Great preschool! My son has been in this preschool for more than 2 years. The teachers and the administrators are very friendly and helpful. It is clean, spacious facility and they work on developing child skills according to his/her needs in a fun way. They provide some convenient programs for working parents, for example: summer camp, before and after school programs for elder siblings. There is also discounted rates for those who work for community services like hospitals!

I love the staff here. They are very understanding, any needs that I have ever addressed has been met and my kids LOVE it here. Though I now only have one child in here, he is very happy and I have no plans on disenrolling him any time soon. The staff members here are great. I have never had any issues arise during our time here, I switched from Tutor Time and that was the best decision that Ive made.

There are so many great teachers who work here. My daughter fell in love with them all and they always treated her like she was their favorite. It saddens me we finally had to pull her out of this school because we were concerned about her safety.Overall, there are strong indications the front desk (administrators/management) does not support their teachers. Several months ago, my daughter became ill. When I picked her up at the end of the day, I was informed of her illness and the teacher told me the administrators didnt want to take her temperature. When I asked the assistant administrator about it, she said oh yeah, I didnt get around to it.Last week, a teacher informed me my daughter was one of four children bitten by a boy that day. While we were talking, the boy cornered my daughter in the corner and she was screaming. Upon our exit, the administrator and assistant administrator were both too busy to talk. I brought in our written notice of intent to leave the following business day and questioned the assistant administrator about it. She claimed to not know any details. I told her I would be speaking to the corporate office.I received a call from a blocked number later that day and pushed it to voicemail. It was Olivia, the Director of Operations. Her voice sounded annoyed, she said she would try me later and did not leave a contact number. The administrator Ashley also called and left me a voicemail asking what she could do to keep us as a customer. I didnt call her back since I wanted to speak to someone above her and assumed Olivia would call me back.My daughter has since been removed from the school. They made no further attempt to contact us. I still dont have an explanation on whether she was the first child bitten, second child bitten, third child bitten or fourth child bitten. I still havent received an answer on whether first aid was administered; and no one can explain their bite policy (see related news story from channel 12 regarding Glendale Sunrise).Sadly, I think it is clear their warmth and compassion towards our children ends with the teacher; and that the administration and corporate office are merely interested in treating these schools like factories and our children like undervalued customers. Do your child a favor and strongly consider other options.Update: I received another voicemail from Olivia - again from a blocked number. She was calling because I had indicated on our survey that I wanted to speak to someone. I took that survey six (6) weeks ago. She’s obviously oblivious to the fact we pulled our daughter from the school immediately following the incident described above. Since she waited six (6) weeks to call, doesn’t even know the enrollment status of the student, didn’t remember I was the parent she failed to call back weeks ago, called late in the day on a Friday and again said she would call me back (she hasn’t) and didn’t leave her phone number, my review now goes down to one (1) Star - of which they are barely deserving.

Our daughter has been attending for a year or so. It’s been a great experience overall. We’ve had a couple teachers that we don’t necessarily love, but overall it has been great. The front office staff are friendly and approachable. Our daughter enjoys everything about it!The classrooms seem very structured and orderly, which I imagine is not an easy feat when you’re dealing with infants through school age. They have events like book fairs, picture day, etc.Overall, Sunrise is worth the price we pay.

My 2 1/2 year old has been going here for two months and when she started she wasn’t potty trained and she was speech delayed, she was seeing a speech therapist. Ever since she has been going here her speech has increased so much, all my friends and family are so shocked by how much she is picking up at sunrise ! And She’s potty trained, she picked up on it instantly.! I’m so glad I made the choice to put her at sunrise ! I would definitely recommend !

My nephew came home from his 2nd day here and he had various colors of paint (lots of it!) on his skin and clothes. The explanation was simply that the kids got into the paint. My question is, Where were the teachers and aides when this was happening? He came home with a significant bite mark on his arm that the staff didnt even know about. They said they would have to look at the video to find out what happened. He has had many bumps, bruises and scratches that they cannot explain and were completely unaware of. They refuse to put sunscreen on my blue-eyed, fair skinned 2 year-old nephew when he is outside playing. He came home with a diaper so full that it was sagging and completely gelatinous. He had clearly not been changed in more than an hour. His first 2 days he came home so ravenous that there was a question as to whether or not he had even been fed. We asked if he had lunch and he told us no. We took it with a grain of salt because he is 2, but the amount of dinner he ate those nights tended to support the idea that he had not been fed.And this is in just two weeks. Needless to say, he was pulled from here and will now be attending a better facility.

I have my 10 month old infant son enrolled but I wouldnt recommend this location for infants. They have strict policies of only allowing 2 weeks off for attendance per year for sick time & vacation time combined and you have to pay weekly for any additional weeks off. You must pay weekly regardless of how many days you need for the week as well. There are many other daycares which allow payment based on the days you need care. The morning teacher is very sweet but she is always sick. Within 2 days of my son starting he was sent home with a high fever and two other infants were sent home sick that week. He caught a virus and an ear infection that week. The second week he attended he caught influenza B and two additional viruses which caused him to have a high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and lost a full pound body weight because he was almost very dehydrated to the point of going to the ER. I had to pay for the week of care even though he was only there 2 days that week. My son stayed home 2 weeks to be able to feel better and when my husband dropped him off again the same teacher is there sick. When I confronted them that the teacher is sick they were just rude and not very concerned about my sons health....

These are generic photos— this is not what the school looks like. The only person who has any kind of compassion or hospitality is the assistant director. I forget the name of the director, but she has no business running that place. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS THERE.During my walk through a couple of weeks ago, she didn’t even speak to me. You wouldn’t have a Clue that she ran the place. I chose the school based off the experience that I got with the assistant director.Fast forward two weeks, my children are just transferring from another sunrise, so I’m familiar with their policies and procedures. I get my three year old settled in. I am having breakfast with him & there are two giant hamsters in a tank in the middle of the room. The tank isn’t clean, poop and pee in there, I don’t say anything, I notice that there’s not really any toys for him to play with. The place is destroyed and dirty. Kids clothes are piled up on top of where there should be cubbies, no organization. Not a room for children to thrive in. There are two teachers (ms rosie and ms Kathy) in there during this time passing out breakfast, kids are walking in and out of the bathroom and no one is regulating hand washing. I get my child settled in long enough to take his infant brother over to his classroom.I’m attempting to have a conversation with the woman running that room and going over all my child’s items & hand her is bottle that he was currently working on and frozen breastmilk for later. The teacher looks at me and with the snottiest tone says “what do you want me to do with that? We don’t take breastmilk like that” proceeds to call the director over who makes a scene. “We won’t make him a bottle, there’s nothing I can do. You’ll have to do it yourself” I explain to her that I’ve been with sunrise for years and never had any issues, it’s never been a question of thawing milk at any of the ones I visited or let my children attend. Then she asks how she would even defrost it, so I explain because maybe she’s just not knowledgeable in this area. States that she has to make a phone call and leaves the room. I’m standing there awkwardly not knowing if they’re going to accomodate the needs of my 10 month old son. SHE DOESNT COME BACK. I pack up his things and take them out to the car and have enough time to walk back to my older sons classroom and pull him off the playground (the teachers dont even notice him leaving with me).I MAKE IT OUTSIDE AND HALFWAY TO MY CAR before the assistant director comes to apologize for HER BOSS making me look like a fool for breastfeeding my child and not understanding how they’d refuse a baby his source of food. Needless to say this is THE WORST experience I’ve ever had at a daycare. I had never been more embarrassed or scared for my children’s safety in my life.If you have the ability to take your children to another daycare, do so.

This school has too many problems. My son has been attending this school for about a year now and i have had nothing but problems. I have spoken to all of the teachers who wotk with him along with the location manager amd i still have continuously had problems to the point where i am switching his schools at the end of his contract this week. He is constantly coming home with way to small of clothes on, that are also not his because the teachers dont change him or check his diaper until his clothes need to be changed because his diaper is so full. This is also causing severe rashes on his skin and the solution the teacher gives is to continuously bring cream for these rashes that are being caused by neglect. On top of that they send my son home at least once a week for being not himself and require he stay home for at least 24 hours while requiring full tuition be paid. In a nut shell this place is a nightmare, dont believe the happy commercials and reviews. This school has hadTwo lice outbreaks and a shighella outbreak in the year i have been there. That says a lot.
