Very pleased with the recent change of staff. The new director and assistant director (Jessica and Marcella) seem to understand what needs to be done to improve the day care. I see a lot of new improvements in the classrooms and I love it.

My daughter has been attending this daycare since she was 6 weeks old.She absolutely loves going to school as she puts it (she is 3 now). She always talks about her teachers at home. We are always greeted with a good morning and a good evening when we walk in and out. Yes there has been a lot of changes with the company and staff. During the changes there was a lot of shifts and waves but all in all they have been great to my daughter. My daughter has never been neglected or ignored in any way and when accidents happen I always get an explanation and an incident report. I love the current personnel and would highly recommend this day care.

We picked this daycare (when it was still called Mini Skool) because of its location and its staff. My child is very comfortable with the director and teachers. They are very friendly, caring and accommodating. I appreciate that they are not just trained to care but also teach. My child learns new things everyday with the activities. A couple of points for improvement/suggestions: 1. Teacher turnaround. Suggest to have a simple faculty board with name, picture and class of all the personnel so parents are up to date with staff changes. 2. Cleanliness, organization, communication between staff can be better. My child keeps changing classrooms so things have more tendency to get lost. Each child should have one designated place for things. There are instances where supplies (e.g. diapers, change of clothes) are requested from parents even when not yet needed due to not being to locate the childs belongings. Other than that, Im looking forward to the new administrations plans to put cameras on the facility and to put more organic items on the menu.

My kids and I were lied to, they made it seem like Miss Jessica the director was on vacation or off but in reality she was fired, reason given, gossiping. Really? For gossip? Apparently they dont allow free speech. Im giving 2 stars because they have good teachers otherwise it would be only 1 star for their policies. I hope management or owners will rethink their policies regarding this, I think its a huge loss when it comes to this.

This is the best daycare I tried in Tucson so far. And compare to the other ones, my daughter is very happy here and she is always talking about teachers and learned how to go bathroom by her own. And I can see how she is proud of herself when she shows at home the stuff she learned in her daycare. It is very clean inside and staff is very nice. I think if you looking for a safe and friendly place for your child, you should definitely look at El Presidio. The bad reviews I read here are more personal complains than general information. This daycare is a very good choice and my 2.5 years old daughter is getting ready for her school every morning with happiness

Not again! I learned today that they let the Director go, what is wrong with this business? From our experience she was dedicated caring and hard working, we just saw her a few weeks ago downtown at 2nd Saturdays promoting the business on her own time.

As part of a split family, with my kiddos dads son also attending, they were unable to apply discounts to the appropriate child. They cited the parent company policy of always applying a discount to the older child as the reason, which caused confusion regarding our financial arrangement. Also, they gave information to his other family and not to me (his birth mother) even after establishing that it was causing serious miscommunication regarding my sons behavior and preschool events. Much of this could have been avoided with regular email notifications.Overall, I wouldnt recommend it, but I do love the neighborhood.

7/28/2017 post from user on Facebook please be aware of this daycare.......I am sooooo upset I literally have not stopped crying all day and night, after much talking between me and Ricky we finally decided to put him into daycare while we work... after not even a week he comes home with a big nasty bruise right under his chin, his lip busted and a scratch above his eye.... we received no phone call and no incident report! And while we were there this morning Ricky heard a staff member telling a young kid to stop crying that if he doesnt want to be here then tell his parents to remove him from the place. I told them that I dont want him here any more and that I need them to go over all the footage and show me exactly when and where he fell and that whoever it is needs to be held accountable! So they had the nerve to say well we didnt see him fall and that there was nothing on camera, without letting us see it. We were told by 2 different staff members that bumps and bruises happen Um what?! Theres a live feed camera app but they dont show the door/where they change them/& where they feed them. Not ok! So I had Ricky watch the online feed alllllll day today & they put him in this tiny bouncer payed no attention to him when he was crying and reaching out, but played with all the other babies. They ignored him so much that he fell asleep in his jumper and there was no teachers around and he wasnt picked up for another 15 minutes! Not to mention, every time he came home from that place he was so hungry that he ate THREE packs of food!!!! So they were starving him or what??? Needless to say, we pulled him out of there. NO PARENTS GO THERE!! And now I already told Ricky but there is no way in hell I am paying 200$ for my son to have been neglected!!!!!Also want to make a side note that the reason we trusted this place was because Ricky knew the director. She is no way at fault. She wasnt present this week while he was there and she never gave us any difficulties and was really great with teddy. He liked her alot. The woman that was filling in for her and his teachers are our problem.

My son attended El Presidio for 8 months. It started out chaotic and only got worse.I never knew what was going on. My son seemed to always be with a different teacher. I heard other parents complain that theirs were as well. When I asked how his day was, pretty much all I got was fine. No details whatsoever. The school promised there would be a binder for each child so parents could look and see what and how they did during the day. That never materialized. They said we would have parent/teacher conferences, but we never did. Once I was told at 6:15 on a Thursday evening that his class was having a party the following day and I needed to bring fruit snacks. I was told there would be a field trip, but there wasn’t.The owners declared that having one code to open the front door is a security problem and they would be giving each family their own code. That never happened. Delivery of school pictures was delayed repeatedly and every time I asked about it, I got a different answer. No one seems to know what’s going on.Once, I dropped off a Christmas gift for my son’s teacher. Apparently, the front desk staff opened the candy and gave the card to one of the kids. The teacher never received either. Even worse, the front desk staff told me she received them and I later found out from her that she did not.At pick up one day, a teacher told me my son did well in a different class that day. I asked the front desk staff if my son was moving to Ms. Sophia’s class. She told me Ms. Sophia left with Ms. LaKisha, the director. That was the first I heard there was a new director. Weeks later, I still never met the new director. Two people at the school said the change was permanent, but two parents told me it was temporary. Ms. LaKisha later told me it was temporary and Ms. Sophia was back the next day. Again, no one seems to know what’s going on.All of a sudden one week they took an extra $8 out of my account. I called and asked them to fix it. They said tuition went up. I had no notice of that. The following week, they took out the original amount again. I still don’t know what tuition I was supposed to be paying. The first two sets of spare clothes I provided disappeared completely. The school gave me a credit to reimburse me for the loss, but it was still a hassle. After that, the director put his clothes in the front office so they wouldn’t disappear again. Apparently, she didn’t tell the teacher though, because one day I found him wearing a wet t-shirt and bathing suit at the end of the day. After asking multiple teachers why, I was finally told he had an accident during nap time and the teacher didn’t know where his spare clothes were.My son came home with a big scrape on his forehead. No one could tell me how it happened. Another parent told me her child had unexplained injuries. The school is owned by Small Miracles. The only contact information they have listed online is an e-mail address. I e-mailed my concerns to that address and the e-mail bounced back because the e-mail box was full. I found e-mail addresses for two Small Miracles employees in my orientation materials and e-mailed them. They never responded. I asked two different people for an e-mail address where I could reach Small Miracles. They never provided one. No one was willing to address my concerns. But when I e-mailed the same people to tell them I was moving my son to another pre-school, I got a response within 5 minutes that simply said “Thank you.” Talk about customer service. On my son’s last day, they couldn’t find his sunscreen or bug spray, which they were supposed to be using on him. They also couldn’t find his bag. What a mess.
