My son has been at Country Kids Academy since he was 7 weeks old, he is now 5; there is no where else I would feel comfortable with him being. On a daily basis he surprises me with all that he has learned, I would recommend Country Kids Academy to anyone looking for a daycare or preschool. The teachers and administrators really care about the students and from what I can see, the students really love the teachers and administrators. I am so glad that I found this school!!!

Country Kids Academy is a great facility with wonderful teachers. You can also tell that the owner truly wants to make a difference in children’s lives.

My wife and I love Country Kids Academy. Our kids started there at just 2 years of age and are now on the verge of going to Kindergarten. The staff is supportive, understanding, positive and caring. We have moved through different age class rooms throughout the years, The teachers in each room have all been so wonderful. We never worry about leaving them at school. Lori the director and Karen the owner are also great! My wife and I truly believe choosing this school was a good decision I dont know how we got so lucky to find such an amazing school. If they had Kindergarten here we would absolutely stay. For now we will be attending the Summer Camp and will be back next summer! We HIGHLY recommend them!

I cant say enough about this school. Ms. Jessica is my 3 year olds teacher and she and all the other teachers are very nice. Natalie loves going to school. The classes are small groups, they have an open door policy so I can come visit any time. Natalie loves the food, she is always happy to go and see her friends. They have a very large playground and get to spend a good amount of outdoor time, and they do special events often. The tooth fairy came to the school yesterday and taught all the kids about good teeth brushing skills. Natalie was so excited to brush her teeth at night. The ladies at this school go above and beyond. Everyday the teachers always tell me a little about what they did that day. From nature walks, water play, painting, coloring, singing and dancing I know that Natalie has a full day of fun activities. I would recommend this place to all my friends.

I am taking this opportunity to commend the Country Kids Academy. Both of my grandkids attend the academy and have for the last several years. I have always been impressed with their great staff and educational programs. My grandson is now leaving Country Kids Academy for kindergarten. The academy has definitely prepared my grandson for school. Keep up the great work!

We have a 4-year-old boy who loves it. The staff is very caring and nurturing. After 9 months, we decided to send his 18 month old brother here as well. This school has an excellent state rating and we believe you get what you pay for. Do your own due-diligence, but we rate this school excellent.

This place is fantastic! My daughter has been going for years and loves it! Their staff treat your kids like family and they truly show they care about each individual child’s growth and development. I doubt I could find a better place to send her. I absolutely recommend Country Kids to everyone I know. Having personally witnessed crazy parents at several daycares/camps over the years (as most normal parents have), I wouldn’t trust the crazy reviews that are the exception to all of the great reviews for this place. Fives stars - Highly recommend!!

We contacted Country Kids Academy 4-5 times before going in to enroll our children. We are a white couple and our children are both black. We were asked on the initial phone call if our children were potty trained. We explained that they are but have occasional accidents. This didnt seem like much of a problem. They still recommended we visit the school. We toured the school the week we relocated to San Antonio. Our children were not with us. They encouraged us to sign up several times. We were very honest about our children and all behavioral issues. We wanted to find a good school for our children and were looking for a place that we were comfortable entrusting with our children. After looking at a number of schools we decided to go with Country Kids.My husband came in with our children to enroll them. The director took one look at our children and suddenly brought up potty training again. We had told them on at least 2 occasions that our son was potty trained but had the occasional accident. He hadnt had an accident at school in several months. We were concerned he might have a setback when changing schools and had been very upfront about our concerns. We were told it wasnt an issue and that it was typical to have a setback. Once the daycare employee saw that our children were black she suddenly had to get permission from the owner to enroll our children. The owner refused to allow us to enroll our children. She did not reach out to us to get more information or discuss why she was declining our children. Absolutely the only new information the daycare received was the race off our children. They were well behaved while at the school. I contacted the owner to discuss my concerns with her. Unfortunately, she only increased my concerns. She said that our children would not be a good fit. She could not explain why the potty training issue wasnt brought up before or why the staff kept encouraging us to sign up. I was very disappointed and saddened to see that a daycare would show such bias against children. Not to mention, the fact that we had just moved and this decision left us in a bind. I was still finishing up my work in Houston. My husband was beginning his new job, and we only had 1 business day to find a new school. We had to scramble to find a new daycare that we were comfortable with. In retrospect, Im glad we didnt enroll our children. We found a great school where our children are welcome. My son hasnt had a single accident. Were very happy that we werent allowed to send our children to County Kids Academy.

Think Twice!!Both of my children have gone to this daycare! We even left and came back, however, over the past 6 months we have seen the entire facility start to diminish. A new Director of Operations has taken over (she is the daughter in law to owner Karen.) Since her hire 4 amazing teachers have left and now Country Kids Academy is having trouble staffing their classrooms and is now using a temp agency to staff their rooms which are becoming over crowded classrooms. This kind of turnover effects a child’s demeanor and their development. It has become very stressful for my 2 YO. He has become frustrated and begun acting out. The solution from CKA was to isolate him (again affecting his development) which I witnessed on several occasions when I dropped in to observe him. During this time, he has started having accidents. He is potty trained and has no issues outside of daycare. This concerned both myself and my husband, therefore, we tried to schedule a meeting with the owner, Karen but she refused to work with us on a date and time for the meeting as we are both working parents. She is very strict with the days she Is in the office so I hope your schedule works into hers should you have an issue. We have since moved to another daycare and I have to say my only regret is not doing it sooner. It is a great feeling hearing that your child is excited to learn and is adjusting much better .

I have been in the Early Child Care field for many years as a teacher and as an administrator and this school by far is almost like having your child at home. The staff are warm and welcoming and the Management team ensures that all standards are met and each family is treated with the best care possible. One other unique factor is that the owner is hands on and really loves the school and all the families that walk in the door each day. Staff turn over is very little, in fact the infant room teacher has been with the school for well over 10 years. In fact I would recomend anyone to go by for a tour to see for your self just how great the school really is,

My husband and I are great fans of Country Kids Academy. We have had both of our children enrolled at Country Kids Academy. I find and continue to find the staff extremely helpful in working together to find solutions in raising our children. My husband and I value education and found the teachers to be extremely helpful challenging our kids to learn. Ms Miriam encouraged our family to have our daughter tested for her advanced reading skills. Found out our kindergartner is reading at a 3rd grade level and comprehends at a first grade level. To simplify the statement she understands the word alliteration in kindergarten. Our son when starting at Country Kids Academy wasnt potty trained and struggled spelling go. Now with the assistance of Country Kids Academy can spell, read Dr Seuss books and confidently shows us everyday what he learned. ....not too mention the stories of all the fun he had. Although a bit pricey worth every bit. thank you Country Kids Academy. the Napiers

We were in CKA for more than 4 years and we were delighted with the school. From the moment we started we felt in a professional environment that really cares for the healthy development of our daughter. Teachers really care about the kids. In this center they have the expertise to properly support the children in every face of growing up. We started with our daughter being a toddler and we left with a little child that was ready to face the kindergarten’s challenge (ex.she was learning to read !!!) . After leaving CKA seven month ago were extremely happy that our daughter is doing great in Kinder. In Country Kids Academy she got a solid grasp of the materials which increased the likelihood of her success. We’ve just can say THANK YOU to this place which made a huge difference in my kid’s learning and social skills.

I had my daughter there and the teachers are great at what they do BUT the staff is a different matter. The manager and their administration lol if thats what you want to call it suck at what they do. Their fake smiles and wannabe characters are so transparent. I have always gotten attitude from the front staff. I know for sure that the teachers are do well but please please dont waste your time enrolling your child here. One star because of the managers. Even at that I feel the one star is too gracious.

After signing up our 1 year old to a bigger company, my wife went to drop her off and noticed many of the infants being unattended to with looks of boredom and loneliness on their cute little faces!Somehow, we found Country Kids Academy, and they changed our lives forever! Our daughter stayed there from 1, all the way through Pre-K and even for weeks over the summers afterwards. As it was a success for us and our daughter, it was a no brainer to have our son go there when he was born, and he was in their care through Pre-K as well. When our daughter was 3 and 4 years old, we signed our daughter up for a soccer league and realized that many of the other children from CKA were signing up as well. We got together and were able to have a team consisting entirely of Country Kids Academy children for 2 years! Many of the children from Country Kids Academy are still friends in Elementary School and Middle School! It is also nice to stay in touch with parents on Facebook, when seeing them at Elementary and Middle School events, and when seeing them in our neighborhoods and community!Memories of the relationship between our children and the staff at Country Kids Academy will always have a special place in our heart.Country Kids Academy goes Highly recommended by my wife and I, and our children!!!

My daughter just finished her 4th year at this place, graduating to kindergarten this year. You know your child is happy when it is time to pick them up, they dont want to go home yet! Thats a great sign...trying not to take it personally :) My daughter gave a big, long hug to the teacher on her last day. I can honestly say they treated her with the utmost love and care.Pros: After looking at other day care centers, we chose this one due to the friendly and attentive atmosphere we encountered the moment we walked in the door. Other places seemed to have either a chip on their shoulder with the parents, or were too busy to even acknowledge our child. Fellow CKA parents Ive spoken with noted this as well at other sites, as well as the difference at CKA.CKA also offers a 3% discount if you pay for 4 weeks at at time. This saved me some money.Academics were emphasized and it shows in my daughters ability to read and write, but also in her enjoyment of reading.Cons:Late snack time could be more healthy.Beginning and mid-year fee add-on of $100 each time for supplies. Probably normal everywhere, but would rather just have that a part of the tuition. No online portal for parent information, schedules, etc.

Just like the other parents, I cant Say enough great things . My grandaughters go to this preschool. When my daughter had to go back to work I was really worried about my grandaughters attending school at such a young age. We talked a lot about me taking care of them or sending them to school. I am SO happy we took the choice we did. The girls are unbelievably happy. Having other kids to interact with has been such a nice thing for them. Before this, we would take them to parks and such to play with other kids. But hands down the benefit of a daily socialization and a schedule has been fantastic. They are always happy, they love the teachers. Daily, they come home and tell us all about the cool projects they did. And my 4 year old granddaughter is almost able to read! The staff is amazing. The school never smells like a school. I dont know how they do it, but it always smells like cookies. Safety is first. They have cameras in all the rooms. You cant get in without using your fingerprint at the front door. Communication is always open in between the teachers, staff and parents. What a wonderful wonderful school! They have a chef that cooks lunch and snacks everyday. The girls are VERY picky eaters and almost always enjoy the food. This place is privately owned by a wonderful lady named Karen. She has a heart of GOLD. All of the kids just love her. We looked at primrose and some other schools near the area. They are all franchise schools. No thank you! Country Kids Academy is AMAZING!

I have both my 2 and 3 year old girls here. Karen the owner and the staff have been amazing! I am a harsh critic of schools. This is the BEST school around. I looked at primrose and at La petite. They are nice but they are just big box chains. I dont believe my girls belong in a big box mentality. Country kids is privately owned. I did my homework and checked the safety records with the state. They have 5 stars all around.I have seen both my girls grow so much in just the last few months. The teachers are all super. Most are young and energetic. Everyday Emma tells me about a great project they did. I love that they DO things. They play with sand, water, flour, they paint, they cook, they put on swim suits and splash around, they sing and dance, they garden. I LOVE that about this place. You will NEVER walk in to see the teachers just sitting and watching. They are always involved. The teachers even sit and have lunch WITH the children. They teach by example. The rooms are very large and colorful. They have nice toys and its very clean. The parents and kids I have met are also very nice and well mannered. I cant say enough about this school. I think they have about 5 class sizes. All the way from babies to pre-K. The staff is always plentiful. I even love the cook. She is super nice and works very hard to make sure the kids always have fun and healthy food to eat. You can tell she loves her job. They have a very secure facility. You need a finger print to get into the front door and then check in via a numerical password. AND all the rooms have cameras that are constantly monitored.I LOVE LOVE this school! This is a place that CARES with great people! I feel good about having my girls at school while i work!-Natalia Duque

After a long search for the right school for our son we decided on Country Kids Academy. We toured the school separately and were both under the impression that there were 11 kids to 1 teacher. There is a teacher and an assistant in each room. Turns out they consider the assistant a teacher too, so the class sizes are much bigger than they lead on. My son also began having stranger behaviors after only 2 days, I brought up these concerns and rather than offering to look into my concerns the Assistant Director Kelly, simply stated “two year olds do weird things”. I got this same reply for not one or two concerns, but all three! No explanation, no legitimate care or anything else. She just blew them off. My son would come back from his day at CKA with a strange smell around his face, his behavior became agitated, and worst of all be had nightmares and was no longer sleeping through the night after his first day there. Needless to say after the first week we pulled him out. When we were given his belongings we noticed that his diaper cream was still unopened. When this was also brought to Kellys attention she stated that we had not requested diaper cream be used on his paper work. First of all… there was not a option for this on the paperwork, secondly he wears diapers! Since when would anyone not use diaper cream? This would explain his sudden diaper rash after day 1 at the center. I am beyond angry with this experience. They talked a great game, but after only 1 week that their best interest in not in the children.

My five year-old daughter and three year-old son have been going to CKA for over two years now, and the only thing I am sorry about is that they dont have a spot for my infant son right now. CKA had been an incredibly wonderful place for my children - I credit the teachers for getting my daughter potty trained and they are working well on getting my son on his way. Both of kids have learned so much, and my son amazed me when he came home one day, some months ago, and could tell me the sound each letter of the alphabet makes - that was all done at CKA! In pre-k, my daughter is learning how to write and was taught by her CKA teachers how to write her name. They learn about plants, the human bidy, food groups, you name it!Every time Ive walked into the school in the middle of the day, I can see into my sons class and they are always engaged - whether its seated at the tables or sitting on the floor listening to the teacher - and this a class of three year-old children! The teachers and staff pay attention well to the kids behaviors and habits. They are quick in notifying parents of any behavior that is off. They invest in the well-being of the children and listen to parents concerns and are understanding.Yes, sometimes my son comes home with dry snot around his nose and a mess on his shirt, but if the teachers spent time wiping my kids nose or changing his shirt ... well lets just say I should have hired a nanny because his nose is consistently runny and he wipes his hands on his shirt constantly. And in response to the parent review who said her child didnt respond well after being there a day or two ... for children that are daycare age, any change requires an adjustment. Both my kids went through it, and it took them a couple of weeks to settle. My son is now so into his routine at CKA that if my husband and I take him in too early, hes not happy and it throws off the rest of his day, and sometimes the rest of his week.CKA is run by humans, so they may miss something minor, but they know whats at stake and important - the owner is herself a parent and grandparent, and she has a team with loads of experience and the understanding that these little darlings theyre entrusted with are the world to us parents. And I cant wait for my infant son to become part of CKA in August when I go back to work teaching.
