A great place to be if you want to pursue your musical talents! For me, I did it just for fun...and was embraced just the same. I have made lifelong friends as a bonus. The staff and instructors are friendly and always willing to assist. The Head record shop houses an unbelievable amount of great artists. You have to check it out for yourself.

Amazing experience! The dude running the place was beyond helpful and a really friendly guy. Seems like a really cool place to be a student, as well! The record selection was not only really nice (good stuff only--no junk/shelf filler to sort through), but more than fairly priced. It instantly felt like a place that I wanted to be. It is exactly what it is trying to be and more!

The Maryland Institute of Music has been a great place for our music-enthusiast daughter to continue guitar and vocal studies, while attending community college. She has gained valuable performance experience, honest feedback and insights into music-related career paths. The staff members are easy to work with and provide a wealth of knowledge and experience. If youre looking to learn to play an instrument, polish your existing skills or join a band, this is the place to go!

As the President of the nonprofit organization 1st Responders to the Rescue, I contacted the owner in reference to providing someone to sing the National Anthem for our Fire Rescue Games. Without hesitation, I was immediately told that it would be taken care of. Upon visiting the establishment I was overwhelmed by the layout of the Institute and the knowledge of the staff. This is such an amazing place and the most wonderful and professional staff.

My son takes bass lessons at the institute and is part of the performance band. He loves it here and we like the fact that he can be himself and express his love for music. THANKS TO RIK & TRACI for opening this window of opportunity for children of all ages. Special shout out to our sons bass instructor Lenny for sharing his knowledge and Justin for teaching them the fundamentals of being in a band.!!! Love this place!!!!

My daughter takes piano lessons here, they are amazing. She has only had a few lessons so far but she has already learned so much. The instructors are amazing and you can by how they teach that they are seasoned and extremely knowledgeable in all areas of music, they are amazing. Love them!

The instructors are great, the atmosphere is very comfortable and in my opinion always has the best music playing. Sometimes you even get extras thrown in like my daughter and I getting to see Calisus preform some!!! If you want a friendly and relaxing place to take lessons then this is your spot!!

All of the staff are very knowledgeable! Its clean, fun, and really promotes players of all experience levels to have fun with music! Me and a my friend Gretchen attended the open house on Sept 24th, and had a great time. The event was very organized and the staff was very genuine and answered all the questions that anyone had. I think this is a wonderful thing for the community, as music takes you away from the daily grind of life..Rik, Traci, and all the other staff are all very professional and make this a comfortable for everyone that wants to learn..or just be around music..You can just go there and observe if you like..and they welcome that. I have since decided to take Harmonica lessons from Steve Whiteman..For the guys from Kix. .they couldnt be more professional and just as down to earth as it comes..Music is for every single person that walks the Planet..Robert Plant.....come on everyone. .Get it While it Hot!!!
