I just pulled my kid out of this school . A few other parents I know also did . This school is not following any cdc guidelines this school year, they are not even trying . When parents email governing board members they never answer your emails . The CEO always says nothing he can do . The school administrators go on class dojo and delete the posts of the parents that are concerned about safety . If they don’t like the comments they delete them . This is our third year with Plato, it used to be a good school with caring administration but it seems now they’re more worried about growing too fast /$$$$ than about the health and wellness and education of the children .

Everyone at Plato Academy is genuinely nice. My son loves coming to this school. He says that he has so much fun. I have noticed a happier child as a result of him going to Plato Academy. Thanks Plato Academy Tampa.

Excellent school with an amazing staff and administrators. As a parent, I feel like my daughter is cared about by her teachers and all of the staff. Academically, my daughter has really come to love subjects that used to frustrate her, such as math. Her ability in Greek language has been something that she has become proud of and Plato Academy’s Greek teachers have been absolutely fantastic. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Plato Academy Tampa is definitely the hidden gem of charter schools in Tampa. When I saw the school opening, I researched the Plato Academy schools and was incredibly impressed with their mission, culture, and achievement. It’s absolutely a great school with high academic achievement, high behavior standards, and a small family feel. Honestly, for my daughter, it’s been the place where she has been challenged and where the student behaviors aren’t distracting her from learning. We love Plato Academy Tampa!

Hands down, one of the top schools in Tampa! My daughter has excelled since starting at Plato Tampa and continues to blossom everyday. I cant thank the teachers and administration enough for showing these kids how much they truly care. Excited to go all the way to 8th grade!

Plato academy is an excellent school with a great curriculum. Teachers, staff, assistant principal, and principal are excellent. My son has been going there for the last two years and loves the school very much. Children learn about science, technology, have Greek and P.E every day, art and music classes. Great field trips including going to MOSI and gaylord Palms Ice in Orlando. Parent are very involved and get children involved just raised money for American Heart Association and teaching children to help others and about healthy life style. This is a great foundation to help children be successful and well rounded for their the present and the future.

My daughter is in kindergarten and she love the school. The teachers are very great, principal and assistant excellent. Recommend 100%.

My son started kindergarten this year. His teacher is wonderful as are all of the staff at the school. They really go above and beyond to make the school feel like a community. My son, who used to not want to go to school for PK4, regularly tells me he loves his school! Parents are welcome, informed and involved. So happy Plato Academy came to Tampa!

I am kindly writing this review today to express my sincerest compassion And appreciation for the quality of education my daughter is receiving at Plato Academy. I have had nothing but good experiences, my daughter went from not knowing all of her alphabet to reading and writing words- halfway through kindergarten. The teachers, principal and staff are all very kind and loving and want nothing more but their students to strive and become hard-working leaders of the future. I really appreciate this school and everyone that is a part of Plato Academy Tampa, I would highly recommend this school!Thank you.

This school is the best that could happened to my son. Every teacher in this school is doing everything to help each individual student to get their full potential out. The principal Mr. Gunderson combines in himself strengh, gentleness, discipline, humor, intelligence. He always knows how he should interact with students in any particular case. Besides that he knows the name of each student.The school is doing a lot of creative events and field trips.Sohappy to be the part of Plato family♥️

My granddaughter loves going to Plato Academy and she loves all the Teachers, principal,assistant principal and all the staff. They make learning fun!!!!

I am so happy that my son is able to attend Plato Academy Tampa! The school teaches many positive values with a focus on a specific one each month. The class sizes are small, so students don’t get lost in the numbers. My son requires a 504 plan, and every faculty member we worked with has been so supportive with this process and implementation, even the after care providers. There are meetings that encourage fathers to be active participants in their children’s lives. And best of all, I don’t think my son could have gotten a better kindergarten teacher. I can’t wait for my other children to attend Plato when they get older!

This is our first year going to Plato Academy and our son is in kindergarten. His teacher is Mrs. Sable and she is just fantastic she is patience and loving and really cares about her students. I love the school because they keep us informed about our son and connect with us on social media to how hes doing during the day. What I love about the school is its so small and they are just one giant family. Mr. Gunderson a great principal who really cares about his students and his staff. The school is great because they teach Greek, have physical education everyday, teach music, technology and art. The school is welcoming and incorporates the families into the school and incorporates them into outside activities, such as the Fall Festival. We are also going on the camping trip that all pro dads organized in march with the school and we are super excited. The children also go on field trips like my son is going to MOSI this January and is super excited. What we like about the school is it small and personal. They actually take the time to get to know each individual student this is important to facilitate the foundation for your children to be successful in the future. We are so fortunate to be apart of this school. This is our daughters second year with Plato Academy and we truly love it!! The Principal ( Mr. Gunderson) is very involved in the children’s everyday growth and you can see the commitment to the students success on a daily basis. Assistant principal (Ms McKinney) is amazing young lady and I can’t compliment her enough. She is very passionate about her job and the students learning/growth. My daughter was struggling with reading and she took the time to help my daughter during school hours to get her up to speed. Both of these leaders wear a smile on a daily basis and are filled with lots positivity. I am not sure how they remember ever child name !!! We have had great experience with front desk staff and teachers. The teachers are incredible and cater to different learning styles to reach every child’s need. My daughter teacher ( Ms. Rikkola) is such a kind and loving individual. She is very professional and great with her students. She is very patient like most of the staff there. There hasn’t been an negative experience and I truly believe Mr. Gunderson and staff don’t plan on it.This school does offer before school care and after school care along with different types of classes for students to attend after school ( art class, music, sports, & etc). The school celebrates a lot of different events and holidays and they have been very exciting and fun to attend. Staff and Teachers can be easily reached via app, email or phone and respond immediately.The school does require uniforms which you have to go buy at a third party vendor and I do feel they are pricey and don’t fit well. They are very stiff and uncomfortable per my child. I do wish they would offer a “softer” material option. But the uniform do have a few selections ( short, pants, shirts,& dress )on items to wear which is nice.I highly recommended this school to any and everyone we meet with children. We plan on staying and growing with Plato Academy.

We are so happy we chose Plato Academy Tampa for VPK for our son. He has learned so much and is already reading. We have an older son that went to 2 different VPK programs and they didnt even compare to how awesome Plato has been. An added bonus is that the teachers, principal, assistant principal and everyone that works at Plato is so amazing with the kids and they are always helpful and wanting to ensure your child has the best experience and day everytime they are at school. I cant even say enough great things in one message about this amazing school. If you are looking for a place for your child to attend VPK or school at all. Plato is the place to send them.
