Our 1 year old daughter has been attending WeVillage for the last six months. From the first day, weve felt at ease leaving our baby in the care of the incredible teachers here. Ariel, Laura, and Michelle, in particular have all been responsive and genuinely loving. The facility is modern, yet soothing. Our daughter enjoys being here, loves interacting with the other children and is almost always in a great mood when we come to pick her up. As new, slightly anxious, parents we are very happy with her care and plan on continuing on here as she grows.

WeVillage is not the place to have your child. They treat your child differently when you bring up issues regarding anything with what they do wrong. Lets brake this down for parents thinking about putting your kids here. Do you like communication? You will NOT get that there. Under staffed was drought up by there staff!!! Do you like to have your kids handed over without shoes or coat? Do you like to have random changes to your account and be told thats our fees when they tell you nothing about these fees? Like $150 charge for a dirty dipper? A bit much right? So much to say about this place!!!! Im glad my son is now in a better place!!!! The director Michelle and owner Karen are the rudest people to have watch your children. They may reply to this saying sorry just to put a front on but if you would like I have emails fro.a other parents saying the same things Im stating here!!!!In reply to owner,Just like I mentioned in first review, you would get on trying to cover an image. Laws are different in Oregon then it is in California. Would it be more informative for me to post emails from parents (which is very unprofessional to send everyones email out) saying the same thing Ive posted? And for you say I didnt get my way, far from truth! Youre business is charging familys and NOT giving ANYTHING to parents ahead of time before you charge. Ive tried to bring up issues in person but I guess when you live in California the clients in Oregon dont matter, is that why you left for our meeting that YOU set up? And then mentioned that a staff member had her hands full. Does that not confirm me saying you have your business under staffed? Why are you having a single person take care of more then they can handle? Like your interview on Facebook when you said I faked it until I made it now that youve made it you dont know what to do nor run a business when kids are at your facility. You say I threatened your staff, I guess you could be right on one thing because I did.. I let YOU and YOUR staff know that if our money was not given back I would report you to the state, but I dont think that would be a threat because I did report you. When I first brought this up with your staff they werent threatened nor did they fell that way, in fact both of them understood where I was coming from and both agreed that it was not okay for us to be charged in the first place. Again I urge anyone and everyone to ask for a handbook, ask for the policies and procedures of safety. Which is why once I started to ask for these you decided to end care. So this is not a bullying matter but giving information to future parents. Kids are not just a paycheck and shouldnt be treated like one.

My daughter is almost 2 1/2 and it was her first time trying out preschool/daycare. We live in Norway And there is no option for flexible day care. You either go full-time or you don’t go at all. My husband and I weren’t ready to send our daughter full-time so she’s just not been in daycare which is been fine.I was visiting my sisters for a few weeks in Portland and I figured I would check it out. My daughter really loved it and she learned a lot in her short time there. The two people who work there and the manager it seem very professional. they all have their strengths and weaknesses which I think is great. I want people to remember that these people are watching your children and they give up their weekends and their whole day from 7-7 pm to take care of your children. When I read reviews of people being annoyed that it’s closed or they are not picking up the phone or they didn’t give enough notice, It seems to me that those people have never worked in customer service. Be thankful that there is a place like this and there are people willing to give up their time and some Saturdays to watch your children so that you can have time to do what you need to do. It may not be perfect and it’s a little pricey but I think it’s a good value for what you get

We have had our daughter enrolled here since I returned to work following my maternity leave. The director, Amina, is very responsive, communicative and responsible. We also love Hayley, who honestly loves our daughter as much as we do. They have made the transition to being with my baby full time to going back to work full time so much easier, knowing that shes being so well taken care of. They were super helpful when my daughter was refusing bottles at first. I know they keep the kids engaged, as she always comes home with crafts theyve worked on during the day and they go for walks regularly. I highly recommend!

In love with We Villiage so grateful for its flexibility in drop in care which has saved my life so many times and it’s preschool program is amazing the teachers are dedicated and caring. My daughter had a complete 180 turn around in behavior and capabilities after switching her here. So thankful to the teachers and staff. I feel more secure and confident in my girl’s success into kindergarten now. We are going to miss everyone here but will be back when ever we need drop in care and visit our friends again!

This was our first time ever leaving our 4 month old and 2 year old in a daycare. We were in town for only 4 hours and we talked with Amina, who graciously handled all the details and worked very well to help us out.Our oldest was too tired and irritable from our 3 hour drive, but one of the workers held her the entire time. 4 whole hours! Got our youngest back with a good nap.Thank you all for making this a pleasurable experience. If ever we need help back in town, we trust you with our kids!

We are sending our 10 month old baby girl to we village on a flexible basis. We have chosen to send her from 8 to 12 for 2 or 3 days in a week. She is looked after really well. Amina is absolutely delightful and responds to all our queries. Looking forward to a long term association with We village.

I have the honor of caring for a 4 year old boy. We Village has allowed him a few hours every week to have fun and learn socialization skills. The staff have always been attentive and positive. It is a joy for this little boy and he learns what he need to learn with supportive guidance. We Village is also helpful inthat it allows the parent a bit of freedom when needed. Thank you, thank you.

Disappointed in this location. I’ve dropped off my littles at the NE location several times. Tried to do the same here and the person at the front said, “You have to call in advance.” I said, “That’s interesting I’ve dropped off my kids at We Village before, isn’t that the purpose of We Village?“ she proceeded to say to me “these kids that are here are leaving in 5-10 minutes and I had plans.” I said “Oh so that’s what’s going on.” So she said let me call the director. The “director” said there’s a minimum two hour notice to drop off the kids. I said that’s interesting, I’ve dropped off my littles before with no notice. She closed the door. May want to consider hiring someone else, Director. Pretty shameful. Won’t be bringing my kids back to We Village again.

So upsetting... they do not accept MEDICAL EXCEPTIONS for immunizations for drop-in care. Thats pretty ridiculous. I understand if it was full time but thats not the case.

Ive tried twice now, at two separate locations, about a year apart to utilize their drop-in child care services on a Saturday. Today we wanted to use the one on Glisan. I tried calling several times in the first half hour that they were open to make sure that they did in fact have availability for drop in, because last time they didnt. It went to voicemail every time and nothing on the voicemail said that the place was closed just that they were probably busy with other customers and thats why they werent answering the phone. We drive out there and theres a sign on the door that says that theyre closed for the next several Saturdays. Updating your voicemail to reflect this information would be a heck of a lot more useful than posting the sign on your door.

I was trying to enroll my 3 and 1 year old kiddos at Wevillage to meet with the Director Aimee I believe . For being the director she slacks at her job . We had scheduled to meet at 9am sharp since I do start my job at 10a.m. It was the most unprofessional daycare I have ever been too! I waited 45 minutes and she was a no show. I left a message, e-mail and called but no call back! Waste of paperwork and time. Although I loved the daycare ladies at the center they were very helpful and welcoming.

My daughter came down with terrible flu 2 hours before our reservation. I called to cancel, spoke with manager & owner and they wouldnt let me cancel. Then I asked if they want me to take my contagious daughter with the flu to them and they said not to come but theyre still going to charge me. The most terrible customer service from people who are supposed to be caring for children for a living, came off as being very money hungry and unprofessional. They definitely care more about their pocketbooks than my child. Do not do business with these people! Complaining to BBB also, so outraged.

STAY AWAY!! (see below oregon(dot)gov childcare complaints) I am in the process of reporting our experience. We tried this place for the first time yesterday. It was the first time my son had been to a day care, since my daughter was born 7 months ago. I explained this to the woman in front, and that I wanted her to phone me if my son (3 yrs old) got upset, that we were just trying to ease into things. She reassured me that she would call me, and I let her know I was only two blocks away.I returned to find my son sitting at the crying table, (as my husband later called it because there was another little girl sitting there, crying, and completely ignored as well), and he was eating a lollipop! The woman who had reassured me that shed call if my son was upset, told me that it was good for him to cry it out and that they just gave him a lollipop! I cant explain how appalled I am at this place, or this woman to completely disregard my parental wishes. Needless to say, my son, refused to go back there because, he was crying and they wouldnt let him have his mommy.I understand kids may cry when in a new place. But I had asked to be called if that happened. My heart sunk, when I saw my son sitting there, crying, alone. Who knows how long he was there, and how much longer he would have been left to cry it out, had I not returned when I did.OREGONdotGOV COMPLAINTS FOR CHILDCARE FACILITIES--the list goes on and on for this place. I wish I had seen this before I took my son there.

I needed to use WeVillage due to an in-service day at my normal daycare, and backup plans fell through. After reading the online reviews I was a bit trepidatious leaving my 2.5 year old son there, but didnt have much of a choice. The online registration & reservation process was simple. Drop off was easy, and I spent a few minutes with my little one until he felt comfortable. At pick up time, he came running to greet me with a huge smile on his face, and said he had fun. Overall a good experience, especially when I got caught out with no other daycare options.

I had high hopes and maybe high expectations for WeVillage when I left my 2.5 year old with someone other than family for the first time. I tried to shake the something isnt right feeling when I dropped him off and the caretaker had very little interest in him (as the only child there at the time). I called midday to check in and the woman who answered the phone was much more engaging and gave me a generic update (just ate lunch, heading for some quiet time) which was comforting at the time. When I went to pick up my kiddo, the caretaker asked who I was there to pick up. I said his name, and got a blank expression in return, who?” I said his name again, huh, he must have been dropped off before I got here. Which was indeed the case, but hed been in her care for the last how many hours and she doesnt know his name? Finally, I spotted him and checked him out. I was never asked who I was or for ID, but if she doesnt know who my child is, I guess knowing who am I doesnt matter much anyway. I ended up leaving with about half of the things I dropped him off with because I got tired of asking and waiting for her to track them down. I did however, leave with an extra: a bottle (that I had provided specifically for water at nap time. judge away, my two year old gets a bottle) full of formula (??????). I didnt receive any information about how his day was, if he napped, ate, cried, pooped, anything, but again, hard to keep track of a kid you didnt know was there. (Even my dogs get report cards when I board them). I kept trying to shake these things off, thinking that maybe my expectations were too high but this is my child and his well-being. I think high expectations are ok in this circumstance and WeVillage didnt come close to meeting them.

If I was a kid I would LOVE this place. I am not a parent, but an award winning uncle. My sister was coming into town from New Jersey and I wanted to show her an awesome time in the Pearl. I love me nieces, but we all need some adult time. Actually, since my sister had kids we seem to rarely be alone just her and I!I started looking around online and saw We Village! It was all to perfect, we dropped of both the rugrats and were on our way. I was able to take her to the small boutiques in the Pearl, lunch, and a massage in 3 hours. I could literally see the stress drip from my sister each hour. We talked, we laughed, we bought clothes and it really felt like old times. The three hours was perfect, my sister was ready to pick up her daughters and I was ready to see my nieces again! My older, niece, Mackenzie LOVED the WeVillage experience. I think we came on a lucky day! She had light lunch by Whole Foods, cupcakes from Cupcake Jones, and went to a near by park. She said she had soooo much fun and now whenever I talk to her she asks if I have gone to The Village lately. This place is very hip and cool. The location is perfect. If I was a parent looking to eat or shop in the Pearl, I would use We Village all the time. The owner was VERY delightful and took care of my traveling nieces. Thanks so much WeVillage you have something very special over there.
