My daughter started attending pre-school at DOL CDC during COVID, and it was such a blessing. The staff is extremely professional and responsive to parent concerns and her teachers have been phenomenal at responding her to particular learning needs. Well be very sad to leave when she starts school in the fall.

This daycare is open again as of Mar 1, 2021! HUGE outdoor playground area - best in the area. Loyal and dedicated teachers (many have been at this location for years). Best prices of all the KinderCares in DC without a waitlist for infants (and maybe other groups) that I’m aware of at the time of this review.

My child has been at this daycare for about six months in two different classes (he aged up). All of the teachers weve interacted with have been excellent. They take wonderful care of the children, seem excited to be doing their work and are thoughtful and creative. The administrative staff are also excellent. They are always willing to help with whatever issue has arisen and are very good at communicating with families. Together the teachers and the administrators have helped us through potty training, a behavioral issue and my child beginning to recognize numbers and letters. They do a good job of balancing free play and some more structured play with learning goals. The center also has good food which my son eats almost all of every day.

My 3.5 yr old has been attending this day care for about six months now, and we are nothing but thrilled with this Center! My child has some special needs that her teachers have been very accommodating and willing to learn about these needs. They also maintain great communication with us. I love the daily pictures and reports uploaded on the parent app. Her social skills have grown more in this six months than in the two years at her previous day care. She’s also learning so much that I feel she’s getting a good preschool education to set her up for success when it’s time for kindergarten. She loves going to school and literally runs to her class everyday, which I sadly can not say about her previous day care center. We truly wish we would have enrolled her here sooner! I HIGHLY recommend this facility for many reasons to include phenomenal care, curriculum, and a great value for this area!

We love our daycare. My daughter has been in the infant class for about 5 months. She loves her teachers and I can see how much she is learning from them, which makes it so much easier to leave her for the day. Im able to walk in anytime and I chat with her teachers daily. We are very fortunate to have them on our team!

There are not enough great things that can be said about the Child Development Center. Extremely thorough and reliable teachers and staff that were able to remove any doubt or concern we had for our daughter fitting in and excelling. The incorporation of the Tadpoles app also provides real time updates on your childs daily activities so you never have to worry about how their day is going. The dietary options are exactly what children need and this school deserves recognition.I would highly recommend them!

The care at the Department of Labor daycare center has been top notch! We have had two children enrolled there for the past six years. All the teachers know their names, have smiles on their faces, and make you feel at home. They care for your children, teach them, love them, and it shows! We highly recommend this center for your children.

My daughter recently joined the DOL Child Development Center. She is excited to go to her class everyday. The teachers are excellent and make us feel at ease with leaving her in their care. The children have endless activities throughout the day which is wonderful. I especially enjoy the built-in food program and diaper/baby wipe program - the less I have to worry about the better. There is also an app (Tadpoles) that teachers use to post pictures throughout the day, document what the child ate and how much of it, diaper changes, potty, how long child napped, etc. I would recommend this Child Care Center to any parent!

All three of my children have attended this daycare. My children are genuinely happy to go to school every day. The teachers are attentive and creative, and also have a great sense of humor The structured curriculum allows the children to gain exposure to different areas of knowledge and life skills, and the teachers monitor each childs development in the classroom to better inform parents about how we can reinforce the lessons and skills being taught. The school also provides optional extracurricular activities, and my kids have also enjoyed taking part in these classes such as ballet and karate. The administrative staff go to great lengths to communicate effectively with parents and keep us informed on all the school news.

Our son entered the care of Nobel Academy in January 2018. As first-time parents we were hesitant to leave our first born under the care of others. However, the staff at Nobel Academy has consistently provided a level of care and compassion that has put us at ease. Every morning and afternoon we are greeted by name with smiles and kind words. Before we enrolled our son into the academy he was very shy and lacked social skills. After the first month we have noticed major improvements. He is now able to present in front of the class. He has also made friends with his classmates. Through the Tadpole application we are updated throughout the day with photos of our son performing different activities. In the afternoon when we pick up our son he is excited to recount the activities he has performed. I would recommend Nobel Academy to all parents.

We have had such a wonderful experience at this school. Our son has been a student since he was 4 months old and has developed so much based on their great care and teaching abilities. Our daughter has been at the Nobel Learning Center at DOL since the fall. She’s had an amazing experience and continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Her teachers are exceptional and show great care with all their students. The center is well run and provides an extremely rich learning environment for all its students from babies to older kids. We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to attend this center.

We love having our daughter at the DOL Child Development Center. The teachers are caring, kind, and engaged. The school has a curriculum they follow, even for the infant classes. The faculty provides parent-teacher conferences four times a year, but they also have an open door policy, so you can visit your child any time you want.My two year old daughter just started with her third class in the school. She loves seeing her former teachers, and she is happy when we drop her off in her current classroom. I also love that they provide breakfast, snack, and lunch (with a menu, and options for kids with allergies), and that the children and teachers all eat together at tables, family-style. My daughter hugs her classmates when we arrive and before she leaves. She also talks about her classmates and teachers when we are at home. We cant say enough positive things about how much we love this school, and what a comfort it provides for us as first-time parents.

Our daughter has been at this child care center since she was 3 months old, and her little sister will start there this fall. We have been very grateful for the quality of care she has received from some truly amazing teachers! All of our daughters teachers have clearly loved the kids they care for, and we have been thrilled to see the many new skills our daughter has learned through the Center. We would highly recommend this school.

Between the two of them, our daughters have been through every level of the Center and have really enjoyed their time there. Theyve made friends and learned so much from the wonderful, invested, caring teachers and staff. Our older daughter was well-prepared by the Centers curriculum for her graduation to public school. In general, we love the Center’s engaging, cooperative, respectful environment.

My former infant / now toddler has been at the center for two years. I have always felt that he is in good care there and that all of his teachers have been there for him. On many occasions they have gone the extra mile. He has been a part of three classes in his time there so far and it has really been an enriching experience for him.

The director there is a very nasty person I would never send my child there or work there ever in life as long as she’s there. The turnover rate is so high there, teachers leaving. The work environment is chaotic. She wants you there even if you’re close to dying. If u have family emergencies if someone died she don’t care it’s an inconvenience for her

My daughter has been attending this child care center since our family moved to the DC area last summer and she loves it. The providers care about the children as if theyre their own, and have helped guide my childs social/emotional development far beyond what one would expect from a child care provider.

Our 2 year old has been at the DOL Child Development Center for the past nine months and weve been so happy there! He loves going to school so much that he often asks to go on the weekends. Without any prompting he often says I had fun today mommy! The teachers are very caring and engaged, and always coming up with creative learning activities for the kids. We take advantage of the extra optional activities you can sign up for, like Spanish, science and soccer, which our son loves. I really appreciate that he has the opportunity to have such enriching experiences at such a young age! I would highly recommend DOL to any family looking for high quality child care!

Finding a good Day Care for your child in the DC area has to rank up there with one of the more stressful life decisions. Luckily, we discovered the Child Development Center at the Department of Labor! Walking in the doors is like a warm embrace where the teachers are fully vested in your children and their development. Im constantly amazed at the ability of the teachers to impart knowledge and life skills in fun and engaging ways. One exciting feature of the Center is that they send you photos and a daily report each day (through e-mail or accessible on an app) so you can see all the things your child has been doing. Last week my 18 month old son was learning about how bugs move and I got a picture of him crawling and then pretending to fly. My other son has moved on to DCPS and the firm foundation that was built at DOL was evident in terms of his letter and number recognition and social skills. What a relief it is to know that while Im at work my kids have been in such good hands!

This is a great center that assist children in becoming independent. My child spent her first 3 uears with a home provider and even though it was nice and loving it did not help to prepare her for kindergarten or her social skills. Since moving to DOL she has made several friends; has learned to write her name on her own; and has begun to expand her independence.

My two older kids began at DOL CDC when they were infants (3 and 5 yrs now) and my infant is starting there in a couple weeks. I cant say enough great things about this center and its amazing staff and teachers. They are truly amazing and we feel so grateful for all the love and support they have given our children (and us parents) over the years. They also have an impressive curriculum and a great way they evaluate our children to ensure that theyre continuously learning, growing, and hitting milestones. Lastly, they also have a summer camp for 5 - 12 year olds so my oldest will be able to return for a fun filled summer. We are thrilled to have all three of our children at DOL this summer!

My daughter and I could not be happier with a day care center than we are with the Child Development Center at the DOL. We have been a part of the DOL CDC family since she was 5 months old. She is about to turn 4, and I credit the CDC with igniting a love of learning in her. In addition to a regular (excellent) curriculum, she takes enrichment classes through the week - karate, ballet and tap, and tumbling. The school also offers soccer, music and movement and STEM classes as enrichments. The school and teachers have helped with other aspects of her development, such as separation anxiety, potty training, table manners, learning to share, and how to be a good friend. She loves her teachers and friends in the school, and it seems all the teachers and administrative staff make it a point to know all the students. I feel that that when she graduates to regular school in a bit more than a year and a half, she will be ready to take on Kindergarten, and the rest of her educational career, because of the background she has received at the Department of Labor.

My husband and I have had our three-year old at the DOL Daycare since she was five months old and have loved her teachers, starting in the infant room (Ms. Kita), continuing in the toddler room (Ms. Tasha), the beginner room (Ms. Paula) and now in pre-K. Her teachers, Ms. Michele and Ms. Michelynn, are constantly engaged with the children from reading, music, geography, and science lessons to dance parties and pilates. The administrators, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Kia, and Ms. Kassie, are cheerful and responsive and helpful and communicative. Im always impressed because the teachers and staff know my daughters name - even those teachers who havent had her in class. I would recommend the DOL Daycare to anyone who is looking for a quality and compassionate daycare/pre-K.

The DOL daycare has taken excellent care of my 4-year-old child since he was 5 months old. At DOL he has learned to use a potty, eat with utensils, read, write, count, use his fine and gross motor skills, clean up after himself, and to control his emotions. Throughout his time there, he has formed loving bonds with his teachers and classmates, and had a lot of fun, too. He has also enjoyed a wide variety of enrichments including tumbling, soccer, karate, science and Spanish. Breakfast and lunch are cooked fresh everyday and the menu has exposed my son to a wide variety of healthy foods. The playground is large with age-appropriate areas as well as a covered patio where the kids can play even in inclement weather. The staff is responsive and communicative. I cant say enough good things. Everywhere I take my child, I get comments on how mature he is and how smart he is and I owe so much of that to DOL.
