnce and they will change or ask you to change the date you drop out on your official notice saying its for billing reasons just so they can charge you for extra days. This was the worst program I have taken and I went to and passed Concorde career college. School only reached out to try and collect money they feel we owed.
