I honestly think this school is pretty great. Besides some of the bad behavior of the students but the school can’t control that. The staff does a nice job including students and doing activities for everyone to participate in. It’s kept really clean and most of teachers know how to teach and have different styles. No school is perfect but Silver Hills is recommended. I have a great time there.

When I went to silver hills, It wasnt the best. The kids didnt know how to behave themselves in class, they were very immature, and rude. Some of the teachers didnt seem to care what they did, and some teachers did. But certain teachers helped with problems and others didnt. The office staff never really helped me when I needed to be helped, and their motive to stop bullying never really happened. I was constantly bullied and harassed. But the school was okay besides these things

Your child is treated as if theyre property of the school & parents wishes are completely disregarded. Children are not treated with respect, they are only viewed as dollar signs in this schools eyes. Ive had two children attend this school for a combined total of 5yrs, I do NOT recommend this school.

This school is awful! First off they have a horrible rat problem! There was a rat in the cafeteria! There are traps everywhere outside and on the sidewalks. The teachers are racist and homophobic. The bus drivers are awful too! If you say one thing they dont like they will stop the bus and they wont move the bus until everyone obeys orders. And the teachers. There are a few in particular who tell you choose a realistic job! I told them I wanted to be a vet and they said the way my grades are I will have better luck getting hired at Mc.Donalds.

The people make fun of you and they bully you but the 6th grade techers are the best I live they are the best.

I am appalled by an incident involving a group of students and their racial comments towards other students. To make matters worse I am disappointed at the “resolution” the principle made in regards to this incident. It worries me to have him as a principal at this school or any school to be honest.

This school is one of the worst school you will ever attend. if you get caught with something once the teachers and admitastraters will accuse you with everything they dont let you talk they just blame. theres always fights happing and bulling the people here are all here for drama and fights not school. when you report bulling or something they dont care they only care once it happens they wont prevent it. But some of the kids here are the people that you would love to meat they are loving and caring and will always have your back but you cant really trust anyone. If you want your kid to be good at school and not get introuble often dont send them to this school

This school is definitely one of the worst schools I have ever attended. Most of the teachers here are very rude and dont really care about students education. There is also always a lot of fights and staff never do anything to prevent them from happening even if the students report it. The staff here only care about making money and they dont really care about the safety or education of any students. There are some nice teachers here like Mrs.Bettcher, Mrs.Richardson, Mrs.Reffel, Mrs.Peoples, and Mrs.Rene but every other teacher here is wack. I had some problems last year with bullying and I told one of the administrators as well as the principal and they did not do much but tell the bullies to stop and they only gave them in school suspension for about 2 days or so. Personally, I do not recommend this school. It is a very bad school and if I could I would give it 0 stars.

Honestly this school sucks, all the teachers were terrible. This one particular time I was in math class, my teacher assigned some classwork problems and I worked through them but had a difficult time with a certain set of problems when I went to ask for help the teacher (Anonymous) for help I saw her and she was doing online shopping. She told me she was busy and to go ask a partner at that point I decided to just give up on the school year and I realized that school and a college degree just was not for me. But I must say that there were some decent teachers and even a few good ones. To mention a few names I would have To Say Ms. Peoples, Ms. Sterne, Ms. Rider Mr. Figurin who gives out weird assignments sometimes but is still nice Ms. Maly and Ms. Evans is a good principle but does need to work on her ability to hire teachers. Anyway a few weeks after that happend I decided that I was not going to let middle school determine my entire Career.

This school doesnt do anything about bullying. you tell the councelers about something that you dont like and they call them in but nothing changes. the kids switch there stories and steal your friends everyone here is fake but a few people.You cant state your opinion to anyone because they will turn it on you. The administrator Mr Philipus jumps to conclusions. He dont suspend the person who actually did something wrong. This girl was being a cyber bully and was talking bout fighting that person. but then the other girl who would stuck up for them got suspended and got her phone taken away when it didnt even involve her phone. the people here are fake and ghetto. none of the teachers are nice but mrs fox but she dont go here no more. they make you feel uncomfortable, and tell you stuff you dont want a teacher to tell you. all the people make fun of you but you dont feel comfortable talking to them. over all this school sounds better then most but its still ghetto. The school lunch lines are baddddd. if ur in the back you h]wait for like 40 minutes, cuz its all clustered.

Ms romero is the realest out there I had her for 2 years now and I just want to say that she will listen to your problems and keep it between you two and not tell anyone about it she has helped me with my problems but now I dont have any so this is a big thank you to ms romero I will always have her back if she has mine

Most teachers I have encountered are kind, however there is one sixth grade teacher I had that practically scared the kids in my class (myself included) to get better grades. The school lunches are terrible, and usually, the only other option for hot lunch is pizza.The staff have no regard for anyone else. For someone who did not take part in CMAS testing, I was in the office a lot. All they have you do is sit in the office in closed off desks and do nothing for up to two hours.I once had an incident when a friend stopped talking to me and two of my other friends for no reason. Later we were all called down to the councilors office and I was wrongly accused of punching her in the face, and we were all wrongly accused of kicking her shins and legs, the councilor asked us if this was true, and we of course said no, but he never asked us anything else and almost immediately sided with her with no explanation.

My daughter has been going to this school for 2 years. Luckily, she is very bright since the classrooms are overcrowded. I would love to see the school to give out more homework assignments and provided them with more challenging academics. Now, the worse part is the principal Julie Evans. She is very biased with who she is dealing with. I had an incident last night at a school function where my 14 month old was assaulted by a stranger. She stood there and watched the incident go down and did nothing. There were other bystanders that approached the stranger and confronted him. Again she stood there and did nothing. The man try to apologize and I went nuts. Julie Evans, the Principal began yelling at me for cussing at the man and she stated that everything was ok since he tried to apologize. Is it ok to assault a 14 month old and say Im sorry? Julie Evans put her hands on me rather than doing what she is suppose to do...be a Principal and handle the situation correctly. So, my daughters teachers have been awesome, but the school is poorly managed with Julie Evans

SHMS is a horrible school to send you child. I went there a year ago and I went to a different school because the Princple does not do her job right and is not involved in any of the kids academics. The vice principle does not know how to handle things correctly and the staff if really rude and dont care about anything. Dont send you kid here! Worst school Ive ever been at!

My son went here last year . He has a few problems and he has all ways had I.E.P. with him all through school but Tim the end of the year came . All staff but one voted to have him put in a lock down school for disrupters. ​ kids that cant work well in public schools . He is now in high school and is transferring to a public school . Was this all worth it . To disrupt our lives for the hole year ?

The Office Team is Great and always willing to help! But the teachers are very judgmental and once they have an opinion on a child, they never change it. My 8th grader is continuously harassed by one teacher in particular. This teacher has even told her class that she hates kids. When my 10th grader who went to Silver Hills was told by a teacher that she would never amount to anything and to prepare for a career at McDonalds. Once she got to high school, she has blossomed and is getting excellent grades. She was bullied the entire time at Silver Hills and the Administration turned a blind eye because she wasnt from the right neighborhood. I think they should get rid of all of the teachers and start over
