We love Appletree! Recommended to us by a close teacher friend who put her two kids through there as well. When we first toured in 2018 my husband and I could not believe the level of cleanliness, organization, and fun atmosphere we saw. My oldest is in year three with them and in just three short years there have been a number of upgrades to the facility including but not limited to new floors, new furniture, and a large expansion to the outdoor play area with a roadway for the kids. A track that loops around a large tree with traffic signs, play houses, and more. In the midst of a pandemic they took outdoor play and mask-free time to a new and more exciting level for the kids and it was evident immediately. For two straight months my son talked every day at pickup about what he drove on the track! Updates were done tirelessly over weekends so that the kids learning and play time were never jeopardized. As a parent but also a paying customer that was very much appreciated. In a unique time for parenting and childcare, I feel theyve gone above and beyond with so much. When the pandemic first began they were able to close for only a short period of time (in compliance with local and state guidelines) so that parents deemed essential, myself and my husband for example, could continue to have reliable and trustworthy childcare. Making health and safety a priority they remained open, appropriately staffed, and maintained a fun environment for our kids. After having our son home one-on-one during their brief closure, I feared what drop off Day 1 would be like heading back... I was ready to wipe away lots of tears at the front door with a new drop off routine and masks he wasnt used to BUT my son saw his teacher (Ms. Andrea) and smiled EAR. TO. EAR. I was able to hand him off and they walked in together hand in hand smiling. If that doesnt give an indication of what the staff is like there, I dont know what else could. As hes moved up in age weve encountered new teachers and that has not let up! Weve loved each one of them and he is exited every day to go to school. Transitioning between classrooms has also been a breeze. They do a fantastic job of making the change bit by bit so children can get used to the new room, new teacher, and possibly new friends. From infant to Pre-K all have gone very smoothly for us.Since joining, I have recommended Appletree to a number of other mothers -friends and family included, and all have become part of the Appletree family and remain there still! In the last year weve also grown our own family and now have a second child attending Appletree. Much like his brother, our youngest adores his teachers and comes home smiling every day. Knowing my kids are well cared for and happy is really all a mother can ask for!

It is truly a reassuring feeling to see how much my daughter loves going to school. The Apple Tree teachers have made the whole experience an easy transition for not only my daughter but for us as the parents. She is so excited at pick-up to tell us about all the fun and exciting things she did with her friends. We are so happy that we found this school, the only negative thing is that she will be going to Kindergarten in the Fall and we will miss all her teachers and the friends she has made.

As my child transitions from Pre-K to Kindergarten I can’t help but feel a bit emotional. Her time at Appletree has been so wonderful as well as my little ones. My younger child started Appletree with delayed speech and with in no time she was learning and started talking. I wish I didn’t have to work but knowing I’m leaving my kids with a center who cares and keeps them safe I know I can work and they are okay. Love love ATree

We just started with Apple Tree a few months ago and my daughter loves it. She is learning so much and she is excited to go to school everyday! She loves to talk about all the fun things that she is doing with her new friends in her class. I was worried because she was just at home with grandparents, so I didnt know how it would go and I have to say the teachers and the director are very helpful. The transition time that was provided really allowed her the time to feel comfortable in a classroom.

My daughter is flourishing at Apple Tree. She went from being the shy child that wouldnt talk and would not leave my side to the child who is so talkative and a little social butterfly. I was literally ready to contact birth to three to discuss services but her experiences at this center has helped her so much. The teachers at the center reassured me that being in a classroom with groups of children her age, along with a structured environment would really help with her social and emotional skills, and it definitely has. When I pick her up she has tons to say about her busy day. I can not thank the teachers and the director of Apple Tree enough. I am so happy to see my daughter so excited everyday to go to school. I am so glad that we found you!

Both of my children have been attending Apple Tree for over 3 years. I am a very happy parent. It is so easy dropping them off in the morning, they go right into their classrooms and the teachers get out their breakfast and I am on my way. I see some negative reviews and I have to say that I have not had any of those experiences. Everyone is always helpful to me whenever needed. I actually had to switch my children from full time to part time for a while and the Director was helpful with the entire process. I have recommended apple tree to many of my friends who now also attend. Check them out for yourself I am glad I did.

My youngest daughter has been attending Apple Tree since she was 12 weeks old. This is my first time having a child in day care and I toured many other day cares before deciding on Apple Tree. There were many reasons that led to my decision over the bigger brand name day cares. Above all its the staff. Every teacher that works there is kind and attentive. My child has moved up through 3 classroom and with every teacher comes a better experience. Every morning when I walk in my daughter is so happy to see Miss Debbie and Miss Sally, she loves them. There are never any tears a drop off and when she is having the occasional off day as most toddlers do the teachers in her room are very good at calming her down and getting her settled. The teachers are always working on so many cute and educational projects with the kids. I have so many cute keepsakes all the way back from when she was in infants. They are so creative when it comes to the curriculum. Debbie is very accommodating when it comes to child care for my oldest daughter as well, who is a school aged kid. There is never a problem if I need to drop her off last minute as well. My oldest loves Apple Tree and likes to visit and all the teacher as so happy to see her. I highly recommend Apple Tree. Its heartbreaking to see some of the negative reviews. I have never had a single issue whatsoever. The center is always clean, the play areas outside and in appear to be in top notch shape. Everything is well taken care of there. Theres a lot of pride that goes into making that place look tip top.

Can’t say enough great things about this daycare! I had my 3 sons from 6months through when they started kindergarten. My kids are advanced in school and I truly believe it was because of the amazing program at apple tree. Flexible hours and great staff. The owner is very loving and creative and truly cares about her business. I wish my kids could have Gone there forever!

I have had all 3 of my children at this center and I have never had any problems. The teachers and the Director are very caring not only towards the children but also towards all the families. I loved many things about this center from the individual classrooms to the cleanliness. My children were always happy and very well prepared for kindergarten. Also loved the open door policy, I would often stop by on my lunch hour and always saw happy children. My son who attended since he was a baby, currently works with the older School age children and helps them with their homework, he loves his job and the kids. My mother has worked in the infant room for many years and also loves the kids and her job. Many of the teachers have been with the center for years, there is not a high teacher turn over rate like the others mentioned, take it from a parent who has been with the center for a very long time.Tour the center for yourself and you will see why they have been in business for as long as they have, truly happy we found this center. I will continue to recommend this school to family and friends who have also enrolled their children and are equally as happy.

I have been a staff member at Apple Tree for over five years now. The staff here are some of the best around - friendly and attentive. We truly care for these kids as if they were our own. Our director has a zero-tolerance phone policy so no phones are in use during operating hours. Apple Tree is truly a child-centered facility and it shows from the love and care provided for each child! Come and see for yourself!

Great Center! My children have attended for years. We LOVE this school, and we have been treated like an extended family member. My daughter who started when she was an infant is now a teacher here. For a center that has been in business for over 20 years they must be doing something right! And it shows with the caring and loving attitudes of everyone. Thank-you Apple Tree!

I feel although this is a decent daycare for the money you can feel the tension amongst the staff. I have witnessed first hand the director Debbie being short on the phone and in person with parents unless its to pay tuition. I feel as though they maybe under staffed and Illequipt with the training to deal with food allergies, special needs or behavior issues. My oldest started exhibiting poor behavior towards the last few months, only once it escalated was I asked to have a meeting to help devise a game plan for him only to be told less than 13hrs later he can not return (he just turned 4). This was on Tuesday 10am and I was now a working parent with no warning and no childcare. I feel as though she has failed my child as an educator and hopefully will not fail yours.

My children have attended Apple Tree since they were infants and we can not say ANYTHING negative about this place. There absolutely is not a high teacher turn over rate- the teachers have been with the center for 10 years plus. Apparently the negative comments are just slamming the center. The teachers are caring and loving towards the children and are very welcoming and greet us everyday. We highly recommend you checking out Apple Tree for yourself we are happy parents and would not send our children anywhere else.

I have been working at Apple Tree for 3 years now. Ive been a stay at home mother to four kids and when I decided to go back to work I considered many preschools. From the moment I entered Apple Tree I knew it was a place I wanted to belong to. All of the teachers take great pride in their work and relationship with their children. The director and owner is very supportive and truly runs a great facility with the highest of standards. We always welcome walk throughs and we love to show off our center.

I had two children in Apple Tree over the past few years, and while the teachers are great (Miss. Marcia and Miss. Jackie/preschool teachers) the ONLY teachers that have been there for years. (So keep that in mind when reading “current teacher reviews, that state they have worked for the center for years”, the director writes her own reviews). The director Debbie is a NIGHTMARE. She does not care about the children, the families, or the staff. She cares about her money, and that’s it. When you put your 30 day notice in writing that fake smile turns nasty real quick. You may not ask her any questions after the notice is in. I made that mistake! I simply asked why I was being charged for the week after the 30 day notice? She started yelling at me in front of the children, and told me if I say anything she will kick my son out today! Needless to say asking questions in her book deems you a “Behavioral problem” which on her grounds means she can keep your deposit. Clearly she needs it more than I do.I really wish the center was owned by someone else, because it could be such a great school. The teachers put up with so much, I give them so much credit. They are great people, and don’t deserve that kind or work environment. It is sad, there are new faces every few weeks.I have never been verbally harassed before by someone who is in childcare, especially someone who I trusted to be around my child. She had the nerve to tell me, a paying customer.. that “I am a big girl, and my problems are not hers”. Far from understanding or caring. Please do your research before you get yourself locked in her “rules”. Trust me that smile stops at the tour.Debbie- Thank you for your response to my review, to your question I signed my child up because at the time you were basically the cheapest option, and I sure did learn my lesson. I did not look for the cheapest option when searching for a new school. I no longer have to deal with an attitude from a money hunger director! Such a breath of fresh air to walk into a real school everyday. Nor do I have deal with a ton of children all crammed in a school walking through classrooms to get to the next... Or getting yelled at to drop off my child quicker because your school has no parking. You get what you pay for. Also, clearly you did TRY to charge me for an extra week, because I received my refund for the deposit you tried to keep on me from my credit card. Thanks so much! :) I understood your rules just fine, you like to create your own little side rules along the way. Good luck trying to cover all the of negative reviews with all friends. I think its hysterical every time you receive a negative comment you automatically receive at least two positive ones within days! Such a coincidence yet so pathetic!

I had children who went here. it was all fine and dandy they loved the teachers and never had an issue BUT once they were getting older and i wanted to cut back on days the owner began to show her true colors she is a money monger. she has no respect for the children there or their parents. as long as you pay and dont question anything you are fine but one money question and that is it. Debbie is a nasty mean disgusting excuse for a daycare owner!!!!!!!

I far from recommend this school. The Director, Debbie is a disgrace to childcare. Absolutely the rudest person you will ever meet in childcare. She could care less about your child or your families needs. I got laid off from my job, and had to take my son out of her school for obvious reasons.. you woulda thought she lost her job!!! Very disrespectful, could care less about anything but her money. We had to file a dispute to get our deposit back, she will make any excuse to TRY not to give you your deposit back. Once I started work again my wife reached out on Facebook, Shelton Moms Page for daycare advice, and she received over 60 recommendations! NOT ONE was Apple Tree!! She actually received a few messages on the side from parents telling her to stay away from Apple Tree. The owner has certainly made her mark in town. It’s a real shame, because the teachers are very nice people.

Just want to say I love the staff that work at Apple tree I do not think the owner Debbie ullrich is professional with her clients she does not know how to speak to them in a nice manor or a business Im am very upset with my service there she has spoken to me rudely telling me my child can walk out the door she came. in accusing me of payments that were made saying I never paid them she also told me I had a late payment for 14 dollers mind you I make my payments every week if you are even a doller behind she will come after you threating you. I asked her why I had a late fee she proceeded to not answer my question and talk over me and tell me to have a nice life and hung up on my face and also email me that my child was taken out of her school she can not return there and called the bus company to tell them she will no longer be going to Apple tree. I am sick to my stomach about this I have numerous parents who have complained about her also and I worry for are children who are in her care if she can speak to parents in that manor how does she speak to our children??? If you are smart you will not bring your child here until she is out and doesnt run the business anymore the staff is amazing there that is the only positive thing I will say

Being a previous daycare teacher myself, I must say this daycare is not your best option. Their turn over rate is terrible. New teacher every week in each room. Hiring randoms and firing the actual good ones for illegal reasons. When you drop your kids off, no good morning nothing just a dirty looks. Then hearing the teachers talking badly about parents and their children (not knowing whos listening). And also watching from behind the scenes of children being neglected while they chat and text on their phones (also without the teachers knowing anyones watching)(yes I have videos).amd I also have statements from teachers who currently and who have formally worked there. Not following state guidelines and laws. And also taking MONTHS to reimburse a $600 deposit when a parent decides this daycare is not right and gives them the proper 30 day notification and paid them in ful for their children being there. If I knew how horrible the director/owner of this daycare was, I would have never placed my children in this place. Yeah they make the toura great show, but.. When you actually have your child enrolled, its a different story.Thankful I found a real daycare for my kids and dont have to worry about them anymore while Im at work.
