I decided to attend my sons classes with Brian right from the start (weve done 4 classes so far) and I was amazed at the level of detail, insight but most of all, FUN that the Rock Dojo provides. I played a bunch of instruments as a kid from 3-11 grade, and I really liked getting awesome refreshers of music through the lens of the guitar. Be warned however, following your first attendance with your little person, you may end up buying a tidy collection of amps, guitars, basses and pedals. Its massively addictive and tons of fun to understand the process and watch the kids grow as they pick up techniques, read music and start playing riffs of some of the best music out there.

We work with lots of music teachers so I can say without a shadow of a doubt that their rock program is great for kids to get into music and learn at a pace without a lot of pressure. The ROCK DOJO just rocks and their team are friendly, knowledgeable and fun. If youre thinking about a virtual guitar less for your children, look no further.

I took the white belt online class with Brian last month and he is super nice, super encouraging, and he is really good at his job! I was really sad when the last lesson was over but Im even more exited to move up to the yellow belt class! Recently working with Rock Dojo, every step of the way Brian brought FULL energy into the lesson plan and making sure everything was focused for his students. I wasn’t sure how it would go to have a 4th grader start beginner guitar lessons via Zoom, but Brian and Sophie have it dialed in. They provide lots of encouragement and positive feedback as they teach. So pleased that we found Rock Dojo!

Brian is great. His approach to music instruction is so engaging, encouraging, simple and fun. Just what the youngsters need to digest his instruction and keep them interested. He is wonderful with both of my boys (12yrs and 8 yrs) and they really, really enjoy their time with him. On top of it all, he is an amazing guitarist. My oldest son cannot stop thinking about his first song which he started working on at todays rehearsal. Hes really excited to develop it into a full masterpiece :)

Brian is an amazing instructor and has been teach my 9-year old for nearly 3 years. He is patient and encouraging, while very engaging. The kids think hes a hero! His positive energy is pervasive. The other day I couldnt even tell which track my son was playing (vs. the background track!). I highly recommend Brian and the rock dojo program.

I can not recommend Rock Dojo enough. My daughter has completed this program three times and I have witnessed immense passion, care and attentiveness with every instructor. Rock Dojo is a super way to get kids interested in guitar. Brian is a great teacher and my son LOVED Wednesdays because of after-school guitar. Highly recommend.

This book is great for kids and for people who teach kids guitar. I love the belt system and how each level emphasis rhythm as well as song writing. I think the author is really onto something and understands the foundation that kids need to get which will lead to a lifetime of musical enjoyment.

I teach guitar lessons on a one on one basis at an alternative school. I was intrigued by giving lessons in a group situation (especially as an ensamble). Brian has been very helpful in getting me started in this endeavor. If I have a question, he responds almost immediately. My previous experience with my kids and instruments is that it can take a lot of convincing to get them to stick with it. Not so with the Dojo!
