My son LOVES this program. It is conveniently located, affordable, and an absolute blast for the kids. What drew me to the program was the level of professionalism exhibited by Master Ken and his staff. Emails and other forms of communication are answered promptly and courteously. As a testament to the teacher, the students are very kind and respectful to one another. Because of the great environment and enrichment of karate skills, my son is often hesitant to leave. My 2 children have been attending this after school program for about a month, my husband and I love the results that we are seeing in our children. When they wake in the morning they meditate, they are listening and following directions more and also, when their names are called they respond by saying yes/no maam/sir. This place is teaching my babies respect, patience and discipline (just to name a few). I am grateful for the lessons being taught to my children in addition to the Martial Arts (which they are teaching their younger brother some moves!!)

Our daughter has been going here for after school since relocating from out of state. She loves it and has learned so much more than just martial arts, like mediation and kindness. Master Ken & Ms Debbie are great at what they do. Recommend to anybody with school aged children! Plus they have a super cute dog who’s always there.

I wanted this to be a good outlet for my 5 year old. She has sensory issues at times but she does well with quite, organized activities. For some reason she always had a meltdown at this program. I couldn’t understand why, she didn’t do this in school, not even the YMCA . It just came to the point where I was called to pick her up and that was it. It’s sad they just kind of gave up; feeling “well she must do this at home or be used to getting her way”. At this location I have only seen 2 adults with the kids, one at the front desk one managing the kids. If one is out, it may be difficult to handle any issues that may come up. Based on that I understand they did their best considering they only have 2 people.

My son has been going here since he was 5 years old. He is almost 11 now and he has a built a relationship with the staff as well as the other children. Taking martial arts has helped him calm down a lot in class and it gives me peace of mind knowing he is in good hands and good company while I am at work. I appreciate that he can get his energy out and learn martial practice in the process.

I have 2 children attending Martial Arts Kids. I must admit the first week took some getting use to for them. I almost pulled them out of the program. Master Ken assured me that this is new and I should give it some time as some kids need to adjust. They never attended after school care. We are now 2 months in and my boys will also like to attend on Saturdays. Its awesome hearing how excited they are about the program now compared to the first week.

My son has been going there for 3 years and I couldn’t ask for a better program. His behavior has improved immensely since joining and Master Ken and Ms. Debbie have become like family. If you’re looking for an amazing martial arts after school program this is definitely it.

Martial Arts of Kids After School Program is a fantastic program for kids. My son is a very active child and they are patience with him. However, Master Ken and Ms. Debbie has done a great job transforming my son in a short period of time. I would highly recommend this program.

My son has been participating at MAK for almost a year and he truly enjoys it! Master Ken, Ms. Debbie and their staff are awesome! The lessons are detailed and structured for the kids to learn quickly and easily. My son always leaves smiling from having participated in all the fun activities. Not only is the program great at teaching kids about the core values of Martial Arts, like honor and discipline, they also help them with their homework. We love MAK!

My daughter has been going here for 5yrs and she loves it. There are days she doesnt want to leave. It has helped her grow up to be a leader and over come a lot of obstacles. It is a great program. Master Ken and Ms Debbie are awesome with the children.

My mildy autistic son has been going for the last 2 yrs now. Since he started at age 5 till now is difference between night and day. Master Ken and staff are great. And my son really enjoys being there. I highly recommend!!

If you are looking for a safe, fun, and affordable place to care for your child/ children THIS IS IT! Your kids will enjoy many activies included, but not limited to, movies, artwork, and my favorite HOMEWORK! And ofcourse they will teach your child marital arts and defense mechanisms! I love this place! And to put a cherry on top THEY PICK UP DIRECTLY FROM THE SCHOOL! You absolutely have to check it out for yourself, you and the kids will fall in love!

When I initially found this after school, I didnt know what to expect. I wanted a safe place that wasnt to far from home with an open availability. Am I blown away? YES! We love Martial Arts Kids. My boys are more sociable, discipline and come come excited about what they learned. Not only is the cost affordable, they also provide transportation. Thank you Master Ken and Ms. Debbie for being so AWESOME!

My son has been attending the after school program since October 2018. The staff is very nice and the program is very structured. My soon is becoming more disciplined which helps when he is in school.

This is the second school year my son has been going here. Master Ken and Miss Debbie are so good with the kids, and my son enjoys going. I can tell he learns a lot, and because this program picks him up from school, its so convenient!

This place was like a second home to me while I was in school. I attended here throughout highschool eventually making my way to black belt. This is one of my biggest accomplishments in my life and I wouldn’t have it another way. I’ve learned all of my martial arts skills, knowledge, and discipline through Ken Custalow. Ken is great instructor and a great man. He focuses on the well being of his students and puts his students first. I don’t have a bad thing to say about this program. As a young adult he was still teaching me new skills not just in martial arts but in life.Not only was I a student but I also worked for Ken. Still the best and most exciting job I’ve had. Again teaching me how to have the best chance at succeeding in life through my career. I hope he knows how much of an impact he had on me growing up as a teenager and being a positive influence in my life.As a student who is now an adult in the real world facing real world problems I can honestly say that Ken Custalow helped to prepare me for these problems, and gave me the best chance at being a better me for my future.

Love that they use karate to channel the energy that kids have into something positive and disciplined while still being fun!

My son has attended this after school and summer camp for over a year now. He has always struggled with behavior issues and I see a major improvement since he started Martial Arts. I love that he gets activity and excersize while learning discipline. Great, caring, personable Master!

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I have a son that has atriums and I had tried so many programs for him, and he was kicked out of the programs due to his abilities to learn as fast as other kids and also other factors that takes place with him. My boy was suffering with multiple bahavior problems and ever struggle to get alone with other kids. How after being kicked out the last martial arts program I was at an end and had no where that I can think of that I would be comfortable with leaving him so I can work . I found this place and master ken accepted TraVonte and worked with for over three years now with him. Master Ken have assist Ms Debbie they work close together to help all the kids with discipline, homework, independence and most of all self esteem. The cost of the program is very reasonable and they will work with you if you just call in talk to them. This will be the program my son will attend until he can’t attend anymore.
