I had a great experience on my 1st flight with UFS. I think I paid $89 and got to fly for an hour. It was really cool. I recommend that everyone try the discovery flight. I flew aircrew in the Navy for 6 years - so naturally my love is for the sky. I have been out of the military for a few years and just felt like I needed to go back up. And for the price, there was no way I was going to pass it up.

United Flight Systems is a fantastic flight school, Id give 10 stars if I could! UFS is the place you want to go to if you want a warm welcome, friendly faces, and professionalism at its highest standard. Management and employees alike go above and beyond to make sure you are happy and they always help in any way they can. The owner of the flight school has made some amazing improvements to the flight school recently as well and I cant wait to see what happens next!

Great flight school, very professional, well equipped airplanes, just a great all-around experience. Free Saturday morning classes on some really pertinent topics (I attended a deep dive on approach plates and learned quite a few things). Flight instruction I received was top notch. And the dispatch office personnel get you into your airplane and ready to go in a timely manner. Great place to learn to fly or get current again.

Great flight school and place to rent aircraft. Management and staff are top notch. Their full motion simulator is a great way to stay current or work on a new rating. The owner of the school has a great podcast called “Behind the Prop”. I’d highly recommend checking it out.

School seems nice. Will not return until after the pandemic however. No one in the facility was wearing a mask, not even the manager. Quite alarming.

United Flight Systems has a great staff and leadership; along with well maintained aircraft. As a major airline pilot I was confident taking my daughter there for her Discovery flight. Her instructor did a great job of communicating the vital aspects of a first flight in a manner that could be easily understood. I would recommend this flight school to anyone that wanted to begin their journey as a professional aviator.

CFI Dawn Largent is an excellent skilled instructor! I am a Student Pilot and learning a lot. Everyone there are very professional and very friendly. Tach & Hobbs keeps the facility entertained with their antics. This is an excellent flight school.

Best school...hands down.I first was a customer here in July 2013. I was given a thorough tour and welcomed into training. I trained at my own pace with whichever instructor I chose through my instrument rating, single engine commercial ticket, multi-engine add-on, and finished my CFI license in October 2014.The school facilitated my needs by allowing me to schedule flights any day and almost anytime with a huge selection of highly qualified instructors and well maintained aircraft.It was how much I enjoyed the school that grew my desire to teach for the very school that taught me.Now when I have time off from my regular gig I still return to this exact place with my children to watch their excitement of slip{ping} the surly bonds of Earth to touch the face of God.Captain T. In June 2017 I came to united flight systems to discover aviation. I flew an introductory flight with a very well qualified instructor in a very nice 172S model Cessna. Since then I have gone on to complete my commercial single engine land rating and I have loved every minute of it. the new owners are amazing and really are taking strides at improving the flight school. would highly recommend.oh, and also the the lowest rates around... trust me ive checked.

I had been a little nervous about taking my first flying lesson. The team and United Flight Systems did a great job of getting me acquainted with the school and my instructor did a great job making me feel comfortable during the lesson. I am very much looking forward to finishing my private pilot license (and maybe more). Great experience so far!

I did my training from zero time to CFI at a bigger school in south Florida. I was looking to get my High Performance endorsement and stumbled upon United Flight and what an incredibly facility.Bobby answered my email on a Sunday afternoon and a couple hours later I was set up to complete the HP endorsement that Friday. The facility is well maintained and the aircraft are in good condition.I came in $200 dollars less on my quote and was in and out in a few hours. Jeff Gill is an incredible instructor and the entire United Flight team is there to achieve your flight trying as cheap as possible without nickle and diming you. Highly recommend for any flight training needs from zero time to CFI and high performance endorsement add-on.

My experience with United Flight Systems has been really good. The planes are in great shape and have referred a few friends to fly with them as well. The flight store is stocked with the best equipment, log books, and everything you will need for getting started, or stocking up. The prices for instruction are VERY competitive, ground school, One on One instruction is fantastic! OTHER flight schools are about the MONEY, United Flight Systems is about the TRAINING and KNOWLEDGE.

I got my private pilot training at UFS over two years ago and had a great experience throughout the process. The instructors are excellent, the facility is top notch and the airplanes were always in good shape. United is now under new ownership and management, and I have no doubt that its long history of turning out well trained aviators will continue.

Instrument rating in October, and currently finishing commercial. Good staff, friendly first name basis, and the new owners are serious about their business. They went above and beyond to make sure my cross country time-building aircraft had some additional features that made IFR stuff a bit easier should the need arise.

Our discovery flight was amazing. My son cant wait to start his lesson. The staff was courteous and professional and has many years of experience.

I heard about United Flight Systems through a friend after mentioning that I always wanted to learn how to fly. I made the call and after talking to the owner, Bob, I was excited and motivated to get started. I am now 4 flights in and several hours into my classroom training. My instructor, Jack Ragsdill, is a badass. This young man knows everything about flying and airplanes that I could ever hope to know. Jack is serious about training and teaching, but keeps it fun at the same time. As a current student at the school I can say that my experience here has been awesome. The operations managers really go above and beyond to make sure each student is accommodated for his or her flight that day. The instructors are all upbeat and really make a point to make sure you walk away having learned something new. The owners have made great progress gettin the fleet looking good. It’s always a treat taking up a plane with a new interior! I’ve been to one other school in the area. UFS blows them out of the water in regards to price, education, and atmosphere. If you want to be a quality pilot this is the place.

I have worked for the past two and a half years at United Flight Systems (UFS) as a part time assistant Operations Manager.I have seen a few of these reviews that are pretty critical of UFS. To be honest, I do not remember several of the people who have not had a good experience at UFS. You will have to remember that just because someone writes a review, doesnt mean they actually had any experience with a particular company.There was an individual that did work at UFS before I came there and he could be very intimidating toward the students, instructors and everyone else. I was one of three people that was hired to expand the number of individuals working there but also to replace that particular individual.I work directly for Gary Wayne, who is the Operations Manager there at UFS. Gary brings a huge amount of experience to UFS. He has flown as a corporate pilot and has plenty of experience with General Aviation. He is very much a customer oriented individual. In my experience there at UFS, I have never seen Gary talk down to anyone. He is always very knowledgable and helpful with everyone.Bob Watts had been the owner for almost 30 years. I knew Bob for some time before going to work for UFS. I have never seen Bob be less than professional with our students. He has always had a keen interest in everyone there. Recently Bob sold UFS to a couple of men, both of which learned to fly there at UFS.The new owners, Bobby Doss and Matt Shaunty are genuinely interested to taking UFS to the next level. They are very customer oriented and genuinely want everyone to have a great experience at UFS. They are systematically going through the fleet and are in the process of getting new interiors and paint jobs for each of the planes. But more importantly, they are having maintenance go through the planes and updating the comm and nav radios and generally updating the fleet.So, I would love for anyone interested in learning to fly to come to United Flight Systems and give us a try. Our rates are very competitive, our instructors are some of the best you can find and our planes are fun to fly.I think you will have a great experience.

I used UFS to transition from military helicopters to get my fixed wing ratings and could not have been happier with the school. They treated me like family, provided excellent training and helped me achieve my dream of flying for a major airline.

Staff appears to be nice...Getting scheduled has never successful. Either no time slot or when I do get one its somehow eventually cancelled.

The staff here is awful!!!! I thought the newer reviews were just one unhappy customer, but they are all true. My business seemed like a burden and their customer service was nonexistent.

If I could give 0 stars I would, we had to land the plane we rented because the alternator started to go out (which should have been serviced before they rented out the plane), but the worst part was when we returned the only thing they cared about was that we didnt turn the plane in on time! Really?!?! Obviously their concern is for their machines not the PEOPLE operating them! Despicable...
