Great Staff, LOTS of activities. My child has a lot of fun. Really cute outdoor spaces and indoor POOL! Mr. Travis is a rock star! Attached are photos for bring a snack to school day, we had a lot of fun making these together for the class! We love all our teachers.

Love this place. My son is learning, making friends, and having a great time. Very accommodating. Tons of art projects that I bring home each week and swimming lessons included. Great staff, always willing to hear you out and share anything that happens throughout the day.

We absolutely love the Wooden Shoe. My 3 year old twins loved their teachers and going to school. We moved out of state and were having a hard time finding any place we like as much. I recommend them to anyone. Dont let the negative reviews scare you, there will always be someone who is unhappy.

After visiting a few places closer to our home in Denver, we knew this would be a great place for our son as soon as we walked in. WONDERFUL and long tenured staff, family ran business, pool and a gym! Our experience was very positive and our son truly enjoyed his time at the Wooden Shoe. I will never forget some of the staff members that took the time to help us transition into leaving our son for the first time as it was hard on all of us. Although we have our son in a pre-k program at a school closer to home with excellent staff as well, he still asks if he can go say hello to some of the staff at the Wooden Shoe. They have left a very nice impression on all of us!

This place is beyond fabulous! The teacher all seem to actually enjoy working here- which isn’t a common occurrence in my experience with daycares. The curriculum is fantastic as well.

After poor experiences at other local daycares, I am proud to say that my two daughters go to the Wooden Shoe. Both are well ahead of their peers academically, socially and emotionally due to the amazing program at the Wooden Shoe. Some of the features that we are impressed with is the swimming, music, spanish and gym programs which are provided at no extra charge. The field trips are fantastic as well as the environment which seeks to educate the whole child through the best of the best techniques from Montessori, Waldorf, direct instruction, and other preschool models out there. The staff are terrific with understanding vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, or other dietary needs of the kids.

My grandma was dropping off my daughter and tripped in this hole they have in the lobby are she was holding my four month old son as she fell she got a fractured jaw sprained wrist and my four month old has a cracked cranium from it. Went in to ask for an incident report and got told they dont do one and was asked to leave while my daughter goes to this daycare if they dont have incident reports then how many kids get hurt and are not reported very disappointed in this place do not recommend at all

My son attended this daycare for 1 day and 1 day only. After I picked him up and got him home his diaper was so full it was evident he had not been changed in some time. Additionally he had a large sore on his bottom which appeared to be from a spider or some other type of bug. Most daycares provide 1 day of care for FREE to allow children and parents to test out the facility. After my experience I was not going to pay for the ONE day that my child attended. I immediately took him out and went elsewhere. Keep in mind their weekly rate for 2 yr olds was $250/week as of August 2017. Fast forward to October of 2017 I have a collections agency contacting me stating I owe Wooden Shoe Daycare $236 for 2 days of care, registration, and late fees?!?! Wooden shoe, please respond to this review or contact me directly and let me know how after receiving horrible child care for ONE day, I now owe you for TWO days along with a REGISTRATION FEE for ONE day of care that was horrific?! In addition to late fees and whatever else you added in there?! Are you that desperate & in need for families that you feel that that is acceptable behavior? I look forward to hearing from you for an explanation of how you feel it is okay to take advantage of families and provide awful childcare in a filthy facility.Thank you!Kindly,

My daughter has been attending Wooden Shoe since she was 1 year old- and still continues there for before/after care and summer program. After researching MANY of the surrounding care options- trying the Anchor in Arvada and a day home I found The Shoe. What first caught my attention were the ladies caring for the age 1 group at that time. I am embarassed to admit I have now forgotten their names (Bea?) --- but the fact that they had been there 25-30 years plus showed me that they knew what they were doing --- and worked in a place that couldnt be that bad in my mind to stick around for so long. My initial impression continued on through to the afternoon cargivers-- young women/men who had been students at Wooden Shoe and were now working there part-time- some while pursuing their early childhood or education degree. They are non chain and family run--- and embrace your children as their children. They have a pool, food my daughter still talks about ---she misses their spaghetti- offer mom and dad nights out, and have THE BEST concerts ever. How those ladies ever taught my daughter to sing and perform love potion number 9 at the age of 4 is beyond me--- I so miss these concerts, I have not yet seen one come close at her public school and she is going into grade 3. She excels in her behaviour and at school - I cannot help but think it was from all the hard work and devotion of the team at the Wooden Shoe.My only regret is that we did not take them up on their offer of private Kindergarten- we had no need to rush into public school thought her experience there was fine- but by the time you pay before/ after school care AND fulltime kindergarten it would have been less hassle and more personal attention for Tori.Plus parents --- they have not had ONE snow day since Tori has been there- so for those of us whom have to get to work - think about those days when school is cancelled or closed!Thank you to the staff and family at Wooden Shoe-You make not having grandparents/family in the area feel like there is still some sort of family atmosphere present in our every day life.Sincerely,Alex Worl
