I joined recently and have been enjoying the classes and especially aqua fit class at the pool! Great experience and highly recommended!

I love all of the extra precautions the JCC has been taking recently! All equipment is spaced 6 feet apart and every other cardio equipment is blocked off for social distancing. One of their group exercise studios has been transformed into their functional training area with kettle bells, box jumps, medicine balls, etc. Also all group exercise classes have been moved to the gym, ballroom, or outside to social distance. Definitely feel safe here!

Weve been members for a couple years and Ive felt the need to write a review because of a change recently made that I really enjoy: the temperature of the competition pool was lowered.While I realize that all kinds of people use all of the facilities and there may have been some older people who like the pool warm, for the masters swim team, regular lap fitness swimmers, and kids swim teams, the pool was WAY too hot.However, in the last week or two the heater has been turned down and the pool is now a really pleasant temperature for swimming laps. Its just that touch of chill when you first get in, but you quickly grow used to it and it makes it MUCH easier to actually get a fitness workout in. Plus you dont have to swim over vents pumping hot water into the already-hot pool.PLEASE keep it around this temp! I understand that come winter its necessary to have the heater on some, but for the warm months its -perfect- right now.

Support this Community JCC. Its affordable inclusive wellness for anyone in Tampa, it has been an encouragement so that I can lead with encouragement of others seeking growth strength and abundance in their path to wellness. May I highly recommend anyone joining - let it be so! Treat yourself

This gym is a hidden gem and I feel bad even writing this review because its the quietest, cleanest, and LEAST packed gym Ive been able to find (pls dont ruin that). Ask for Emily, shell hook you up with a great membership (and even a free coozie FOR WATER ONLY) if you ask politely. I dont have enough good things to say about this gym. The staff know your name, all of the equipment is brand new and immaculately maintained, theres an indoor track, the cleanest pool in Tampa, all while being moderately priced. If you are looking for a clean, non-judgmental, gym then this is the spot. Be sure to ask for Emily though if you want that water coozie.

We had our wedding at the BGF JCC on 2/23/20 and it was absolutely perfect! Raquel and the team did an amazing job executing our vision and was such a pleasure to work with leading up to it. We couldnt have asked for better food, florals, or anything!

What a sweet place. I went here for a party and it’s truly just one of the most incredible event spaces we have in Tampa Bay. Recently renovated, the JCC is a shining beacon in an area that’s been working to redevelop itself. The actual JCC is superb with a well planned with a thoughtful parking lot that flows easy. As you approach the beauty of the building becomes apparent. An aesthetic entry greets people into the main space which is giant and open. The pool area is always incorporated into the events and it’s nice spot to get some fresh air. If you’re thinking about hosting a party, this is definitely a great spot

Went for a conference. Did not use the facilities but what I saw, looked great.

I was a member in the JCC for around 4 years. Didnt use it that much but I use to go from time to time with my daughter (5 years old) to the swimming pool. I have an individual membership which they told me I can bring my daughter with me to the swimming pool anytime I want. All was good until after COVID19, I went one day with my daughter and after entering, I went back to the reception to ask for swimming classes for my daughter and the receptionist told me in a very rude way Since your daughter is not a member, she should leave now. As per their new policy after C19, guests are not allowed. I completely understand that but considering my daughter (a 5 years old ) a guest is really crazy. Also they should find a better way to handle this, no need to be rude. I cancelled my membership on the spot and I wont go there again.

The JCC was an great location for our 2nd Annual Cupid’s For A Cure Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction. The main screen at the entrance made such a grand first impression which allowed us to showcase our premier sponsors. The food was delicious with customized desserts to go with our theme. Raquel Masco Merrill was the perfect event coordinator by creating the space which allowed us to focus on making our event a success and that it was.Thank you Raquel and JCC!

I have been a member of the Bryan Glazer Family JCC for the past 18 months. Their gym facilities are first class; a great range of equipment, new machines and a clean environment. What I enjoy most about the JCC is that all of the staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I have nothing but high praises for the JCC. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly, safe community feel gym.

She took the time to make sure she understood what was important to us and she did everything it took to make it happen. From the gorgeous set up of the venue to the delicious food and drinks, our guests were in awe the entire evening. Wonderful facility! The JCC has a wonderful array of workout classes to chose from, a great gym, beautiful basketball courts, and a great family friendly pool area. We definitely recommend! Only small complaint is that basketball leagues run every night of the week, so its hard to find a chance to utilize the courts.

A single-person penalty is built into the membership fees at JCC. The current membership fee for senior singles is $55 per month. The fee for senior couples is $74 ($37 each) per month. This is discriminatory.

Facility is clean, staff is friendly.

The is the nicest gym, by far, in the area. The Y and Harbour Island simply do not compare. The staff members treat us like family. Everything is immaculate. The pools are pristine. The childcare, though it closes during a few hours of down time during the day, is amazing. My children love going, and I feel confident and at ease leaving them there. The showers have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and there are towels for the pool and showers—huge plus! There is a wide assortment of group exercise classes at convenient times and many personal trainers available. The J Cafe is also a great amenity.

This is a wonderful facility with an amazing pool and great kids programs. The fitness center is not too big but there are plenty of machines and classes for everyone. I love how welcoming everyone is here.

Pretty twisted locker room at this place. On my first visit, I exited the shower to come face to face with a woman collecting towels. Her eyes immediately shot to my junk. What the hell?On subsequent visits, there were women in there half the time. Whats wrong with this place? Ive probably been in 50 locker rooms all over the country (I travel for my job), and never had to put up with women walking around. Does the JCC think that men are so crude that they dont care if cleaning ladies walk among them while theyre naked?Too weird for me. I quit and joined the South Tampa YMCA. Its modern, clean, well-run, and the machines are better. And cheaper! Love it. And love walking around buck-nek-ed again, without the old ladies with darting eyeballs.

I always have a great time as a guest at events here, but working with them to host an event was just as great an experience. This team is really on top of things and helped make a positive impression on our members. Excited for our next event here!

The facilities are amazing and brand new. However the customer service is terrible. You will constantly get the run around for everything you need. They will treat you like royalty when arriving and they are trying to sell you a membership however if you try to cancel get ready for the run around. I paid $80 for swim lessons we never used and here are 8months later and they refuse to give a refund! They are trying to force us to use them for other services however we live too far (the reason we cancelled services) and arriving there is simply not an option. They refuse to give me refund and this is why I am writing this review. I think its sad that while they had my monthly dues we got great treatment but now that we are wanting to end for things out of our hands they are wanting to keep our money and I have to jump through a bunch of hoops of he said, she said. I warned them Id do this and they still didnt care. So BEWARE! while the facilities are amazing if customer service and how you are TREATED as a paying client matter to you this is NOT the place you want to be a member of!

This is a great location for my husband and I! He loves to swim and I love the classes. My first Pilates session with Sara was AWESOME, I will definitely take more classes from her! This is so much more than a GYM and very affordable. I highly recommend it!

Excellent event facility! The events team here is hands-on, always available and attentive to every detail of your event. We have held 3 lunch events at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC with over 100 attendees each and only receive raves from our attendees. The venue is well equipped, theres plenty of parking and everyone at the facility is friendly and helpful not only to the paying client but the clients guests. I recommend you consider the Bryan Glazer Family JCC for any events you may have.

I was with my wife who was in town for a conference and noticed this place on a run. They were kind enough to work with me on a guest pass while I was in from out of town. The facility is simply stunning. The lap pool was beautiful and clean. The locker rooms were incredible. Towels and shower products were available which was perfect for me. Service staff was amazing and I hope I come back to Tampa just so I can come here again.

This place is creepy. You feel like you are visiting a juvenile prison. Staff stares at you, the whole place is on lockdown. Have to push doors and sound alarms then wait 15 seconds before opening it. Like jeez. Felt relieved to make it out of the gate. Was worried like I was going to be held captive. Not for everyone.

Loved visiting this facility! They have updated equipment and the perfect cafe to work from before or after your workout.

We have been members here for two months so far. We have been treated very well by all staff and trainers. The gym, equipment, pool, locker rooms etc are all super clean and well maintained. The classes are great, other members are good-natured friendly to each other. We look forward to a long membership.

The daycare hours aren’t great.They have a lot of events going on.. it is clean but that’s just about it.. there is a security guard who while I was member there briefly and the reason for it, was extremely creepy.. always saying things like I’m watching you and going out of his way to show up in the family changing room while I was in there with my children... it was harassment..New is nice but doesn’t make it a great place..sometimes when you do so many things you are unable to do all of them well.This gym is mostly one race and the security will go out of their way to Harass you to keep it that way.It was a positively scary experience!! I paid for twoMonths and was only there for two weeks.. which was hard to even show up because they have a huge daycare lapse during the day so they can hold their events but means that if you have little ones you can’t workout...

Great facility for indoor events. Our meeting hosted over 400 people and it got crowded in the lobby but the auditorium was still roomy for all the tables. Rest rooms were clean. Staff seemed cordial and cooperative. There is one issue with parking, if you arrive late you may have to park on the outside street and take a walk to your event.

Event Coordinator Raquel M. did a phenomenal job planning our event, keeping it in budget and making sure that it ran on time. Glazer JCC staff did a great job too. This is a clean, new, beautiful facility with large ballrooms, a great meet and greet area, and good food.

Fantastic, new, state of the art fitness center and community. In a newly remodeled building, the gym is bright, clean, never over crowded, and they have the best pool in Tampa. They offer free tours to the public, and membership was really affordable for everything they offer. Definitely check this place out, its a step above the LA Fitness/Crunch scene.

Very clean facility with a ton of different activities. The gym have a running track and full basketball court. Also its one of the few places in Tampa where you can play pickle tennis indoors. However in the evenings security its nonexistent, lots of people with no membership get inside and play basketball creating a lot of unnecessary noise and chaos in a place rather quiet otherwise. Still higly recommended in the mornings!

First time inside that building. It was formly an Army Base. A spacious dining area w/A stage. I thought the space was utilize perfectly. Well organized and roomy kitchen.The staff delegate duties accordingly and using synchronicity as we cleared the dining area away.

Great facility. Plenty of workout equipment and things to do while here. The locker rooms are super clean, and the equipment is top-notch. Classes here are great, and personal trainers are always roaming looking for someone to help.

I have attended events with the West Tampa Chamber and South Tampa Chambers at the JCC. Every time the event is run very well, from the check in, to the room logistics and the food. Such a great business to have in West Tampa! I look forward to attending more events there in the future.

I go there to work out and its great. The people are friendly and the workers there are awesome. Shout out Coach T! Coach T is the man!

Had the Master Chorale of Tampa Bays 40th anniversary ruby red gala there and it was beautiful! Staff was kind and professional. Did a wonderful job with the decorations and food.

I am the President of the West Tampa Chamber of Commerce. We have had several of our monthly luncheon events (with guest speakers such as USF Coach Charlie Strong and Mayor Bob Buckhorn) at the JCC. The food was great! As well as the facility. Andrea and Raquel have been fantastic in handling all of our requests including setting up the theme for the luncheons. We look forward to continuing having events at the JCC!

Only been a member a few weeks but so far its pretty great. I enjoy the group fitness classes and the fact that the gym is not full of meat-head lifters. They provide up to 90 minutes daily daycare if you want to bring a small child. Only thing that irked me so far is there are some snobby old folks that get annoyed with the kids running around. Its a family community center, kids are part of the community, get over it! I went to a family yoga class expecting to see moms and young children but there were a couple older folks with no kids that were getting peeved about the little kids running around instead of sitting on their mats. Sorry my kid touched your blocks old lady! 😂

I love using the fitness center because it has all the equipment I need, and it is much less crowded than a place like 24 Hour Fitness or Crunch. The basketball court and indoor track are great for cardio. Hopefully I can take advantage of the classes in the near future.

Amazing place, regardless of your religious affiliation. We have a great time at the gym and pool. Our 5 year old also loves the kids club.

This place has everything to offer from a great workout to a relaxing hot tub. Very clean and the cafe has good food. Easy access and very secure facility.

T RX class was life changing! Love it! The Pilates and yoga classes are a must . Bar was so intense but sweat is the name of the game!Water aerobics are no joke!

Great facility and wonderful staff. Be aware though if you are comparing this to the YMCA the facility while newer and more modern does have some drawbacks with limitations on child care hours. That said, they have a very accommodating membership staff.

Absolutely love attending the BGFJCC! Brand new equipment, extensive exercise class schedule, beautiful locker rooms, friendly staff and so much more! Thanks to the JCC and their wonderful class instructors, I actually enjoy going to the gym and am feeling so much healthier!

The Water Class was FANTASTIC, water right temperature.

Best family gym in tampa. The JCare is a total life saver. They keep kids for up to an hr while parents swim or work out. They have camps and swim classes for infants-kids and swim team for older kids and adults ... wish they had a sauna/ steam room but all that they do have more than makes up for it.

A wonderful facility with every possible amenity, a caring staff, and even though I had a challenge with my account after cancelling my membership because I just couldnt get there as much, Ashley was amazing in making sure I was okay and the situation was rectified.

JCC decided to not only charge us another $99 once we cancelled which was fine bc we new about the charge, but then 60 days after cancellation they charged us another $59 which they never told me about and would not agree to remove this fee. As someone who has worked in sales my entire career, the JCC membership team needs to improve on their customer service skillset. We noticed this location has very few members and I now understand why.

Fantastic facility. I enjoy going to events here because I know they well be done right. Staff is friendly and very professional.

Very quality building that seems to have well trained staff and stays open 7 days a week to provide convenience of fitness programs for all schedules.

I really love the JCC, we joined during preconstruction three yrs ago and the facility is as spotless as the day it opened. There are activities for all age groups, great pool, great basketball and pickleball courts plus indoor track, super updated gym equipment, elyptical etc all perfectly maintained.The cycling aka spin classes are excellent as well as yoga,pilates,and all kinds of group cardio and personal training.Shout out to Deanne, Nicole,Yvette,Manny,Martin,Rebecca,And the friendliest of faces Dolores.Any issues you email Heidi and it gets fixed. This is not a grinder gym for monster bodybuilders but for 95percent of peeps the JCC is the best!
