Top-notch educational opportunity! At first I was shocked by some of the reading materials assigned to my student: titles such as Flowers for Algernon, The Kite Runner, and other disturbing novels. Students are challenged with titles such as The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, The Book Thief, Huckleberry Finn, The Secret Life of Bees, To Kill a Mockingbird, and others. The curriculum, overall, is very liberal and integrity-building. Students read articles and view videos reflecting societal disparities--not only those in the U.S.--and they discuss those concepts in class in seminars. The curriculum teaches students to be aware of racial disparity, gender inequality, herd mentality, and other important issues. Students learn invaluable crital thinking and leadership skills.I highly recommend this school to any parent who is enlightened and can afford to send his or her child there. (Funny thing. Senator Michael Lees kid was a student there and suddenly relocated!)

Cape Fear Academy has been a great school for my daughter for the last 4 years. I am thankful I was able to get her in when I did. I am amazed by the quality of the education over the last 4 year and the administrations ability to adapt to new covid-19 restrictions. Thank you CFA!

The teachers at Cape Fear Academy make an incredible effort to get to know each child personally and support them to be the best learner that they can be in a fun way. Cape Fear Academy is a loving, yet highly challenging school setting. Our children are thriving both in academic success, in opportunities for extracurricular activities and in confidence. If you are considering CFA, I highly recommend allowing your child/children to begin their schooling in the Lower School division of CFA and not waiting to attend the school in Middle or Upper School. CFA has high academic standards for success that build upon each years studies.

Its a really well structured school and most teachers hold PHDs or MBAs so the students recieve a crash course in academics from a college point of veiw.
