Teachers steal your stuff. The school needs to put in place real rules and better dress code. The schools interior feels like a prison, and the ONLY thing good about it: nothing. Also, how can the elementary schools be good, North Atlanta is amazing, and yet Sutton, for its own good, can not at all seem to get their stuff together. If I could rate it a 0/5 I would.

Sutton is a great school. My son and daughter love it there. The curriculum is strong and the teaching staff are dedicated to your childs success. There are so many clubs and extracurriculars. They really have it all.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. The administration and teachers here make it hard for kids wanting to be here. The students have no freedom here we cant even have our headphones in the hallways if they see them they will take them. the bathrooms are never clean most of the time urine is on the floor in the bathroom, there usually isnt any toilet paper in the restrooms. The academic Level is horrific its lower than most schools. The teachers dont give the same rights to white kids as they do the colored kids. I have seen one of my friends get stuck in a rat trap. There are all ways rats running the school and huge bugs also. They dont offer any support when it comes to your life. Graffiti is a daily thing seen all over.

Fortunately, I was blessed with not attending this school. How is it that Morris Brandon is a phenomenal school and North Atlanta High School changed for the better in a short amount of time, but Sutton cannot get it together? I know people who have attended this school, some people who are very close to me, and Sutton completely changed them for the worse. Now, they are struggling with transitioning to high school. If students do not do well in high school then how will they do well in college or in life? Remember, this is our future generation we are talking about. That is why middle school is key! I think the two problems Sutton needs to work on is first, teaching their students good morals. For example, how to choose good people to surround themselves with, about anti-bullying, and what should be their priorities in life. Especially, for the last point I listed because they tend to focus on social media sites like Instagram and Instagram stars. They should be inspired by modern day leaders, not people who got famous because they took cute pictures of their breakfast. Second, Sutton should work on their teachers. If a student asks for help, help them until they get it! Dont give up on your students. Also, I heard there was a lack of homework given to the students. It is great that the students arent bombarded by loads of homework, but at least give them a decent amount of it so they can learn by themselves as well because I believe one of the only ways to truly learn is by self teaching. Lastly, I never make reviews on things, but the way Sutton functions really hurts me and the people I love. I hope someone on the board or someone higher up will look at this review and maybe do something about it. This is too nice of a district with loads of money for this to just be a mediocre school.

Its a good school at times but theres just a lot of behavior problems. Plus the teachers have absolutely no patience. One time my 5th period teacher gave me 30 seconds to use the restroom or get a silent lunch. the problem is...the bathroom was all the way at the end of the hallway. So I ended up not going.

Academically the school is outstanding! There is a problem with behavior and bullying at times. There sadly are a couple of fights here and there but eventually the recipients of the situation end up learning their lesson. Overall this school reaches high standards for a middle school such as having a nice building, the international baccalaureate program, great CRCT (now milestone) scores, and great teachers.

For a public school in Atlanta Sutton is steller. They use the web to keep parents advised of homework. They have security. Nice facility. It can be tough to get there durimg rush hours due to heavy local traffic. They have many activities for kids. We drive 35+ minutes each way 2x a day so child can attend.

The school is great. The people that have said these things were mad at the school but I can ashure you that your child should go here.

I love this middle school ! There are many things I like about it like classes, lunch, campus, and students .

Awful school more and more teachers quit every year cuz of the terrible students and Ms. Gail is the worst principle ever... explains why she got kicked out of her old school for cheating kids grades. Too much fighting, i just witnessed one a few minutes ago in the bathroom, kids smoke weed here on a daily basis

I have two children at Sutton (8th and 7th) and in addition to the great education Sutton/APS offers, Im so thankful for the strong PTA and all it has to offer. My kids have been involved in everything from sports to clubs to academic competitions, and I thank administration, the teachers and the parents for all they have done to offer my children such a variety of opportunities. Go Cougars!

This school is not good. My son came home with a dildo his friend (at this school) gave him. The teachers did nothing! if you dont want your kids coming home with dildos dont send them here.

There are plenty of other schools. Keep it moving.

I love it! The way they treat their ir students is great! No bullies at all! IB SCHOOL!!!!! CRCT practice not every single day!!! Only a couple teachers and students are mean!!

This school is great im in 8th grade and i will sadly miss our teachers and students, i have learned alot from our remarkable memories even the bad ones, we have had some fights here and there but we all love each other because were a team and we always do our best even if we dont understand whats going on the first day . :) its just the dress code is extremely strict

This school is below average. It needs a lot of improvement if you have the choice of this place (prison) or another school in the area chose the other place because the school has had many chances to improve and it chose not too. so if u want you child to have good education go somewhere else.
