Westminster High School is a very diverse school. At school the teachers are very patient and do everything possible to help students who do want to have an education. Teachers have a lot of patience with all types of students and help them have the opportunity to graduate, but teachers also know how to distinguish students who do not want to do anything for themselves or their education. School administrators are present mostly all the time and know how to maintain order at school. They also have psychologists who are available to help any student with anything. The classes of the students are based on the grades and tests that they take during the year. They have several activities and extracurricular classes so that the students finish with high degrees and with honors. This helps them enter higher colleges with higher grades.

My daughter is a senior here. I think the teachers and staff are good; its the kids that bother me. This school more often feels like a prison, rather than a school, because of the kids. A lot of them look like theyll wind up in jail one day. The place always seems grim. The parking lot is a maze. Its a traffic jam every day, coming and going. Ill be glad when my daughter is done here. I would recommend a different school - smaller and in a better part of town.

If only I could give 0 stars or less I would. The school itself; absolutely beautiful. The councelors are sincere and kind. The teachers... pretty racists and cruel to children of color, or special needs. The big issue here is the principle. Ive adopted 5 children. I have never in my life seen anything more unprofessional than what I witnessed and had to deal with one on one with the horrific principle at this school. After adopting my 14 year old sister who had been through a world of physical along with all other forms of abuse at 15 I foolishly enrolled her here. She went through a brief stage of not wanting to identify as a girl out of fear of men looking at her. This principle labeled her from day one. Had her suspended, bullied her to no end which in turn, caused teachers and students to single her out. Then they just decided she was not allowed to come back to school although SHE WAS NOT EXPELLED! I know it sounds crazy and exaggerated. Thats what makes this all the more extreme. I fought this to the best of my ability and knowledge of rights at the time, but with no luck. Not only was she not legally expelled, but there wasnt even grounds to refuse her to come back to school. While calling several times to ask why they kept sending my student home with out rhyme or reason they claimed they were doing us a favor by not expelling her. Again, there were no grounds for expulsion. This woman put our family through hell and even threatened legal action if I did not turn in her diary to the school. A PERSONAL diary she only kept at home that had nothing at all to do with her school work and more to do with the trauma she had been through. It has been 1 year and I am so thankful for the hell this woman put us through because it motivated me enough to find a school that my sister now thrives in. She is passing with all As and Bs... the teachers and principal have made her feel safe and accepted and she is happy. Now that I have more time on my hands, I plan to go to the school board and even further if necessary to demand this woman be punished for the torture she put us through. Bullying should not be tolerated in any fashion, especially by a principle. This is what breeds sick kids to react in violence when feeling so unworthy and treated like they have no hope. Please be careful putting your children in this school. In the 12 years Ive had kids in high school; from minority schools to higher class, this by far takes the cake on the absolute worst and most horrific experience of any school system in my life. And if she just so happens to see this, shame on you. God doesnt like ugly. I hope he heals your ugly heart.

This is an excellent school that accepts and comforts most that walk through the door. They also make sure that everyone gets treated equally for the most part

Worst school ever. Let my special needs son get bullied and they did not follow his IEP. They also taught a special needs impressionable child to hate himself.

If a student gets called out by a parent because they cant be there to take out the student In person & your staff says they will get the message to the students teacher and it never happens thats disorganized and unprofessional.
