Karen Lauffer at Silver Strings has been teaching my children for over 12 years. You could not ask for a better strings teacher. She is amazing.

I am an adult and I have studied with Karen since I started playing again about 5 years ago. My playing has improved so much! She has helped me learn to play anything from fiddle to Mozart and Bach. Very skilled in helping with technique and also can accompany anything we have chosen. One of the best teachers I have ever had. Highly recommend.

Silver Strings Academy is a fantastic place to have your child learn a stringed instrument. My youngest started taking violin lessons with Karen Lauffer when he was in first grade. With her guidance through the audition process, as a fifth grader he is now in a local youth symphony. She works well with young children as well as older kids and is equally fluent in the Suzuki method as well as other musical genres. Students at Silver Strings Academy get the opportunity to have private and group lessons. 5 stars isnt enough.

Karen is very friendly and accommodating. My daughter loves her private lessons and has grown so much! Also, very flexible with scheduling and accommodating our busy schedules.

My son loves his violin lessons and so do I! Karen is an excellent instructor. My son started playing violin when he was 7 1/2 and he is 13 now, still loving it!

Karen is an amazingly gifted and talented person who can not only perform, but also teach to all levels and ages of students. She is empathetic and perceptive which provides her to uniquely, and effectively engage a person or work through a learning situation in order to share her love and passion for music.She has truly been a gift in my life and I feel privileged and humbled to have her as my instructor.
