I just finished my security class! I really did not know what to expect about this course as I have been a hairdresser all my life. I needed a career change so I decided on security guard work. On the first day of class, we completed the class paperwork and then jumped into the course. The instructor, Kyle, was very thorough and knowledgeable about the industry (he said he has been in security for 25 years!) The course goes over Florida laws and rules covering security guards and there was a healthy mixture of videos, Kyle instructing, and class interaction. It gets boring at times but what class doesnt? Every hour, there is a bathroom break and lunch is at 12. There is a bathroom inside the office and a coffee maker and small refrigerator for your lunch. I brought my lunch every day but there are a bunch of restaurants nearby. I am so happy that I took this course and got my temporary security license! I have told a couple of my friends about the class and they have signed up. I recommend this class to anyone looking to train for security guard work. My favorite part? UNLIMITED Jolly Ranchers! They are supposed to be the best around but wont even take a phone call for someone to ask questions about their course I understand youre not giving classes right now but its your line of business and someone wants to know about it. Not very professional to ignore them

We recently used Securus for a week-long protective detail and were floored by the professionalism and attention to detail regarding the principal. Over the course of the job, there was not a single hiccup in our protection as everything was planned meticulously. We visit the US several times per year and would recommend Securus to any company needing PC work in Florida. Bra jobbat!

So much to learn in the security class but I passed last Friday. The teacher goes over the material thoroughly so I was ready for the final test. This class is only $100. I signed up through Security Guard Exchange for $157 but found out that Securus teaches FOR them. Why pay $157 when you get the same training for $100? I recommend this class.

Ive worked with the Securus group from more than 7 years. During this time I have gained a plethora of knowledge and professionalism from the owner and the personnel. Unlike many other security companies, the number one goal to the Securus group is customer satisfaction. All of the officers are well-trained and most have military or police backgrounds. Its a great place to work with an ever-changing landscape segment.

I took the Class D course here and it was an awesome experience! Kyle took his time with us and went over the course material slowly so that we understood. They even offered to print the test in my native language which is Albanian. I am looking forward to some of their career development classes once I get hired. Thanks!

I was part of the first class to be trained at their new location on Baymeadows and it was a great experience. The instructor, Kyle, was extremely informative and answered every question from every student and actually TAUGHT the class instead of just showing a bunch of videos. I earned my class D license and I plan on going back to them for any secondary weapons classes in the future. 10/10 would recommend.

I took a security class here and the instructor Kyle took such great care of us!!! The class was so extensive and they went over way more than I anticipated. I suggest everyone take this course!!!!!! It would recommend it to anyone and everyone. It’s great knowledge to have and it’s necessary for the city of jacksonville.

Im so excited to start my Class D security license course! Its only the second day and I have learned so much already. The course is being taught by Kyle who has so much knowledge about the security work. So far, the class consists of reading, lecture, some videos and class interaction. The class is small with only 9 students so we are getting to know each other quickly. There is a student manual (I bought mines) that you can read along with as Kyle goes over the material. He gives little hints about the tests too so Im not worried. There is a break room with a refrigerator and coffee maker is you get sleepy. :) Next door there is a restaurant that has amazing food and sweet tea. Cant wait to graduate on Friday!

We have been using Securus Group at multiple properties for over 5 years now and we could not be more please with their professionalism and attention to detail. On multiple occasions we needed a guard within an hour and Securus made it happen. Not once in 5 years have we had to call them about a problem and, in the realty business, that is really saying something! If you are a realtor and need temporary or full-time guard service, you cant go wrong with Securus. Call Mike or Kyle and let them help!

I was broken down at Publix yesterday and one of their employees took me to the gas station to get a gas can full of gas and returned me to my car (I have no affiliation with them). The employee told me about their training class so I signed up for next week. If all the employees are that nice, it must be a cool place to work.

I started my security guard class today and there is so much to learn. Kyle goes over everything pretty good so I dont think I will have any problems. There are only 8 of us in the class so its pretty chill and everyone is getting along. There is a refrigerator in a little break room to store my lunch and soda. Lunch is at noon and breaks are on the hour to stretch your legs and move around. Kyle is a good instructor who answers all of our questions. Its only the first day but I feel like I can already be an FBI agent! :) The best part of the day was FREE DONUTS! Cant wait to graduate!

Having had bad experiences in the past with security companies I was anxious when I needed to book someone for our corporate event. I was referred to The Securus Group, and have to say I was extremely pleased.They were professional and flexible to our needs.100% would recommend these guys, top job

The class was very informative. Everything you need to know about Class D unarmed license is detailed. I recommend place to anyone that needs training.

Okay, I promise, this is my last update. I’m glad I did my research because it paid off, big time. Part of the reason I chose this school is because of the reviews. That was not the only reason, I asked several Security Guards and this is where they recommended. Here is the bottom line.... I went to class for a week, got my license two days later, Three days after that I got hired by one of the most respected Security Firms in the United States.... and for top dollar. So, if you think it does not matter where you were attended school, you are really mistaken. The instructor Kyle prepared me so well, that the interview showed my confidence and knowledge that they were looking for. They hired me on the spot pending a background check. I cannot wait to go to my post Thursday morning. My hats off to our instructor Kyle. Thanks again sir, and I will be back for some advanced classes. One more thing, BUY THE MANUAL! It is so much easier to highlight what Kyle is saying and digest the information rather than trying to rush and scribble it down. It is also a good source for review. The night before the interview, I went over all of the things that Kyle stressed and I feel that the confidence and knowledge that I displayed was what they were looking for. Please know, this is my beginning and I have much to learn. I wish all of you the best!This is an excellent course with a instructor who has a way with words. With his years of experience coupled with teaching, he transforms text into a almost visible experiences. Much of the course is about you, your safety and being professional. I am a why person, I learn things by asking why, why do you have to this this way. I was very pleased that most of the time I had to lower my hand because he he always told you the options, the odds and why this was the safe and correct way and would share similar experiences he had on the street. I wish more of this kind of information was available to the general public. If you are considering a career in Security, this is a must course and should be your first stop.

I own a property management company with clients throughout Northeast Florida and have been using Securus for 3 years as a vendor. They cover 12 of my properties in Jacksonville and are an absolute delight to deal with. Three years ago the owner of the company, Mike, came came out to meet me and we spent nearly 4 hours together riding to each property to understand what was needed. After he understood our needs, he sent over a detailed proposal to cover the unique properties. After a few emails back and forth, we signed the contract. (Securus contracts are at will contracts which did not lock us in to year long contracts. Mike said If you dont like us, replace us. If we dont like you, well drop you. Say what!? Lol!) Their office sends us electronic reports every morning of the previous nights events so no more hand-written reports. Yay!After being in business over 25 years, I have dealt with A LOT of vendors and I can categorically say that Mike and his team have made my job sooo much easier. Set it and forget it! I still have Mikes old business card, coffee stains, and all! :) If you are a property manager, save some stress and let Securus handle it.

Awww yeah, on my way up! Just finished the class and getting licensed on Monday. Got a job already lined up. This class was eeeeeaassy!
