I had went to tulsa during covid for HVAC and the whole experience was horrid. The classes were on the phone the teacher were completely unreliable when it came to teaching. Of course there were some great teachers but most of them were completely unprofessional teaching basically nothing on the HVAC side. It felt like I had been completely scammed and now forced to pay a loan for something I barely learned and that gave no opportunity after the whole thing as the jobs were either move somewhere completely away or work for a low wage company. Shoot most of the time the teachers were allowing students to cheat even during the final. SO I REPEAT DO NOT GO FOR HVAC AT ALL WHATSOEVER IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY.

The Instructors are awesome!!! But, I would recommend to go to FSCJ for their welding program, its a fraction of the cost and when you leave your are actually certified in what you want to be, not just having a certificate of completion and a huge bill to pay if you dont get that one job 2000 miles away to pay it back. I went through Tulsa and am still paying them and no one would help certify anything with out paying a nominal fee. I went through FSCJ and took half the time and I was able to be certified before I left. Just saying look at all of your options first.

Tulsa welding school is in a class of it’s own. I’m currently a student here, I’ve been here for about 8 weeks now, and this place is awesome! My first 3 weeks (phase 1) was a great experience! I knew absolutely nothing about welding, never touched a machine in my life, but my instructors helped me out every step of the way, between setting up my machine properly, to running my first set of stringers! Every time I got discouraged, or felt I couldn’t accomplish something, they turned my attitude right around!Big shout out to my first two instructors Jimmy and Mike! Both extremely knowledgeable, and they each offer a different point of view on welding! Decades of experience between the 2 of them, so they each had extremely helpful tips and tricks on how to get it done!I know I still have a long road of learning ahead of me, but I will always return to these 2 for any advise I need! Thanks guys, keep on keeping on!

I have worked for Tulsa Welding School Jacksonville for almost three years now and it has been the best experience I have ever had. Each and everyone of the team members here made me feel right at home the moment I stepped through the door. I have been able to meet some amazing students and experience their time here all the way to graduation. Getting up every morning coming to work is an amazing opportunity every day. I know everyone on this campus cares about each and everyone of the students and will work to help the strive to that goal to graduation. Thank you for making me a part of your family. Enrolled in this school and unfortunately had to leave before I got started. However, I do want to commend the people from admissions specifically Tina Thompson and the other staff as well, they were very friendly and helped me with the enrolling process very quickly and without a hassle. One thing I MUST mention, I am a veteran and was using my GI benefits for the program before I had to withdraw and actually got denied for this school by the VA, not really sure if the admissions people were aware the VA is not approving this school but it’s something veterans should be notified of and made aware. So I decided to share it on here. Other than that everything was great as far as the enrolling process with them.

As a woman who is dangerously close to thirty, Tulsa Welding School was an amazing experience. I am impressed with how professional and respectful he instructors are while also holding to the male job theme. Those who apply themselves find jobs quickly and easily, utilizing instructors as mentors and gateways into a career. I am now a contracted Navy welder, thus proving not only that women can make it but also that hard work pays off and its never too late to learn something new. 100% recommend for people who want a stable career and dont have a mentor to teach them the way of the welder!

I just completed training after seven months at Tulsa Welding School in Jacksonville and I strongly recommend the school to anyone who wants professional instruction in the welding trade. I was impressed at every stage of my education. Every instructor I had contact with during every phase of instruction was professional, highly skilled as a welder and instructor, and demonstrated a sincere desire to teach and help every student. The student career services staff worked diligently to help every student who would also work to seek employment. The school brings notable large companies and prospective employers to the school to interview and test students. The even provided additional specialized training and assistance by the instructors to prepare you for the welding tests that the employers give; all with no additional expense. At the end of the day however, no-one can hold your hand forever. You must be diligent and responsible to your own success. This applies to working hard in the lab, asking instructors for assistance, studying the classroom materials, as well as applying yourself to the process of finding work and proving yourself to employers. TWS provided me what I needed to get work and continue to develop my skills in this new career.

So I came to Tulsa from New York after several of my home town friends made the same move. I had no idea the concept of welding, I literally though I’d be yielding a blow torch and burning things but it’s so much more satisfying then I could have ever imagined. The curriculum is intense but calculated. I like to think of it as a sling shot effect, you get challenged and taught to do things a certain way that sometimes is common and sometimes rarely used in the field but what it does for you is prepares you for the unexpected. Tulsa has staff that is beyond hands on day to day and really want to see you thrive. This comradeship falls down to the students as well, “no man left behind!”, it’s without a doubt a true network of men and woman who all have a common goal and want to see themselves as well as there colleagues succeed!! The great thing about Tulsa welding is the “click”, sometimes it can be ridiculously frustrating and have you on the urge of walking away from it all and then...the “click” happens and it all falls into the gap!!! The confidence you feel from the confirmation is unlike anything I’ve ever felt. The instructors are very knowledgeable and supportive and they truly enjoy the company they keep, the trade they’ve pursued and the students they prep, lol, if you will. It was thanks to Ivan that at my worst moment he pulled me aside and reminded me why I made my personal sacrifices and decisions and spoke to me on a level of two people discussing life rather then someone of authority. All in all I couldn’t be happier with my future!!
