Changed the name, changed the phone number. still cant get through on a phone line. first day of school and my son is sitting in the cafeteria getting absences on each period cause they cant get it in gear with their schedule. schedule on Focus doesnt help them because they are so messed up that they cant understand it!! No mail, no calls, no emails, over the entire summer. But expect everyone to be on the same page. and the children suffer for it.

I wish there was a way to put negative stars. The lady’s in the parent center are amazing but the administration and teachers are a joke. That school is ran by the kids. My son has been bullied by not just the kids. The teachers are just as bad!!!!!

Just from the reviews and from what my granddaughter told me. Im really sorry and sad my granddaughter has to attend to this school. She has told me that some of the substitute teachers dont care about what the children do and has no control when they fill in for the regular teachers and most of the students there are very rude and are bullies. Im a concern grandmother from Tampa,FL were she came from A & B schools. I dont like what I hear and Im concerned for her overall well being and safety. I will be voicing my concern to her father to remove her immediately or as soon as this school year is completed. COME ON REALLY AN F SCHOOL!!! WHAT IS THE PRINCIPAL ALONG WITH THE ADMINISTRATION OR DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT IS DOING ABOUT THIS SITUATION??? RESOURCE OFFICERS ALONG BEING PRESENT ISNT THE ANSWER!!!

I went here for seventh grade and now eighth and its an OK school just need to lower the drama and ban the uniform policyy. Students have freedom of speech and the school doesnt respect that by making kids wear uniforms. Thats not what kids are about. We should be able to express ourselves throughout our outfits. This is why some students dont like going to the school and they dont listen to the teachera and staff.

Overall it is a good middle school even though its an f school it can be a greater school. There is lots of fights and terror because of the students there but overall a good school

Conflict in this school is a major problem, and When a teacher is absent and not prepared to have a sub they send the students to other classrooms; which is SUPER annoying because those temporary students distract the others from learning because they have NOTHING to do. Ive seen the police officer be late to duty on the busy neighborhood road 4 TIMES. That police should be there before they dismiss so students can go home safely and he wont be late. Im a new student at this school and ive been here for just a couple of weeks. Everyday feels like hell here and im hoping to move, But its my parents choice..not mine. It makes me chuckle when I see that this school has such a bad reputation. Oh! and btw theres some veeeeerrry inappropriate vandalism on the bleachers and art books. (advise from a student: DONT LOOK IN THEM)

If I had the option, I would give this school zero stars. Thats how bad it sucks!!!! Its a F school and the people and the area around it makes you feel unsafe. Doesnt feel like a safe learning environment. It feels like a prison.

I graduated there a week ago.I was there for 3 years it is ok the only problem was I was different from everyone but I had help if ur kid has issues and u want to go to Jd they are teachers and people who will help ur kid be successful.I love jd and there are a lot of good people.Peace out chargers

Just from reading the review it does not sound like a safe school

My son is in this middle school and theres not a day that passes by he doesnt tell me hes learned something new and he is happy. The teachers and staff care about the students. The only thing wrong, i see in this school is that its not in the best neighborhood, but most schools in jax arent so take your pick..... Bullying, well bullying is everywhere, fights who hasnt fought in school? Yes is an F school but most schools here in jax are either F or D.....so maybe need to move out of state or out of jax to find better schools.

Its pretty garbage, to be honest. The teachers hold vendettas and the enforcement of rules is clearly biased.
