In my opinion it is a decent school. It is well kept. The bullies and annoying children ruin everything though. If you have to complain about something, you might as well not waste your time. They never address you issues. I personally hate this school. I just am not a fan of my teachers. I also feel the lunch ladies take your money, every day I pay them $2.50 for lunch (which by the way is overpriced) and somehow I am due four freaking dollars, and once I addressed this to the lunch lady she just said “sorry” and shooed me off. I hate this school. Definitely would go with a different school. If you are just going into middle school.

Of all the schools Ive been to in the state of Florida (at least 100) Mandarin Middle has impressed me like no other. The facilities are well kept, and foster a positive learning enviroment. Everyone Ive meet from students to administration seem to really take pride in and great care of their school, and its reputation as one of the top tier middle schools in the state. The Collegiality and lack of teachers lounge politics amongst the staff at Mandarin is a big plus, and undoubtedly explains why when teachers get to Mandarin they tend to stay.(I know this post may seem to gush a bit to much but all I can say is that i swear by the validity of this review.)

I was bullied by kids there that came from Jefferson Davis. I was on a scholarship program, and I had to bail out of it because I was being bullied by two kids every day on the bus. They threw sharp objects, and others stuf i wont name. The teachers and staff didnt do anything about it. I was at a point where I didnt want to go to school. My mom was pregnant and didnt want to deal with the stress, so she took me out of the school. I have been alone and isolated by other students. They didnt understand how I felt everyday trying to ignore them. All of the kids threw rocks at my freaking head and I was bleeding a little. If they felt my pain they would stop. So dont send your kids here.

This school has its ups and downs. The teachers are either good or awful, the students are either good or bad, etc. fights happen very frequently in common areas around the school (cafeteria). My experience here was pretty good but its just the peer pressure that gets to you.

If I could I would give this school no star rating I go to teachers asking for help because Im being followed by kids in the school saying their going to do this and their going to do that and I get no help!!! Their are some good teachers tho some who would help and their are very few nice kids like very few

Didnt like the school that much when I went there back then. Kids were always being idiots and the staff treats you like little kids, Westside JD kids (Most of them) were taking over the place which I used to live over there back then and I didnt deal with many of them as a kid in my elementary days. The school isnt as good as you think it is. Mandarin schools used to be the best and now its just a prison to go to.

I would give you give stars if you nicely remove ms Dempsey from her job and higher another teacher

I think the staff tries pretty hard to keep this school well run. The teachers and administrators are okay, but they could do a bit more to prevent bullying. I think bullies and butthurt idiot children are just the problem. The teachers are pretty nice, well, mine are. Mr. Shriver, Mr. Lyles, Mrs. Tabor, and Mrs. Schaeffer are the absolute best teachers though. Ill give this school two stars. The rude and annoying children kinda ruin everything though. But that might just be me- after all, I dont really like people in general. The staff tries its best, but the students just make everything suck.

This school is terrible there has been several major threats made and some of these threats has turned into reality people have gotten tased by another student people have brung a gun to school someone threatened to bomb the school me personal experience I was dragged by my hair pulled down the stairs by my hair the dean and the principal did nothing about the issue my mom came in several times to talk to the dean he did nothing about the issue bullying is very serious and needs to be stopped for a long time this school has not done much at all I feel they need to be way more strict because this is absolutely ridiculous and there’s been way to many shootings we don’t need more we need people to know it’s not ok so make that known please

Its good but really depends on your personality if youll like this school. (Lots of fights though)

Teachers are Awesome its just the kids. A lot of profanity/cursing/bad language and a lot of fights

Gym class and theatre class sucks, its no fun and the teachers force you to do things you dont wanna do. 👎
