I work for boys and girls club for 10 yrs. I always enjoy seeing the smiles on the kiddos faces when they attended club. My son attended club and he loves it. I highly recommend this place to any families. Great staff and awesome activities.

So far really good! The staff, well they had to of hand picked each one, they are absolutely the most wonderful staff I have ever seen. They are upbeat, energetic and patient with the children ..Now the woman that runs the place, even better they truly have found the perfect staff Ive ever seen for kids. Great job OK Boys & Girls Club.

Boys and girls club is the absolute best place you could ever take your kids! All staff are excellent and very respectful! I recommend taking your kids here and they are bound to love it!

Today my child was bullied and called names and the other kid brought other kids to make fun of her and laugh in her face. She was crying and asked to call her dad and the lady told her no and she had to sit in the office and talk about it. When she got picked up they did not talk about the situation and when I called to talk about why I was sent to voicemail and the lady that answered the phone gave me attitude about it already being taken care of. I want my child to feel safe in the environment I take them to when I go to work and in this environment they did not feel safe and couldn’t even call there parents. They didn’t handle the other child that was did this and my children will no longer Attend this program that’s supposed to be a good place for children.

Had some rough patches in the beginning but everything is a lot better now good stuff and they take good care of my Medically fragile granddaughter really well

The only thing good about this place is some of the staff. The kids here are evil and rude. I hated going here, so please never send your kids here. Theyll get bullied. I cant explain how terrible this place was.

My son loves it! And I grew up at the one in N. Port before it was a girls and Boys club kinda feel like it was girls like me that pioneered the way for girls today cause my friends and I really faught hard to stay when they said we couldnt stay? We did anyway and said were not leaving its not fair just cause we r girls and a councillor there stood up and faught with us for the right to stay so we could get a card and be official members as the first girls at this location on Emerson st in N. Portland Oregon

So this is been the place I love and I miss it today was the last day of club i have done good bonding with staff and its been amazing knowing what they can do to change kids lifes I cant wait for next year

This is literally the worst place you could possibly take your kids. The adults and leaders there are so rude to the kids, they dont pay attention, they will let other kids beat up and bully others and do nothing about it. They are completely understaffed or just dont care enough to focus their attention on the kids like they are supposed too. I understand summer is a hard and packed time, but that is YOUR JOB to be there and be there for our kids when we arent, YOU LITERALLY GET PAID TO BE THERE. How much you make or how bad you feel about going to work is not those kids fault. I cant believe the amount of disrespect the lady at the front deck has for not only children, but the parents of the children. The director is a nasty person. They need new leadership by someone who cares, or just has common sense about the basics of being a parent, being responsible or taking care of children. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO THIS CLUB.

This place has really gone down hill this year. The staff is rude, no matter how friendly you are, they keep changing field trip sign up days. My daughter tells me about how the staff barely pays attention even when kids are out of control and sometimes violent. This used to be a really great program, we never had problems or complaints but something has changed this year for the worse. Were going with a different summer program next year.

I took my son to the Vancouver Boys & Girls Club, OK campus where it was not for him AT ALL, doh, hes Autistic! While we went outside with most of the children to play on the Bagley park playground equipment a little boys leg got stuck under the space between the metal bars and the wooden bottom. The staff wanted no one to call 911, said they had it under control, as this poor little boy was suffering-I could tell he was in enormous pain as he kept grabbing his head. As they tried pulling it out it bled, also his knee was the size of a baseball. OK, I could not take it any longer as he had been there for AT LEAST thirty minutes, so, I called 911 yay ! The wonderful paramedics came and got him out in two minutes. Everyone clapped ! The staff member who was taking care of him, really? could not even carry him back to the office which was quite a ways for him to walk on his hurt leg. And, the director scolded me for being involved with the situation.
