This place was a life saver as far as getting a road test scheduled for my daughter. We were finding it virtually impossible to schedule one online directly with the rmv. The fact that we had a test scheduled with minimal effort on our part in just a few weeks was great. John did a great job and the price we paid for a Saturday test was comparable to other schools we had checked out. Our daughter didnt even take drivers ed thru this school and John still sponsored her and arranged everything. She passed with flying colors and we now have one very happy teenage driver. Great, great just great!!I loved how welcoming and knowledgeable they are this school. They know exactly what they are doing. Also their customer service is exceptional.

The school is ran by one guy who clearly doesnt know what hes doing and never gets back to people in a timely manner. His scheduling system for lessons is a total mess and very disorganized. The dude cant even hire at least a few other people to take phone calls and deal with customers and he definitely has the money to pay people but chooses not to do it. Most of the time you have to wait weeks or even months to get driving hours. Overall - steer clear of this school as it is not worth the money. Absolutely atrocious business thats being run here.

Went to an appointment scheduled for over a week and the instructor was half an hour late and I had to reschedule as I had a prior engagement. I WAS NOT GIVEN ANY INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL. I had to have an emergency cancellation they charged me because it wasnt 24 hour notice. If my first lesson was on time I wouldnt have had to make another appointment to lose the money. Do not recommend.

AVOID THIS SCHOOL IF YOU CAN. Paid for road test sponsorship & practice exam package. My sponsor picked me up late. The car I drove to the RMV in is not the same car I drove for my test. The sponsor switched out the car I drove to the RMV in (for my 530AM practice exam; test at 7AM) for a different car (one I had not driven prior to test) last minute due to his employee showing up late for another customer. The other customer then drove the aforementioned vehicle for their road test, the same vehicle we both drove for our practice exams that morning. We did not go over every step, as advertised, on the website - parking on a hill, 3 point turn, parallel parking, etc. Additionally, this individual does not pick up the phone (full mailbox, cannot leave a message) nor do they respond to email communication past their response to ask for a pdf photo of your permit to send to the RMV. All in all, you will absolutely want to take your business elsewhere. This school will hinder you before it will help you.0/5 stars

Dont bother booking with them. I bought a package of 10 hours a while back and I was only able to use 2 of those hours on a lesson. After that, they never responded to any of my phone calls or emails. If I could give zero stars, I would. I have my doubts that all these positive reviews are real.

I wish google has 0 star review tab or report business tab so that I might have selected that. I had absolutely worst experience dealing with this school, I am might not sure if this is because of pandemic or just is how they are deal with their customer and students. I made online 6 hours lesson booking back in Jan 2020 and then I tried reaching out to them to schedule lessons but I got reply that call us, last year I tried calling them several times before pandemic hits and response was very poor.After pandemic when everything started opening back I called them again pretty much every week, no one respond till Sep and I requested them refund which they assure to process but since Sep 2020 I am trying to get hang of someone from there office but they dont reply emails neither phone calls (well there voice mail is always full so you cant even leave them a message). At this point I am so frustrated that I am going to report them to CfBp and BBB. T

This is one of the place which actually delivers 100% quality to the students. I was so scared at first because I earlier enrolled myself in another driving school and failed miserably there. But this place is just amazing!

Absolute scam of a business. You pay online for the lessons that you want to choose but then the owner will never reach out back to you. I tried calling him and instead of giving any answer, he said he is busy and hang up. After that I was unable to reach him at all, it would always go to voicemail. To get my money back I had to file a claim with my bank. Horrible customer service, I am shocked that this type of scam is still in business.

In my 10 days of driving class, I did not get the lessons on parallel parking and I remember you teach me 3 point in my last day of class and when you go for road test they start straight with parallel parking, if you offer a complete package please make sure you include everything.

I was in johns driving ed class and he made the class so much fun we all got our work done but had an amazing time doing it he was an amazing teacher and me and all the other students loved him.

I took the weekend driving test through Boston Driver’s Ed, the booking process and pre-test communication was seamless. After passing the driving test and through no fault of Boston Driver’s Ed, my license information was not updated at the RMV. I tried contacting the RMV multiple times, and reached-out to John for advice. John answered my every call, and went out of his way to help sort the issues with my profile.They went above and beyond to help me out.I highly recommend Boston’s Driver’s Ed.

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS SCHOOL. Terrible service and little communication with customers.I scheduled for a road test and the driving school did not confirm until 2 days before the road test, and worse that the date of the road test was changed to one day later. Then I scheduled for a lesson at 11am. The school texted me only 3 HOURS before the lesson, and gave the lesson to someone else for that I replied the text at 30 minutes before the lesson. Furthermore, their altitude is terrible, blaming me for not replying the text on time.If you are looking to just take some lessons or schedule for a road test, there are way better choices out there.

John has literally gone above and beyond to teach my son driving skills for a life time. He is very busy. (Imagine driving for hours on end with teens). So....if you call him and he does not answer you he is teaching kids. He is also a VET which I am proud my son got to know him. My son has taught me to Parallel park better. Ha Thanks John

Today I have passed from a road test because John is the best teacher I have ever seen. After 90min lessons I learned how to park paralel parking properly!

There was so much wrong with my experience with this place.- During classroom hours, the teacher would regularly go on completely irrelevant tangents and relied on YouTube videos (that I could watch on my own time for free) to do the teaching for him that were mostly about the dangers of drunk driving and didnt include any other pertinent rules of the road. I can very confidently say that I learned nothing during those 30 hours (we were frequently let out up to 2 hours early).- During the driving hour I did complete here (which was my first time ever behind the wheel), they essentially threw me right into the deep end and treated me the same as someone who was almost done with their requirements. He didnt explain any of the basics-- turn signals, how to turn, how to pull over, three-point turns, nothing-- and had me drive in the middle of main street traffic across three towns despite my protests.- You frequently have to sign up 1 and half to 2 months in advance to secure even just ONE driving hour.- All of their driving hours were from 9-3 weekdays, which is all fine and dandy for the summer, but its completely useless during the school year. Why offer only daytime weekday lessons when 90% of your clientele is high school students?- When I contacted John seven whole months before my permit expired in September to explain my situation with not being able to get any driving hours, he criticized me for not signing up for any sooner in spite of my explaining that I couldnt do them during the school year (for reason said above) or during that summer due to a drawn-out, unexpected death in my family. He then said that he could arrange for an instructor to teach me lessons on Sundays but that it would be an extra $500 on top of the $600 I had already paid for the whole driving school package that was supposed to include my 12 driving and 6 observation hours.After that, I said no thanks and switched to Belmont Driving School. This place is a complete waste of your time and money; find somewhere else and youre pretty much guaranteed to have a better experience.

I had a refresher lesson with Zelito ahead of my road test. He was completely aware of what areas someone like me, an adult whod been driving abroad for years, would need to focus on in order to pass the test. Efficient, knowledgeable, and overall a great experience. Thanks!

Please don’t go to these guys, I booked to take my drivers test and they refused to respond to me for almost two months . I’m actually going to sue in-order for them to refund my money. I couldn’t go because I had emergencies, even if it doesn’t mention it anywhere on their website that you can’t get a refund even if you can’t go. They still have refused to respond to me. They are inhumane.

After having nightmare experiences with a handful of other driving schools in the area, I took one lesson with John and passed the road test on my first try that very same weekend! He is professional, friendly and I highly recommend taking your road test with this school.

My daughter completed her driving class through a different driving school, but hadnt started her driving. I came to Boston Driving School after Covid because the wait through this other school was long.... and John was immediately able to get her in with driving lessons. We finished in July. I took the parent class via John and he let me know that all that was needed was for this other school to submit that my daughter had taken the class. Two months later- after numerous calls, emails, and rude conversations with this other school (starts with a C) John went above and beyond to help me get my daughter the ability to take the test. He called the other driving school (starts with a C) and of course they did not answer. He called and emailed the DMV on behalf of my daughter. He put up with my lengthy texts and phone calls. And never once complained- even if he should have, lol. John was also considerate and conscientious of our situation and he promised to fix it. And he did. I HIGHLY recommend this driving school. Once my next child needs to take the class and driving lessons there will be no hesitation with whom I will choose. Do not pick one of the driving schools that are visible on every corner as you drive around- they will not do what this man did for me and my daughter. I am forever grateful for having met him and using his amazing driving school.

If I could put ZERO STARS I WOULD! ITS A SCAM, they scheduled my road test somewhere else that isn’t connected to Boston drivers Ed, I paid $138 for my road test through Boston Drivers Ed and still had to pay $100 when I got to a different driving school all the way in Norwood. I tried getting my money back and I still haven’t received a response I had to call my bank so they could refund my money. Not to mention when I went to a driving school in Norwood that has no connection to Boston Drivers Ed, apparently the sponsors nor the state police never heard of the place .

John gave some really useful tips for driving, especially parallel parking. Scheduling through phone is a bit tricky sometimes because he’s giving lessons so had to try calling a bit but I got called back and everything was fine. John and the others were very patience and friendly. I passed my road test today. So thank you guys very much!

I went for my road test yesterday and John was a true gem. He was patient and made me feel at ease during my test. I made two mistakes during my test but I was able to still pass. It was definitely meant for me to go through him. I practiced an hour before the test with him. He teaches you tricks that no other school has taught me and I went to two different driving schools prior to signing up with his school. Thank you John for everything your the best.

John was an incredibly patient, welcoming and kind instructor, who immediately put me at ease. He has a rare combination of both the technical and teaching skills to effectively train others, as well as the personality and empathy to make that training fun and relaxing. His parallel parking technique is also incredibly helpful!Knowing that I had his seal of appproval made me much more confident to take my test, which was significantly easier to arrange through him than on my own. Passed my road test today on second try. John is a very knowledgeable, kind and fun teacher. He has an excellent parallel parking technique that works on almost all tries. Lisa, the secretary, is very great and accommodating too. Due to their Bestity as a school, it is quite hard to schedule lessons last minute so if you want to take a few lessons to prepare for your road test, schedule them early.

I actually really like this driving school. I’ve heard a lot of negatives, but I see nothing wrong with this place. It’s a comfortable warm environment of learning and a no-judgement zone. I’ve known how to drive for a while now, but coming here for lessons really helps to shine light on what they will be looking for on the test, and they gave me the tools to make me a better driver. John is a great teacher. He owns the school, and I got lucky that he ended up teaching me that day as my instructor went on leave. He taught me to parallel park in 5 minutes. He was fun, encouraged me a lot and trained me precisely in areas that I was lacking while letting me know what I did well. At the end of the two hours, he said I dont need any more classes- which was refreshing, he didnt try to sell more classes to me.

I walked out of Boston Drivers Ed with everything I needed to know to safely get behind the wheel, and had a good time learning.John Baez is an instructor who can keep his students engaged and entertained, while still providing the information they need. Never a dull moment in the class, I had plenty of fun without sacrificing the learning component of the class.I will absolutely be recommending the school to my friends, and cant wait to return in a couple of weeks for my driving lessons.

Ive tried a couple of other schools in Boston and in my opinion, this the only school you want to call if you dont have time and money to waste. Very disappointed!! Same problem as mentioned inother 1 star review! I should have searched on Yelp first.After my first phone call, I purchased the road test sponsorship+2hr driving lesson package and additional 2 hr driving lesson through website as John told me to. He told me that he need to use the confirmation number to schedule my lessons. He also said he would email me the schedule by email after my purchase. However, I still have not received any email yet.On the second day, I called him again and he told me he was driving and would call me back in 10-15 mins. I waited for hours and I called him again and he didnt answer my call. I sent email again and never got any responses.I called many times today and not a single call was answered.

John helped me with scheduling and preparing for the Saturday road test, hes an amazing instructor. The 2 hour lesson with him was instrumental in passing the test, the actual test was just the way he described and the parallel parking technique was simple & effective. All instructors of this driving school are very friendly and they teach you how to parallel park your car with easy technique. Road test sponsorship by this driving school is also very convenient and cheaper than other places. Besides John who owns the driving school has 90% passing rate which is very impressive! I took my road test with John and hes an awesome instructor. I took a 1.5 hours lesson right before my road test and it was enough for me to pass it. (Mind you, I had driven before so 1.5 hours lesson was basically to get me used to the roads and learn Parallel parking, 3 point turn and hand signals. So please if you havent driven before take more than 2 hours lesson). Overall my experience with them was good and will definitely recommend them.

Paid for 10 hours of driving. After two, the instructor said that he would call me to set up the dates for the rest. I never received any call and left several messages with the school over the next two weeks. They never got back to me, not even when I declined the charge on my credit card after I decided that enough was enough.

The teachers here are amazing! From parallel parking to providing you with the confidence to pass your road test, they do everything. I learned at another school plus took the test twice with them and failed both times. But it took me just one two hour lesson with these guys to pass the test. John and his team are great!

I signed my daughter up for this class. I do believe it was straight forward unfortunately the timing of class was not on point. 9-3 were scheduled with a lunch. I’d drop my daughter back at 12:15 and at 1 she’d be calling for a ride home.But, that is nothing compared to them not showing up for their scheduled drives. If I cancelled with less than 24 hours I would get charged $90 fee. Well this company should be paying me for 3 “no show, no call”. When I confronted John via phone he told me that he was uncertain of anything going on because he had just gotten out of the hospital. Come to find out that was not an honest answer. I emailed him expressing how unhappy I was he never responded.The day of road test which he will most likely book in Braintree he forgot all the paperwork and had to do an hour and half round trip to go get it! Again who and why am I paying?!Sadly bad news usually spreads like wild fire. I’d look into other options even if this place is convenient for you.

The instructors are really good and friendly but getting a schedule with these guys is very difficult. if you have a months time and can have your sessions on weekdays, you can get a slot. Special thanks to Jose for teaching the parallel parking in an easier way. Definitely addressing the customer call needs to be improved.

I tried to contact John hundred times to schedule me one driving lesson and the road test, most of the time he didnt respond me or the office were closed or respond to my email after 5-6 days. Today, after one month and half, I received the message that they scheduled the road test for Saturday at 7am in Braintree and I live in Watertown... Also I asked him hundred times that I need driving lesson before the road test so I refused to take the road test. Now I don’t know if I have to pay something... And he didn’t call me back to explain me better.I don’t know how he can manage this driving school. The only thing I know is TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL.

The service wasnt perfect but overall it was great. The instructors were helpful for the most part. Price is awesome and JOHN IS THE BEST!

This was an amazing experience. As an adult driver and very anxious about being on the road, John was the best teacher I could have asked for. I read a lot of reviews before going with this school and Im so glad I chose this one. The parallel parking video was the clincher for me.John was so calm and patient. The very first question he asked when I got in the car was, what are you most nervous about? He asked questions to better understand and assuage my fears. I cant tell you what that meant to me.He walked me through every move before I did it. He observed closely and tweaked my maneuvers when they were off. The repetition was incredibly helpful. As were the bits no one else had thought to mention, like where to keep my eye level when driving. Made all the difference in the world.In reviews of other schools there seemed to be a lot of complaints about instructors yelling and shaming students. I got none of this from John. He always gently called my attention to mistakes, answered all my questions and clarified what I didnt understand. He was extremely dedicated and noticed from week to week how I had improved.I passed my test on the first try and received a big smile and a handshake from John. Honestly felt like he was genuinely happy and proud of me.The examiner in Braintree was fantastic as well. Mim did wonders setting me at ease. Nerves are always high when taking a test but she was as kind and relaxed as could be. It made a huge difference.I would absolutely recommend this school.

This class was well prepared and fun from day one. I learned more than just the basic driving, but life skills that will help me forever. The service was great. All of the teachers and instructors were the best.

Very cozy place. I wouldve paid double for the amount of carefully, and by case instruction I recieved. No egos, friendly staff that just want to see you on the road. My instructor Jose made the experience truly delight with his style of coaching and instructing.

Really good office staff, they were friendly with working out some registration issues for me. Also, the instructors are usually funny guys, and the test was super relaxed. After trying the alternatives, I would recommend this school over others!

We did not take any classes with them. We met them at the road test. They gave us several tips to pass the exam. It was very helpful. And we passed. Very nice people, we recommend them.
