They dont offer anything more than starting at Firestone and working your way up. At least then youll have $35,000 worth of knowledge and have $35,000 in your pocket. They just want to sell you on their loan with a 16% interest rate. Also they just want your $50, thats not refundable.

Would not recommend going here... save your money and go to a different school where the teachers no their work, and don’t bs during class... why spend 40k on a terrible education here, when you can learn so much more at a different school that will do more hands on with you. You will realize it’s not worth your time here once go here. I have friends that are really smart, and they still wish they didn’t go here. Only few like this school because of the job they get.

I attended UTI and now I’m working for General Motors. It is expensive I agree but they have advance equipment some not even my dealership owns.I had to learn to use older equipment. And just cause you attended or want to attend does not mean you will get the greatest job. It’s up to You and the effort you are willing to give.

Been here for a year plus toyota program and the program was definitely up to my expectations. You get alot of hands on training with vehicles and components of a vehicle. Its only a year long course and there are gonna be some stuff left out but you have to remember that UTI is designed to get you ready for automotive industries in a short amount of time. Plus they also offer other programs other than automotive, there are diesel, collision, and smog classes.

Im so glad I didnt invest my money at this school. Years back I was interested in coming to this school. I had cash to pay, but when I went in there, there was this guy behind me, he asked one of staff there a question, and they started to help him first.I had cash and was ready to make payment, and this guy was asking about financial aid and loans. Yet he was a white guy and I was not, so I got ZERO help. I got the vibes from this place that day. Im glad I went home and went a different career path and didnt get stuck in this BS prejudice school. I would not recommend this place to anyone, well unless if youre white of course.

They keep pressing me into coming to their campus for a tour or to meet with me and my parents. I told them my parents have tight work schedules and I cant meet with them, yet that seems to have went over their heads with a simple reply of oh bummer, how about this day. I also told them that I was in college and that too is making it complicated to meet with them. So far Im starting to lose interest in going here.Update: Still waiting for UTI to get in contact with me about this situation...Update 2: 3 days have passed, still nothing.Update 3: 4 months now and still nothing from UTI to help resolve.

Great school, great teachers but dont bring a car there that you love to take care of. Some other students are disrespectful and WILL purposely cause damage to it for a good laugh... I havent graduated yet and Ive already had 2 incidents where this happened to my vehicle otherwise I wouldnt take time out of my day to post this.

Do not waste your money please. You can get the same education at a community college for 1/4 of the price. When I went there it was a brand new campus. The instructors werent even trained to teach. They learned by using us. They never even bothered to reduce the loan amount or discount the price of my education. It is super difficult to pay off too.

I graduated from this school in 2009 and the day I graduated, I was immediately hired as a tech. I took Automotive, diesel, SMOG and Nissan at this institute. 6 years later, Im a shop foreman and feel confident in whatever I do or what ever comes though my garage doors.

I loved everything about going to UTI except for all the jerks who do burn outs in the parking lot and think they are cool. Im so happy that Im done and away from all of those little boys who are not men yet....And yes Im a veteran of The United States Air Force. You kids need to grow up and become men. Should of went and joined the military first or go experience college life. You kids have a lot of growing up to do. Other than that, everything is wonderful. Diesel program kicks ass and I have a great job making really good money. Miss my Veterans and instructors there at UTI. Theyre the best!!!

I graduated this school recently i took auto and FORDFACT program and its a realy amazing program i was hired at a Ford dealership 2 weeks prior to graduation its realy an amazing school but there was some teachers that i will say seemed like they dont care for the students and are just there because there getting paid others will go out of there way to help but there were a few classes were i learned more off my classmates than the teacher because how little they cared

Review №27

Im a diesel graduate and when I called to retake the course to refresh on the information thoroughly, I was promised the course is free after you graduate. Well when I tried calling the school, one of the representatives told me I should just apply to jobs, but what I told him was that I been told by employers that they dont like to hire UTI students/grads because of the bad reputation they have. Also when you apply out in the real world most of these jobs require you to have outside school experience because the school experience to them means nothing, so my question to UTI is, if you really care about your reputation and your students, why dont you help them excel a little more? Offer them the most knowledge, out of this HIGH tuition rate school.

I went to this school with the impression that they were a hands on shop training. I have worked in many shops prior to going to uti. The school was more book and computer based training and has made finding good work hard and the employment Recruiters havent been much help Im now work at jiffy lube. The only thing that I can say was good about going there was the lower ase and ase certification test costs

Program is good but you will still need 1-2 years out in the field as a helper ... that can be accomplished without going to school start as a detailer washing cars and after about 2 years you will be on your own as well and no loans just saying from experience I went to the school have 32k loans now my friend started as a detailer and we both are about to become on our own same time and he has no loans

Review №31

The curriculum is somewhat out of date. Some of the instructors have been out of the field far to long to have relavent work experience. Also the cost to me far exceeded the value you will get out the educational experience. However if you can afford it will help you get in the door of some great companies you would not have access to otherwise. thier job fairs are second to none. the ppl in employment department are absolutely amazing they do alot for the students and guide them on what the job market is at and based on your grades what you can expect. I will say this there are good and bad things to this school there are alot of great instructors unfortunately you have to kinda figure out which ones are which . I will say I would not have the career path i do now if were not for some of the instructors there . I will say this if you don’t have any experience with cars or commercial vehicles I would not suggest you go here . You need to have the talent for this kinda work if you don’t you will fail and badly. Make sure you are honest with yourself and really understand do have base understanding if you don’t waste your money and the instructors time .

UTI is a great Tech School! The Collegic Housing IS NOT SAFE!! No matter what State u chose to go to! UTI should be ashamed of where they put the students up to live. How would u like yr child to live in fear everyday! Think about it! Doesnt matter what sex yr child is. They pay alot of money to live in housing. Shouldnt it be in a safe enviroment. Not the Getto, rubbish, unsafe, low life places that supposedly home.

APRIL 2015 current student. The school and programs itself is good. The reason I one star it is because of Collegiate Housing Services. They rip off students and allegedly wan to help students out, it is a scam and I do not see why UTI associates with them. Avoid that housing service trash and plan ahead and get a place with someone else for the amount people pay with CHS 4 people pay around 500$ each with that amount two people can get a much better place. As for UTI with all the money yall make maybe put better cars for students to work on.

The school is ok. The classes are ok. The teachers and great. Some are ok. The females that work there are....GREAT....visually. I went there for a couple of years doing the auto and collision programs. I would recommend the CRRT highly! It was very fun. The auto portion honestly wasnt wroth the money...industry secret Just try to work at a quick lube shop. Get some experience and then apply to a dealership. But the CRRT is worth the amount of skills you learn and materials you use...
