All summer long they marketed to us to put our kid in after care for the 2021 school year. 1 week before school is starting they called and said they would no longer service Hammond. This put us in a very bad spot and there are no spots in other programs we would have done. I get that staffing drivers may be tough because of COVID but 1 week notice after pushing hard for their program is unacceptable.

Super impressed with EYS & I highly recommend to any parent looking for a safe, fun & organized after school program 👍.My son just started kindergarten this year & as soon as school began he begged me to let him take the bus to EYS after school since so many of his friends& neighbors loved it! They have so many fun & friendly counselors that make the day exciting with sports/games and arts & crafts, and the kids make lots of new friends with a great group of kids.

The staff here are wonderful. My kids truly enjoy being there and my kids get mad if I pick them up too early. 😊 They do a great job teaching the kids respect and confidence.

My son loved this place he had a great time and at times even got upset with me for picking him up early. Unfortunately I had to remove him from the program due to an incident. I was even more upset at the way it was handled. My son was 5 when he got picked up after school by their transporting vans. He happen to fall asleep one day and was left in the vehicle. My son was able to get himself out of the locked van and was unharmed. I was upset how the situation was handled because I wasn’t even notified the day the incident happened nor was dad. After speaking with the manager twice I made it known that one of my request from this situation was for her to send an email to the rest of the parents notifying them of this incident. Not to be a punitive email but more of an informative one so that parents know that this can happen to their children; To teach their children what to do if put in this situation and how to get out. To inform the parents of what happened and what the facility is doing to ensure it wouldn’t happen again and so if any child is put in this predicament they react instead of freeze because a number of things could’ve happened to my son that afternoon. It has been two weeks and I have yet to receive an email being sent out to the parents nor was I copied in the email. So as a concerned parent I want to make sure what happened to my son doesn’t happen to anyone.

This is the second year here for our son and he totally loves it. He has made many new friends and loves the martial arts class. The coaches here are very professional and encourage positive attitude in kids. We are at peace knowing he is in safe hands. Their communication with the parents and interaction with kids is awesome !!

My son loves EYS. He has been going there since the summer 2020 and has made many friends and even a few in our neighborhood we did not know about. The coaches and owner are friendly and responsive to our needs. My son has been to many camps and aftercare programs and he only asks to continue going to this one!

Our daughter started at EYS this year and she loves it! The coaches and director treat her as one of their own children. I know she is in capable hands each day she is with them. The martial arts program continues to teach our daughter discipline and confidence. Thanks to the whole staff!

Extreme Youth Sports is great! Our girl Nicole is in the 5th grade and has been attending EYS for a few years now for both after school care and summer camps. She loves her coaches and is proud of her continuing progress in her belt tests. They offer a variety of fun field trips and activities.

Extreme Youth Sports has such an amazing program. The coaches are professional, structured, silly, caring and fun and all the things that you want your children to be around when you can not be with them yourself. The only regret I have is not enrolling my son sooner. We LOVE EYS and EMA!!

My two boys have been going to extreme for about three years and the love it.My Daughter just started and is having so much fun she cant stop practicing Karate.They have so much more confidence and focus now!They have tournaments and super shows for the kids, its a great experience.I STRONGLY RECOMMEND EXTREME YOUTH SPORTS!

Our 5 year old son started martial arts at EYS several months ago. He was very shy and uncoordinated. He has throughly enjoyed coach Jared’s class. Coach Jared is so positive and encouraging, and the result has been that our son is much more confident in group activities more coordinated in sports. I can’t stress it enough, EYS is a great place for kids of all ages and abilities. They will feel loved and encouraged and have a great time at whatever sport they decide to play.

Extreme Youth Sports has always shown the highest level of integrity both in their work ethic and with the students they have enrolled. You can tell the company really cares about the childrens well being. The cultural environment is always positive and interactive with the students. Extreme Youth Sports has fantastic staff and students and it shows.

Extreme Youth Sports provides the absolute best programming for kids! The staff are qualified adults who truly care about helping kids grow and gain skills in every aspect of their lives. They keep the kids moving from one activity to another so they never get bored and they are always learning new things! If you always want the best for your kids, then you need to get them into these programs!

My experience with EMA for the last year and a half was amazing when it was under the leadership of Coach Shaun. Shaun is a true professional and expert in his field; he was amazing with the children and parents and he’s been genuine and invested in every child hes encountered for the last 6 years at EMA. He was also a true leader with the assistant coaches, providing direction and lesson plans that they would carry out under his guidance. My boyfriend and I even started attending the newly launched adult classes under his tutelage and we had a lot of fun while training hard and gaining experience in a variety of striking and grappling techniques.Then things started getting dodgy on the EYS Billing end. First, the rate we were promised for the Adult Martial Arts class was not what we were charged and we had to dispute the transaction. Then EYS charged my boyfriends account for a weapons seminar that he was informed was an interest-only sign-up. Then for the month of December EYS canceled 4 of the 16 Adult EMA classes and only discounted roughly $15 instead of $29 which would be the correctly prorated amount for the membership dues. Lastly we found out that the owner Jacalyn terminated EMA owner Coach Shaun. We are devastated. A business is only as good as its leader. Coach Shaun was the best thing about EMA; as evidenced by all the prior testimonials. Only time will tell what happens to EMA and EYS. Sadly, its the kids who will suffer in the absence of such a great man like Coach Shaun.Lastly, we recently received news that EYS is currently under investigation by the Department of Children and Families and this isnt the first time DCF has had to step in. We find all of the aforementioned instances intolerable. My boyfriend and I are no longer registered members in the EMA Adult class, nor are several of our colleagues after they found out about the owners actions and treatment of Coach Shaun. Im sure as word continues to spread, more people will be pulling out of EMA/EYS. My entire family is disappointed that EMA will forever be changed, and sadly we fear, not for the better.

EYS is a great place for kids to play sports after school. The sports, martial arts, and dance classes are great, but what I love most about EYS is the people that take care of the children. Coach Jacalyn is dedicated to ensuring that EYS extremely safe environment. I have the utmost trust in coaches Jacalyn, Jared, Scotty, and the rest of the gang at EYS. Give EYS a try. This place is awesome! They dont just babysit the kids until you pick them up. They learn character, respect, and get great exercise that so fun, they dont even realize theyre exercising! Theyd even been featured on the news and at the White House. I cant recommend this program highly enough!

We have lived in the Midwest and in Florida, and this program by far is the BEST of its kind!! Love how passionate the owners, directors and coaches are about providing such an excellent service to so many families! They are truly making a lasting mark on the kids in the community as they continue to grow this model program! EYS is the BEST!!

This is by far the best after school program in the Northdale area because the curriculum is based on education and learning and not just being a baby sitting service. If you want your kids to have fun and learn while being in a safe environment, this is the place.

I love this amazing after school program... Not only has it changed my sons life but our whole family. My son was very timid and sensitive when he first started going to EYS...However throughout the past couple of years hes learned and gained confidence and has become more respectful than I could have ever wished for. I love watching him grow with EYS and know that he is always in safe hands! I would definitely recommend this place.

There is nothing like EYS! My daughter has been to other after school programs before but EYS by far has been the best. The staff makes you feel like a family and they always put the kids first. We have been with the program for 6 years now and the staff at EYS are just like family to us. As a parent, we tend to think no one takes care of our children like we do, however at EYS, I know my son is in the absolute best hands. Our son lights up every time he walks and everyday without fail, the coaches welcome him with an excited smile and such incredible positive energy! There are days, he doesnt want to leave and as a working parent, to know he is having so much fun and so cares for, when I cannot always be with him, is absolutely priceless! My son started Extreme Youth Sports in the summer of 2015. When I did the tour I was super impressed of the friendly greetings I received from the staff, and the perfect cleanliness of the entire building. I couldnt believe that at 6:15pm AFTER all the kids had already left that the entire building was that clean! In the past, I had my son at pretty much every after school care, summer camp here in Tampa. Just evolving him with his age, and trying to find the right one for him. All having their good, indifferent, pros and cons. Yet - My first impression of EYS blew all of those places - already - away on the first day. I signed him up on the spot. I was an insurance agent at the time, I would drop him off, and pick him up, and all the staff was always super kind. Yet, I didnt have the time to be as involved as I wanted to due to my career. Although, I knew all the activities he was doing because of the awesome communication to me, and the everyday postings on Facebook. I thought how cool - I work nine + hour days, yet I get to see my kid in everything that hes doing! Come that school year, EYS discussed after school care, I was a single mom, at the time, and it was definitely affordable, when I compared to the others When the others were not installing the values that were so important to me, and that Extreme Youth Sports actually was - so I signed him up! They also offered me a free 30 day trial of martial arts! BAM! Cool! I jumped on it! When I first sat down on his first night of martial arts class I was speechless. I couldnt believe my son was in such a wonderful program all summer long that I did not get to see. His focus, his discipline and respect - that was already good at home, (which I could tell he was getting even better at home too) was also being encouraged at EYS & EMA! I signed him up for martial arts night classes, because I was just in awe - AGAIN! For the past 2 years my son has grown so much - from starting as a white belt, now a purple belt. Yet all the core values I was teaching him at home the were being supported and encouraged at EYS & EMA! The 3 keys to success? Confidence, Discipline & Respect! What are they? The Best! Why are they the best - Because they NEVER quit! They know? Hard work - pays off! Something that my son and I now have said for the past 2 years every morning since hearing it that very first night in martial arts class. Every child and adult can benefit from saying it and hearing it daily. Now fast forward - I had the amazing opportunity to change my career to work for EMA & EYS - I could not pass it up because of my belief in the company. I have a mothers personal testimony, and now a professional testimony. My personal testimony was that Ive seen the program, being taught by my village over the 2 years, truly supporting all the old school values in a new school way make my son excel beyond expectation of an afterschool program. Respecting the coaches and each other. Discipline, in the manner of how and when he acted. All the while, his confidence was soaring - And he was coming home so happy EVERYDAY! I would check his homework nightly - we would NEVER have to re-do it, because of the homework assistance provided at EYS. All the friends he had from school that were there, the new ones he made, were the the kind of kids, (as a mom) I wanted him around. The best part was my son LOVES it! Now professionally - I know why. Family owned and operated, everyday is structured, consistent, and focused on ensuring we do our 100% best at working with each and every child on their daily routines, homework, structured activities, fitness - to have fun, and be their absolute best that individual kiddo can be!
