The most friendly and caring staff, great atmosphere, I saw a sincere desire to care for and guide students in the cosmetology school as they gave them hands on learning, and have been going there for 3 years and won’t go anywhere else! Dylan is the best hair stylist and did wonders for my cut and color. I highly recommend!!!

People there were very nice! You do have a bit of a wait because they dont have alot of people giving services. Place is beautiful and relaxing. Hard to see from the road.

I went to this place for two years and I am not one to write a negative review- especially over a small business- but the way that they treat their customers is just so beyond ridiculous and rude. I had three experiences where the nails chipped or fell off within only a couple days of getting them done (but I kept going back and giving them a chance) and with a full-time job I was rather annoyed that I kept having to have a giant argument to even have an appointment made. I finally show up to my appointment and they gave it away because they wrote the wrong time down, then make me wait over an hour to fix one nail (didn’t even end up getting fixed). After asking for a refund so that I can go find a nail place that will accommodate me and fix the problem, I get belittled and then have $20 cash thrown in my face. I’m just beyond disappointed will certainly will never be going back! Not worth the stress over nails- go somewhere else.

Got this for a friend for her birthday. Upon arriving they told her because it was a groupon voucher that she wasn’t going to get the “full experience” which is literally the opposite of what this Groupon offers. She never gets her nails done and it was supposed to be nice and relaxing. They didn’t massage her feet or legs. They just put her feet in water in what looks like a cheap pan you get from Walmart. They didn’t soak her hands or massage anything, they just sprayed stuff on her hands and went after her cuticles with cuticle clippers. I don’t even wanna know how the actual color turned out.Mind you I didn’t realize this was a school when this was purchased. Nowhere was it stated such and maybe I would have never purchased the voucher from them. I’m embarrassed to have gotten this as a gift. I will never recommend this place.

I went this last Friday for a Gel manicure and I received and amazing and professional service from Tory ! I love how the mani was done and how my nails look! Amazing 💅🏻💕

One of the most unprofessional places Ive ever been to. I came in for a gel manicure and blowout. He convinced me I needed a cut and highlights and proceeded to cut 6 inches of my hair off. I cried walking out. The color was also terrible and golden I wound up putting in lowlights from a box as soon as I got home. All of this took over 4 hours and I didnt even get a gel manicure - They had to stop in the middle and left glue on my hands. He also said he would honor the Groupon price and did not. He charged me $40 more. A girl came in as I was getting my hair done and had to wait almost 2 hours to be seen.

My husband purchased a Groupon I tried calling for a couple weeks to set an appointment as it said was necessary per Groupon. Finally I decide to go in sat in the front lobby for 10 minutes before somebody came out asking if I had an appointment I told her I had a Groupon and I was trying to set an appointment and that I’ve been trying to call in which she responded no. I asked no what can I make an appointment or not. She throws up her hand to dismiss me and tells me to hold on. I then called and told my husband to get his money back for the Groupon as I walked out. Just based off of the experience to even set an appointment Iwouldn’t let them touch me for service. s

Went for the first time and it was a great experience. My color in my hair by Donna is she is the best hands down. The staff is very friendly and professional. They treat you like family and the atmosphere is great! They have a nail/hair salon and a school academy for someone looking to get into the industry. I HIGHLY recommend Total Nails and Hair Academy.

This was my 1st time but it wont be my last time great experience I received a pedicure she was on point I truly loved the experience. Such a beautiful atmosphere and my feet look amazing.

Only in town for 2 days and called at 10am, got me in at 11am with Donna. She’s not a student but was 8 years ago; and it was a little more $ then I had planned but she was amazing and my hair was way better then expecting. I was more than satisfied and if I ever come back I will def call her. 10 out of 10 recommend.

The best school ever! I am so glad that I choose Total Nails and Hair Academy for my training. The friendly family like atmosphere made me feel at ease all the time. This was the worst experience ever. I’ve been to schools before for service but nothing like this. First it was small and dirty. You could see hair and dust sitting in the window. I should have walked out then but I had already bought the Groupon and decided to see. One of the instructors sat and talked to me about my hair. I was deciding to go back to a dark color. He said to the student, let’s go see what colors we can use for her. Expecting them to return with the color book, instead he just returned with color. Fast forward to my hair cut, not once did he ask what I wanted, how much to cut off, he just started cutting. I lost at least 5 inches off my hair and the cut is horrible: it’s uneven and I have super think hair and the cut made it even thicker in areas. Now to the “teaching” the only thing the student did was wash my hair and dry it. I heard him say to her “DO NOT EVER DO THAT” or he would rip tools aways from her and toss them. He was so aggressive with her I am not sure how she will ever learn. He had her watch him do things but then say “don’t do it this way as I have years of experience”. As I was being finished I saw him doing highlights on another client and there were big clumps of bleach on her hair on hair he wasn’t highlighting. Oh and the entire back of my shirt was covered with hair dye, he said he got a “little” on my shirt. That wasn’t a little. I also had it on my skin on my arm. My hair was no where near the color we “discussed” and now the hair I have worked to grow is gone. I get it was damaged from bleach but it was an inch at best.

Donna was wonderful and helped me decide what was best for my hair. I usually walk out of salons unsatisfied but I will definitely be going back! Ty-Mary W.

Probably one of the best (Training School) Salons that I have had the pleasure of being served. I had my hair done on several occasions by Vanessa, Jessica and also Charlotte. They specialize in Ethnic, Black and Caucasian Hair. What an experience. They were pleasant and accommodating. It was a great experience! I recommend this School to anyone!

The instructors bring to this field a family like atmosphere not only for the students but for anyone that walk in for a visit. The learning procedures are intricate and individualized to ensure the process is thought to the fullest. The professional experience they give to customers shows the passion of this academy.

My hair appointment was at 12:30 and I arrived at 12:15. I did not even get into the chair until 1:35. It then took 3 hours for a highlight and cut. I had a groupon for for shampoo deep condition highlight cut blow out and style. My hair turned out too golden and when I mention it she said it was the light in the shop. Furthermore, more I critiqued the cut and said how I wanted it it differnt she got defensive and said I was verbatim over thinking it. Maybe she was just stressed out because her son was running around the shop for 2 hours. Either way I dont like the color or cut. Its close to what i asked for but to golden and the cur is way to blunt and bottom heavy. I am def not satisfied and not going to return. I would rather pay more for exactly what i want in a timely manner in the future. Its true what they say you get what you pay for.

Found via Groupon, but man I wish Id found this place sooner! Good vibes and talented staff, who are truly passionate. Sue gave me a lovely cut, we had such a great chat and Ill definitely be seeing her for Thai massage in the near future. Thank you all!

I thought I would give this a try. Wont do it again. The trainee was a great girl and did a great job preparing my feet for my well needed pedicure. Her teacher, Miss M. seemed to be distracted by events happening . She applied the nail polish. I mentioned that I had a toe that crossed over my big toe. She put a thin piece of gauze between them and painted my toenails with my sandals on. She poked some polish on my baby toes. When I got home I had polish on my baby toes not the nails, gauze stuck in my big toe which when removed took most of the polish and many other toes were not completely covered with polish. What a disappointment and waste of money for me.

I have been getting gel done for years at other salons and I gave this place a try because of a Groupon and let me tell you they have become my new go to salon! Omg I have never had such a well done gel manicure! They are a school so they take their time which I loved because nowadays you go to a salon and they are in such a rush and do such sloppy or rushed job. These students take their time and it is so worth it such a good job!

I love groupon because it gives me the opportunity to try out places at a discount. The pedicure was ok. Nothing special. Did hurt my toes while cleaning and prepping. But the advertised price discounted on groupon was $45- discount $21.50. However at the salon the regular price is only $25. Hmm.. isnt that false advertising? I thought it must be a pretty high end academy if a regular pedi was $45 but bare necessities; no massage chair, no jet foot baths, limited polish selection, messy looking, and I was sweating. So will this be a groupon that Im glad I tried? Well, yes but because I wont return. Sorry!

I never complain but its been a couple weeks and I cant even look in the mirror at my hair that was done by a teacher not a student. I think I wouldve rather had a student do it everyone I saw said who messed up your hair my hair is ruined Im so disappointed i would not recommend going here at all.
