While I absolutely love my sons teachers and friends and theyve been essential to his development, the director of Kiddie Academy of Cary is another story.I have never experienced someone so disconnected with whats happening at the facility. The accounts are in shambles, and mistakes are handled by the director with zero grace or humility. Its a difficult thing to get comfortable enough to trust someone to care for your child. Then once your child makes bonds with friends and teachers, it truly leaves you in a hard place when you encounter an operator/owner like Praj.

We love love Kiddie Academy of Cary! Our son graduated from the school & we are so happy with how much he has learned through his years at KAC. The teachers are amazing and the administration is very friendly and professional. The owners do care about the families and the staff. I love that they have cameras & their menu is healthy. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended! We moved here about a year ago and needed a daycare for our daughter while both her dad and I worked during the day. I called several centers and took tours before deciding this was the place. I liked that they learned through play, with a good balanced of both academics and individual learning. The classrooms are clean and well-organized, and I appreciated that there was a lot of diversity in both the staff and the kids there. They have a splash pad for the summer months, and allowed a lot of outdoor play time (weather permitting) for my growing toddler. There are cameras that are connected to a mobile app so we can check in on her remotely. Best of all, the kids all seemed happy to be there.Once my daughter got adjusted back to daycare life at 15 months, she truly thrived. Her first teacher, Miss Nakia, was what we would classify as the young toddler whisperer. She just had a natural way of managing the kids and our daughter loved her class! Miss Ashley was new at the time and really bonded with her too. We could see on the camera that shes always leading some fun activity, song, or story.Ari then transitioned to the 18+ months classroom with Miss Marlene and Miss Ana. She loved them and the other teachers that were also supporting that class (Miss Ashley, Miss Eve, Miss Molly, etc.).Its important to have good owners and leadership in a daycare center and KAC seems to have both. Paulette, the Director, has always been a positive presence there. She greets everyone at the entrance with a smile. She often visits the classrooms and isnt afraid to watch over the kids if they are short-staffed.When the shutdowns for the coronavirus first started, the owners genuinely listened to concerns from us parents. They scheduled a conference call and sent out surveys to gather our feedback. I learned that not a lot of daycare owners went through such lengths to ensure that parents are heard and teachers can still get paid. The owners even admitted that they werent getting paid during the shutdown, but they continued to pay their teachers. Thats class!Right now, they are taking many precautions to make sure their center is clean and safe for the kids that continue to attend. They take temperatures every morning, outside drop off/pick up, are constantly cleaning surfaces, and all the staff wear masks. We have since bought a house thats further away and had to move her to a daycare thats closer to home. We are very sad to leave, but are very appreciative of KAC for making our first year in NC a great one!

Great place! Good learning activities each day, nice amenities outdoors (bicycle track, splash pad, etc.), relatively healthy foods, very clean. Excellent teachers and staff too. Our only complaint has been the teacher turnover.

My son loved his experience at Kiddie Academy! He started attending around age 3 until he went to Kindergarten this past fall. I loved that I could watch him from my iPhone while I was in my office. I also liked the fact that they provided healthy snacks and lunches each day.

Overall, we had a great experience at Kiddie Academy of Cary. This facility uses watchmegrow service which allows the families watch their children throughout the day from anywhere on their computer or smart devices. For daily updates they use a service called tadpoles. Not only did they post the daily activities and lesson plans, but also pictures and video clips, that we could download and save. My daughter had a great time at the daycare. She stayed there up until she started kindergarten .

As a parent of a toddler who attends Kiddie Academy of Cary, I do have to do some climate control based on a previous review a parent wrote about the center. It was not a correct depiction of the center my child attends. That was an isolated incident or should I say incidents seeing as though that parent has caused trouble at least two times while I have dropped my child off to school. Kiddie Academy of Cary has been nothing but exceptional when it comes to the childcare environment and education of the center. The staff at KAC are very involved and friendly. My child and I are greeted as soon as we walk in by both the Assistant Director and Director and any other staff member we may see on our way to my child’s classroom. The teachers are even more amazing! They have a unique relationship with each child they serve and you can tell that they genuinely love what they do!

Under new ownership and Im not sure if its an improvement yet or not. Basically, the new ownership is very interested in firming up the billing policies and thats a good thing. I just dont know about the focus on retaining the good staff that exist in especially the older age rooms. I like this place for the teachers not the owners though. The director is pretty good and reasonable to deal with as well. Weve had a few different complaints (bad new teacher, kids shuffling rooms unexpectedly, blankets when sleeping) and weve been able to address all of it pretty well. Id give 5 stars if you didnt have to keep paying when you go on vacation (wouldnt mind paying if I knew the teachers were getting the money, but Im not sure thats the case at all). Good work here overall.

The facility is nice, and we especially liked the teacher of the younger infant class (Ms. Acecily). She was very caring and sang or did activities with the kids when there wasnt a baby to be fed or changed. However the management at Kiddie Academy of Cary is dysfunctional and untrustworthy. On our tour, we were told that our child would never be moved out of his room. From the very first day and everyday after that (without informing me first), my child was moved from the younger infant room to the older infant room at 4:30. Prior to signing the contract, we asked about the vacation policy (2 weeks off at half tuition after being there for 6 months) and mentioned that we take vacations in December (only 3 months after we started). The director told us that they make exceptions, and that that should not be a problem. We also asked about the policy with the deposit; if things didnt work out (due to, for example illness) and we couldnt give 4 weeks notice, would we lose the deposit. She again said that it is a case-by-case basis and she has never not refunded a deposit. Needless to say, everything we asked about prior to signing became an issue. The owner and director are not on the same page; the owner is a stickler for his contract, and in retrospect it seems like the director says whatever the customers want to hear to get people to sign.We ended up taking our child out of daycare due to health reasons; he was far too distracted to feed well there; he started daycare at the 10th percentile for weight and ended up in the 3rd percentile after 4.5 months. We walked in first thing on a Monday morning to talk to the director to inform them that our son would no longer be attending the daycare effective immediately. We didnt question her when she said the deposit would be taken (despite what was discussed about the deposit prior to signing). We did however ask if the tuition we paid for that week could be refunded, and she said that that shouldnt be a problem. And of course, it was a problem. The owner refuses to refund us the tuition, and he hasnt given an explanation as to why.Another area of frustration was that whatever requests we made were always initially denied. We had to have at least 2 or more conversations with the director before she stopped to actually think what we were asking for. We saw that we werent the only parents who had to do this. Example: When our child first started solids, we asked that his food be heated. The teacher was new and told us to ask the director. The director told us that there was no way for the center to heat up baby food, and that baby food does not need to be heated. Thus we sent our child with only fruity purees because he wouldnt eat his veggie purees cold. Later on, we found out that the teacher in the older infant classroom was heating up baby food in the bottle warmers, so we really dont understand why we were told that it could not be done. Another example: When we asked why our childs food was being transferred from his tupperware to a school bowl when it can easily just be fed from his own bowl (and thus minimizing food waste from transferring), the director said that it was a sanitation regulation. Except I checked with another 5 star daycare, and it isnt. Were also told that kids cannot be in sleepsacks without a drs note because it is a state regulation. Again, it isnt. The state allows sleepsacks in daycares without a doctors note. The over-the-top restrictions that the teachers have to follow at this particular daycare makes me think that they care more about maintaining a perfect sanitation grade than what is in the best interest of the children. Its a shame that the management was so poor for an otherwise nice facility and teachers.

- owners increase the tuition by 5% every year but this is not disclosed when you first enroll- teacher turnover is extremely high- owners and director are not easy to work with
