This school used to be so lovely but now its just total chaos. Ive suffered many mental problems from this school because of how theres no friendship and the teachers act non-professional and scream at us when we make a simple mistake. If youd like to put your child here Id recommend Mrs. Haro for Kindergarten. (She was the loveliest teacher ever.) There should be more communication skills instead of literally sending a child out for having a mental breakdown in class. Some adults are bullies too.

Today I had sort of on the lines of a mental breakdown and I was told to be sent outside. I feel like there should be more communication with the scholar if something like that is happening. Outside, we were always yelled and scolded at, and I hope Leman changes like the school it used to be. The school used to be so nice but now its like they dont know what theyre doing. Needs to get their professionalism and communication skills back or else youre gonna lose people. Dont force stuff on others if they dont wanna do it. I hid in the bathroom for HALF AN HOUR once because I was so scared. Everyone accuses the bigger person on everything. Why did I stay up to write this? I dunno. I edited this in a more understandable way I guess? Everyone basically hated our class and there mightve been some words from the teachers. Falsely accused of everything, blamed, etc. Well the kids that go are nice at least. Just be careful of bullies. There are bullies, sometimes. Theyre bad.-Former student.

Although this school may work for families with typical children who have no trauma background, it is not set up to handle any children who are of the box (gifted or special needs, adopted, etc.) and stresses discipline vs compassion. My daughter became extremely depressed after only 3 months at this school and taking her out was the best thing we ever did. When she expressed her feelings to the leadership of the school that she didnt feel accepted there, the response given was then why are you here? Why dont you tell your parents to take you somewhere else? Well, guess what? We did!

Great communication between teachers and parents. All three of my children have gone to school here. Leman academy also is a huge part/contribute to the Tucson community. Thank you for all that you do to build on the next generations.

This school has been an enormous blessing to my family! The servant leadership helps mold the character of the students. There is an atmosphere of kindness and grace, as well as high expectation that drives each scholar to do their best. My children love school and are thriving here!

Super clean and nice. Well layed out. Playgrounds are awesome. Theyve been super accommodating and understanding. They have private tutoring sessions for kids who are struggling. They offer sports, gymnastics and karate for the older grades. Ill be taking my kids here as long as possible!

At the beginning of the year the school was running smoothly, very impressed with staff and administration. We are in March and my daughter has had 3 new teachers. The school has a great classical idea but things are falling a part quickly. Not much concern seems to be taken in to account for the scholars when deciding to let VERY good teachers go! This is a huge disappointment and puts families in a terrible position.

After reading almost every single book that Dr. Leman has ever written (self-professed fan club member right here), we decided to try the classical learning system for our youngest son who was perpetually bored in public school. I am absolutely thrilled with the teaching style and how my fourth grader has blossomed! Every single interaction thus far, be it operator error on my part logging into the online grade book or needing help with registration documents or even just correspondence with the teacher has been not only sucessful but also handled with patience and kindness from the staff! I Highly recommend this school and look forward to many more years as part of the Leman community!

My daughter is very happy at Leman. Shes finishing up 2nd grade. We love her teacher, her opportunities, and she tells me she learns new things every day and doesnt feel bored, like she did at her old school. She especially loves the science and history highlighted in her new curriculum.

The office staff can never help with anything. Ever. They are always rude. Whats the point of having people in the office if they cant do anything. Bullying at this school is ignored. Its all about the $. Fundraisers after fundraiser and begging for supplies, coffee, and money from parents. It was an amazing school the first couple years. Its turned into a horrible school.

My daughter has attended this school since the end of their opening year, and there are many things to love about this school. Bethany Papa John was the Principal then, and completely won me over with her kindness towards staff and scholars during my tour of the school. Dennis O’Reilly, Head of Schools, is great, too. Each teacher we have had (Mrs. Grunsfelder, Kirk, Walsh, Midgette) has contributed something great to my daughter’s life. The after school program and director Jennifer Zoellner is also great. Though my husband has done school pick up for the last two years, staff at After Bell still remember who my child is and call for her right when I walk in the door. Is the school perfect? No. Do I feel safe dropping off my daughter there everyday and believing that she will be loved, well-cared for, and well-educated? 100% yes.

The school submitted a report to CPS today without any prior talking to parents. The allegations made do not have any facts behind them. I hope that they do more of these reports so that more parents will stop trusting them the welfare of their kids. The head of schools Dennis OReilly refused to comment on this. He actually called the police when one of the parents just wanted to talk to him about what happened, accused that parent of trespassing, and banned him from entering school in the future!

Doesn’t really live up to the hype. Might as well save yourself the drive and put your kid in a closer school, because the experience isn’t much different here. There are a few gems, but nothing worth writing home about.
