I love this school. More importantly my child loves this school. Shes eager to go to school and never wants to leave. I get a full tour every evening and hear all about all of the wonderful things she did all day with her friends. The children are great and the staff is amazing. Weve had 4 children in day care at some point for the last 16 years, and weve had some really great experiences, however this one is by far the best.

This is by far the best school in the area. The administration is extremely warm and takes time out of their day to visit each room and interact with the children. The teachers do an excellent job in knowing each individual childs wants and needs. I especially like the fact that I can use the app to check in on my son during the day and see what hes up to. His words and sign language skills are definitely improving as well. The Young School is safe, clean and focuses on developing each child to their fullest potential. Thank you, Young School!

When we first toured the Young School at Meadow Creek, we instantly knew it was the place we wanted our soon-to-arrive son to attend. While we were no doubt impressed with the curriculum and the infant/todfant rooms, we were blown away by the Two’s-Four’s rooms. It was clear that the school’s mission, teachers and staff went above and beyond to provide a safe, caring and highly enriching place for children.Our son was initially enrolled at the Young School as an infant after I returned to work full time. As a first-time parent, any fears or concerns were completely put at ease. We were grateful for his teachers and had the utmost confidence in the wonderful and loving care he received. I was always amazed at the effort put forth to to develop creative and enriching activities, especially for such young infants. When our son was seven months old, I changed jobs in order to stay home with our son but we intended on enrolling him again at the Young School when he was two for socialization. Indeed when he turned two, we enrolled our son again, part-time. As when he was an infant, we have been more than satisfied with his experience there. The curriculum and activities are always stimulating, engaging and nurturing. He is always excited to go to school, loves his teachers and learns a great deal. We highly recommend the Young School at Meadow Creek to parents of children at any age!

It’s been two months since our son started attending The Young School at Meadow Creek Westminster after been withdrawn from another day care. I cannot even begin to express the expertise manifested by the teachers. We were welcomed with so much warmth and smiles from every staff member. The environment of the school is so welcoming and clean. The staff will greet you as you come in, with huge smiles and will say their good-byes with huge smiles as well.We are delighted and very grateful for the knowledge, time and love our child has received from this school. These are great teachers working really hard for the interest and well-being of every child. Every child is given the attention they need as they are guided through problem solving in the classroom and on the playground. Everyone seems very involved.Our son has grown in his social skills and wakes up every day excited about going to “my new school” as he calls it. He loves the teachers, loves what he learns and loves his friends. I am very confident that our child will grow in the areas that he needs growth in because the staff is dedicated to that. I would say that I can go to work and be at peace because I know our son is been taken good care of.The communication between the school and parents is just extraordinary and I would recommend this school to any parent who wants to see their child taught and nurtured.

I am so glad we decided to stop in at The Young School when searching for daycare for my infant daughter because it has been amazing from that very moment. The environment is cozy and welcoming; the administration staff is responsive and helpful; and the teachers are dedicated. You can see how much the teachers love and care for the kids.Its also important to note that we love the updates we get throughout the day via an app (feedings, diaper changes, activities, photos). The app has made it easier and comforting for us to be at work and away from our baby. I have two children at The Young School – Meadow Creek. They both started when they were infants. Now 4 and 2, you can tell that they thoroughly enjoy being there. Their teachers are extremely patient (and you have to be when you’re surrounded by children all day). One thing I love is how well they communicate with me about anything I need to know that happened during the day (whether good or bad).When faced with a decision to have my daughter possibly go to kindergarten early, I did research on pros and cons. The head and assistant head of school, who are both very lovely women, spoke to me about their experiences with their own children at The Young School and how the curriculum does change. My daughter would not be doing the same things. She would be learning more and continue to be challenged if we decided to keep her there. There really was no right answer here, but because my daughter loves it so much there and will likely be more socially adjusted, we decided to have her stay.Although my son is not quite as advanced as my daughter, it is obvious when we are around my other friends’ children, how much more self-sufficient he is with communication and common tasks. He is more on the shy side, but with the multiple activities that are done, I have noticed him becoming a little more independent.I highly recommend The Young School. The price tag is a little higher, but after putting two kids in and seeing their progression, it’s worth the money and peace of mind.

My son started at The Young School in Westminster this summer and it has been a great place for him so far! Our normal preschool closed and we had to quickly find a safe, nurturing and educational place for childcare. My son normally takes a while to warm up to new faces and places, but within his first month at The Young School he was asking to go to school every morning. It helps ease my nerves as a parent to know he is in good hands that are helping him grow into an independent person. I highly recommend The Young School!

I have been taking my daughter to the young school since she was 16 weeks old and I love the care she gets there! When I drop her off in the mornings, she does not even hesitate to go to her wonderful teachers and when I pick her up in the afternoon- she doesnt want to leave because she is having so much fun. I always know I can call the teachers anytime with any question or concern and the app that they have always keeps me updated with my daughters daily activities. Our four year old loves The Young School at Meadow Creek in Westminster. We had initially started him at a different preschool in their three day a week program but quickly discovered it was not the right fit for him. We are so lucky that our friends recommended The Young School and so happy that it was exactly what we needed. We knew from the first few minutes of our tour of the cottages that this was the right place for our son. And he knew it too! He started coloring with the other students as if he had been going there for ages. His social skills, his listening skills, and his vocabulary have grown by leaps and bounds in the last six months. I love that my son loves his school. My son started at eight weeks old and has been there for three years. In the three years the school administrators have turned over a few times, but the transitions were smooth. The current administrators have been in place for about a year and a half and are wonderful. My sons language and social skills are better than I could have ever imagined.

The Young School at Meadow Creek is a wonderful childcare facility and preschool. Teachers are loving and children become very well-prepared both socially and academically for grade school. I cannot recommend this school enough, and now as one of my children is now heading to kindergarten, I am so grateful that we chose TYS for our familys childcare needs.

The Young School is simply incredible. My son has been enrolled there, except for a brief hiatus, since he was 8 weeks old. He has thrived under their care and instruction. As a parent and a teacher, it is incredibly gratifying to see my 2 year old wake up excited about going to school each day. He loves everyone there. What makes The Young School different from other care providers is the mentality of the employees. For them it is not simply a job and a paycheck. Everyone there truly cares about the children in their care and routinely goes above and beyond to ensure the best possible day for the child every day. My son spent the first 2 years he was there with the same group of students and teachers, who still light up when they see him and greet him with love and enthusiasm everyday.The academic programs that are in place here are MSDE certified for Early Childhood Education. This truly is a learning facility. It is a school that not only teaches skills, but curiosity, independence, creativity, and an overall appreciation for learning. Every child there is actively engaged throughout the day, all the while having fun while learning to love learning.Having gone elsewhere, I will look no farther in the future for childcare. The Westminster location is the place I want my children to know and to grow.

The Young School is by far the BEST option for schooling in the Westminster area. The staff is amazing with the children and parents. They go over and beyond! I feel like my child is safe, continually learning new information and is thoroughly happy there. Way to go...I give you five stars!!

My son who is three and a half has been attending the Young School for close to a year now. When we moved to the area we were concerned that he would have a difficult time transitioning into a new daycare. But the staff and his teachers were great with helping him adjust to his new setting and friends. The school is always very clean (despite what I am sure the kids put it through daily) . I feel his teachers genuinely care about making sure he gets everything he needs. I feel comfortable when I drop him off each morning knowing he is being cared for by teachers I trust and who care about making his day great.

My daughter started at the Young School in January of 2013. Its been wonderful seeing how much she learns from her teachers and friends at school. The class room sizes are small and there are always enough teachers on hand to help with the kids. My daughter is now 3.5 yrs and loves going to school! The teachers are great and really care about the children.

I leave both of our girls with The Young Schools wonderful teachers everyday and I never have a thought or concern about their well being.The peace of mind out weighs everything else, they truly feel like family to us.I never thought that I would ever feel one hundred percent comfortable with leaving my children in the hands of others everyday while I went off to work. After bouncing around a few different daycares for two years with our oldest, we decided to move her to the Young School when her little sister was old enough to start daycare. I can honestly say that the Young School has been the best decision we have ever made.

From the first day, The Young School has assuaged our fears about leaving our child for the first time in the hands of others. On her first day as an infant we got pictures of her enjoying her day and knew that we made a great choice. We love The Young School. From the start of sending our child we have had no issues with anyone at the school, the teachers, admin staff are super nice and outgoing. Always asking us how we are doing, how everything is going... My older son comes home from school and says Mama I had fun today at school hearing those words lets me know that he is having fun! Weve just enrolled in the Young School, and I have to say I could not be happier with the level of support and engagement we received while touring the school and exploring our various daycare options. I explored other daycares that seemed less than interested in promptly getting me in to take a tour and to get back to me when I had questions. Not the Young School--the director was immediately responsive to me and got me in for a tour within a day of calling. The lead teacher that provided me with the tour was nothing short of impressive. I came in with a list of questions I wanted to ask, and I didnt have to ask a single one of them--she proactively gave me every bit of information I wanted and more. Every teacher was happy to have us enter and look around her classroom, and they all greeted us with a friendly smile and the offer to answer any questions we had. The school is surprisingly clean, and the setup of the building and classrooms are ideal for each level of childhood. The infant care rooms are wonderfully calming and made me very comfortable with the level of attention and care our little girl would get. Even after our tour, the director kept in regular contact with me to ensure I felt supported and in the loop about what my next steps were. I already feel like weve established a really positive relationship and couldnt be happier to be part of the Young School family.

Our son (now 5 years old) and our daughter (now 2.5 years old) both started at the young school when they were 12 weeks old. TYS offers the tools, atmosphere, and staff to create an enjoyable and educational experience for both of my children who have attended the school from age 2 on. My son has attended TYS since he was 18 months old starting in the Toddler room. The transition from at-home care to a more crowded school was difficult for him but the teachers and staff supported us completely along the way. The curriculum is incredible and he is learning so much in a short period of time. He is now in the 2s room and has made tremendous strides socially with teachers and friends. The graduation ceremony from infant to 2s was adorable and a memory we will never forget. He really loves it there and so do we!

My daughter will be starting the pre-k program at the Young School next week. The process up to this point has been seamless and welcoming. Every teacher and administrator I have come into contact with has gone above and beyond any expectation Ive had. They invited my daughter to come visit the school to check it out. We love this schoolWe moved from out of the area and stumbled upon the Young school in Westminster and havent regretted a single moment. The staff us dedicated not just to learning which as a high school teacher I appreciate, but they are also genuinely kind to our son and care for him. Ms. Marilyn in the Mountain Cottage pre-k program has taken him under her wing and shown such kindness we are so lucky to have her. Ive watched her comfort other students when they need it like they were her own children. She is also the art teacher and our son since meeting her has developed such a deep interest in art that he never had before...all her credit. The classroom teachers are all so creative. Right now they are building a garage with real tires and a power wheels. I see kids with tools and hard hats on learning through imaginative play which anyone who knows preschool knows thats one of THE best ways to learn at this age and most importantly to me as an educated, spark a life long interest in learning which the Young school does.

Our four-year old son has been enrolled three days a week at the Young School in Westminster for six months. He has thrived in their care. The teachers and staff make us feel like he is in the best care possible. They communicate closely with us and are always on hand to answer any questions we have – no matter how trivial they may seem – promptly. We take our son’s care and education seriously and feel like the Young School is a perfect fit for him. Our son comes home happy every day... what else can I say?

Fantastic school program and staff. My grandson - nearly 4-years old- has enjoyed growth and great experiences since starting with them at 6-weeks of age.

Cant say enough positive phrase for this center. The staff is friendly, educated, and genuinely caring of the children that attend. They address you each day walking in by name or in passing in the hallways. As a former police officer/ first time mom needless to say I am a little over protective. They have exceeded my standards of care and I truly feel my son is getting an education as opposed to just being babysat.

5 stars for this school! Highly recommended for everyone from Infant to Pre-K. The teaching philosophy fosters independence, respect, and learning through hands-on activities. My kids enjoy learning at school every day and are excited to be dropped off every morning. The teachers are excellent and very dedicated to each child and their needs. Ive watched my kids grow into amazing little people, at a faster pace than other kids their age. There is a sense of family and comfort when you walk in the door. I never worry about my kids when they are at school every day. I tried 2 daycares with my older son before coming to The Young School. I love this place and would never send them anywhere else!

The Young School is our daughters first center setting and we LOVE it. The Meadow Creek facility is welcoming, very clean, and very well lit (with tons of natural lighting). I knew as soon as we walked in and were greeted by the friendly staff that this would be a great place for our daughter to be, but when we learned about the Reggio Emilia approach and how the learning is driven by the children, we fell in love. Our daughter has attended this incredible school for a year now and we could not be happier with the academic progress shes made, her social advancements, the independence and confidence shes gained, or the family style bond we have with formed with her teachers.

I have 2 children at The Young School and I could not be happier with the experience that they are getting. The school is clean, beautiful and provides such an awesome learning environment for the kids there. I dont think you would ever find a better option for your child in this area!

My older son started at TYS four years ago and my younger son started a year ago. They are both doing better than I could have imagined with language, social skills and learning. The directors have changed a few times since we have been there, but the current Heads of school and cottage directors are the best they have been in four years. If I cant stay home with my children, sending them to TYS is the next best option. If you live in the Westminster area, you should check this out. One tour and you will be hooked.

My husband and I live very close to the Young School in Westminster and love the convenience of the location. This was our first choice in day care facilities for our infant and we never visited another facility. The school is secure and our first impression was that it was clean and promoted fun learning. We had a tour of the entire school even though our child would be in the infant room. We loved to hear that our child would have the same teachers until the age of 2 and they are the sweetest, most caring, non-family members we want around our child. Our baby started at TYS at 10 weeks old and now at 8 months old he looks forward to seeing his teachers and classmates. He actually gets a huge smile on his face when he sees their friendly familiar faces. Every day when I drop him off and pick him up I take a few extra moments to watch him settle in and interact with his friends and the toys in the room. This is also a good time to ask the teachers questions or for us all to share stories. This is our first child and I appreciate their wisdom when I have a new mom question or concern. When he started, TYS wanted to know the recommended schedule for my child, but when he started the only thing I really had down was a good eating schedule. They helped tire him out during the day so he now sleeps soundly at night, all the while getting good nap time during the day. I cannot thank them enough for this. The level of care my child receives is second to none and I do recommend The Young School, any location, to anyone!

Choosing a daycare for your child is one of the most challenging decisions. From safety to feeding to play, there is a lot of trust that a parent or guardian must give to the provider each day when you drop off. I dreaded going back to work and could not imagine my daughter in daycare. When I toured the Westminster location of the The Young School I was impressed by the building and its features. I then loved the aspects of the program and the flexibility. I felt safe with my daughters primary teachers. We have been with TYS for 14 months and the aspect that I value the most is the communication. I am a particular mom that openly shares all thoughts, feelings and concerns that I have. I have been continuously met with an open mind and the upmost flexibility. To me this is what makes the school stand apart from others. There will always be bumps in the road and to know that you will be heard and supported is what is most important to me as a parent.

I highly recommend the Young School. The staff is dedicated and maintain wonderful communication with me. My son has flourished and has made so much progress in terms of social, cognitive, academic, and linguistic development.

My daughter started at TYS when she was two years old and I was so impressed with the way the administrative staff and teachers worked to make sure her transition was seamless. I love The Young School and so glad we made the switch! This is NOT a daycare. This is a professional, learning, environment that is warm and inviting to everyone of all ages. The communication from the top to the bottom is just amazing. Doors are always open to talk to teachers if needed. I have 1 in an infant room and 1 in the pre-K. I seriously feel like I have the best of both worlds to find a place that meets both needs so well and I can drop off and go about my day and feel so confident that my kids are having fun, learning and with the best staff. I love that my infant will have the same teachers until Age 2 and I love that my PreK child has a very open environment to work around and explore the entire day. At the very least you need to put TYS on your list and go for a tour and have a discussion. I know you will walk out in awe like we did and feel like your child(ren) just have to be in this environment - it really is like no other.

My 19 month old daughter has attended TYS Meadow Creek since I went back to work when she was 4 months old. I LOVE them and cannot imagine sending her anywhere else. We live in Reisterstown, and I returned to work in Westminster initially. When my daughter was a year old, I changed jobs, and now my husband and I both commute into downtown Baltimore for work. To keep her at TYS, I drive 30 min from Reisterstown to Westminster and then about an hour and 15 min from Westminster to work. I repeat this process in reverse at the end of every day. That is how committed we are to the people and what they do at TYS. In the infant program, the children keep their same teachers until age 2 as the move from the infant to the todfant to the toddler room. Both my daughter and I are tightly bonded to her primary teacher, and I have also developed friendships with the other 5 (awesome) mothers in her classroom. I have the luxury of never worrying about my daughter when I am at work, because I feel like I have left her with family - but even better, family who are highly educated in early child development! I could go into detail about all the activities they do, the pictures they take of my daughter during her day, the skills they have taught her. All of those things are fantastic, but more important than that is the fact that they are wonderful, caring people who I unequivocally trust with only child.
