HorribleThe Principal, Aurelia Williams is EXTREMELY confrontational .She has screamed at my husband and I three times, once in person and twice over the phone in less than the 3 months that my daughter was enrolled in this school. I asked her 3 different times to not ever call me on my work phone but she hung up and called twice, back to back, screaming at me on my work line. ALL times I’ve communicated with her she has been extremely confrontational, loud and overbearing.However, Mrs. Shaw, Mr. Copeland and Mr. Jenkins are very professional and knowledgeable. I have now transferred my daughter back to Mandarin Middle; her grades have significantly improved AND the principal is so much more knowledgable, respectful and experienced.

I love this school im in 6th grade some teachers are really rude and they would talk and talk a scream until the class is over but there are students the dont mind there own bussines but so far i love this schooland theres this teacher the always falls asleep in class lol

Great school, Great teachers, and overall just a great experience.

Overall pretty disappointed with the school. Its a mixed bag teacher wise. Some are absolutely wonderful, some dont seem to care and never respond to emails. Bullying is absolutely awful here. For this being such a nice area, the school itself is incredibly run down inside and out. Seeing it at open house was really disappointing and its gone even more downhill the few years Ive had students there. It doesnt feel like a welcoming environment for learning. Unless something changes drastically, I dont plan to send my younger two here.

Negative experience for my children even though they are honor roll students. Awards are given based on Bestity and not what the students have actually accomplished. Some teachers do not respond to emails or set up requested conferences. Just not a good school. My youngest has one more year. Then good riddance.

I’m giving it all stars cause I’ve never been to this school my cousin Kennedy Rhett and Gary Rhett do and they say it’s. Really good school so I’m going now for my 6th grade year (this review is being made in 2019) I have some questions about like the dress code and if they wear uniforms and about the tryouts and schedule and things like that. A Fair warning to the parents that are about to put your child in this school this school is a bad school they will bully your child at this school, they will make fun of what they wear and what they can afford and, if you request for a schedule change then they will not do it so easily you have to give them the best explanation to change it or your parent has to go and change it themselves, but there are to much fights and rude teachers at this school that barley help u if you need the additional help, your child wont receive the education he needs to move on in the future, the kids are bad and are bad influences i personally refuse to talk to anyone anymore cause they will start messing with you. There is definitely to much interruptions in the classroom the teachers give them to many warnings and barley do anything about it kids have to suffer with bad influences i had to leave the school cause i Couldnt concentrate and i requested for a schedule change but they refused it so i took the big turn and left the school your student must have a clear or mesh backpack, no slides are allowed anymore, please make sure to be careful of what your putting your child into good luck at TLAM.

First day of school today and I am not happy with this school. I registered my daughter a few weeks ago. I attended orientation for her on the 14th and had expected to receive her schedule and further information for her. Her schedule was not ready and I filled out a firm for them to email me before school started I never received any emails and when arriving on the first day today it was extremely unorganized and they sent me to media room for new registrations to wait for schedule. After sitting for a hour I got up to leave. I feel her class schedule should have been created and ready for her to start. I went to talk to the principal and she immediately suggested she would get her schedule and get her to class. The principal was helpful and it took less than 5 minutes... but it should have been done. I was one angry mommy.

Everything is good but the car riding zone and the fact that you cant email any of the higher ups to discuss concerns and changes needed. For instance, the car riding zone is only monitored by 1 teacher. I know this shouldnt be a problem with adults but it is and that is skipping and finding other ways to pick up their kid without waiting in line like a an adult. There are also parents who skip all the cars, go and park next to the handicapped parking where teachers and the police office sits too pick their kid up so they dont have to wait in line and skip everyone else who is in line for 45 min. This needs to be addressed, but of course this school has no available email for concerns. Horrible if you ask me, but I guess thats what the norm is for public schools smh.

Crappy school, fights almost everyday and kids doing drugs like weed in the locker rooms, bathrooms, and other places. Kids play on their phones during class hours to skip class. Teachers are horrible they lose childrens work and dislike certain children just because they do when they dont even cause trouble. And the rule they have for car riders is outrageous they dont even use the whole car rider area they scrunch the kids together in this tiny area. The band program is good and have very fun activities (Thanks Mr.Duran). The janitors are also crazy.

This school good for all kids 6 grade and up

This school was fun and had some problems. Some teachers were fun and actually tried to explain. While in 7th grade my math teacher dint not teach us crap. I was so happy when she left this school when I was in 8th grade. Certain teachers were amazing and they were the best. If you really want a good teacher Ms. Flanagan is a great teacher. She teaches US history and through her I learned so much. She overall is a amazing person and teacher. Another teacher that I liked was Mr. Darga. He taught us reading and let us have some fun when we finished our work and helped us very well. I personally liked this school as long as you stayed with your friends and dint try to cause too much trouble.

It’s ok, tbh it looks like an insane asylum

I started like last week and it was unexpected.for me. I come from a charter school with K-7 and the my old school was small so all my classes was upstairs and no lockers. But here classes for me is like all over. Going class to class is a pain, reason why is because theres so many kids bumping into you. Teachers are ok but there not the best.There was a roach in the girls locker room today...I mean if you havent been to a real middle school or if your starting in 6th grade its alot at this school. In pe the coach didnt explain the game I broke me arm and she was to busy on her phone to notice me screaming. when she notice and sent me inside the nurse wasnt even there it was her day off I called my mom crying and they didnt even let me go get my stuff. so I had to leave all my stuff and get it the next day. besides that a teacher failed me for putting b.c instead or B.c.e.I have moved schools. Mr.schuster was a great math teacher. but yeah...

Learn to be spoiled and privileged from an early age! Parents like to block traffic going by when its time to get their kids.

Im going here this year first year is it bad is it good i dont know i just want to know what is it like and i want to know about this middle school.

This school did not prepare me for the work load of high school, nor is it preparing my sister. Theres plenty of issues at this school that need to be taken care of. Some teachers have almost no control over their students and the cleanliness of the school is awful. I will admit that some teachers were stellar, however theres so many issues with this school need to be fixed that I would have given it zero stars if it werent for them.

I mean the bathrooms dont even close well and its 1st quarter and there have already been 15-18 fights in sixth grade!
