Ive taken various Spanish classes over the years, in college and online, with little real concept of how to understand and speak Spanish. They teach you to memorize conjugations and tenses but at the end, my Spanish was miserable.With that in mind, I decided to try El King and went to an overview class one night and was immediately struck by the different approach to learning a new language.The class was small, which allowed the instructors to work with us and individualize learning in ways that each of us benefitted from the most. Each evening went by very quickly and was fun and interesting.There isnt any memorization involved, simply participating in the class, along with practice at home, really kick starts the process. Just be aware that you will be participating in conversations with many different people, along with times where you will be standing in front of the group, so it will greatly help if you are not too shy. :)The El King system uses a very well thought out, and (compared to anything else Ive seen) revolutionary way of learning a new language. You wont be an expert, but much sooner than the 60 hour class, you will be communicating (speaking and listening). They use what they call the one page book which allows you to immediately construct thousands of sentences. The system really is amazing.I cannot recommend their system strongly enough for those wanting to learn Spanish in a fun, easy to understand way. I also know their English classes work, as we communicated almost daily with people learning English, and we could see their progress from week to week.Try out a demo class, I believe you will agree with me.

Over the years I’ve attempted to learn Spanish several times without much success. I’ve enrolled in college and community education classes and tried Rosetta Stone and other apps. Spanish just never made sense to me and being forced to memorize words, conjunctions, and tenses was downright boring.Earlier this year I planned to visit Colombia and hoped to learn more Spanish in preparation for my trip. Personally, I did not like the fact that the class with one of the teachers who touched me was more Spanish than English, many jokes that even made me feel uncomfortable. The teachers are good 👍🏼I paid 550 dollars for Saturday classes and I think it was not worth it at all.
