We love this daycare! Our toddler switched to this daycare after a year of being at home and another year of being at a different daycare. The teachers are so engaged and friendly and we really feel that our son is well taken care of. They have lots of activities for them to do during the day and provide everything he needs (diapers, wipes, cots, sheets, food) to be comfortable. The staff is very communicative (a big contrast to the other daycare wed switched from) and proactive. Our son has become very comfortable and has clearly progressed in his skillsets since beginning here. Would definitely recommend!

Would love if I actually got to do the tour. I scheduled a tour for two different locations and it has been super unprofessional. The pleasant pines location called me at my appointment time to tell me her zoom wasn’t working and she would email me to reschedule with a new link. It’s been weeks. Haven’t been contacted again. Then today I had an appointment scheduled for this location. I made it three weeks ago. They call me five minutes before my appointment that I planned my day around to tell me they’re too busy and there’s no other available appointments until 3 weeks from now. It’s really ridiculous as it looks like it would’ve been a nice place for my daughter based on the reviews. Get it together in the front office.

Sharing this to help other parents find a safe, nurturing, and positive environment to send their kids. Taking a decision about which daycare to send your child during the day is never easy but I can honestly say the staff at La Petite at Hedingham are some of the most incredible people I have ever met. They made our son feel so welcome when he first enrolled after being at home for almost 15 months. The transition was difficult but the warm and attentive staff made us and our son feel completely at ease. They use the Brightwheel app to share updates on your childs activity throughout the day including pictures and even offer a video feed where you can pop in to check on your child. Meals, diapers, and wipes are included as part of your tuition. Much of the staff has been here or at La Petite for 5, 10, 20+ years and really care about the children. You can feel it. We are so grateful!

My toddler attended this La Petite from about 1 1/2 to 3 years old. She LOVED going to school. The teachers were so friendly and would go out of their way to tend to her needs, especially Miss Susie, Miss Amanda, and the 1-2 yr old room teacher. My child learned a ton at this school and it was always a good experience. Unfortunately, we had to move and Im finding that this exceptional care is not always the case at daycares, so wanted to give kudos to the wonderful staff here!P.S. The classrooms can be a bit hectic, especially with the layout of this location, but the staff is amazing and really cares about each kid. I wanted to point that out, for parents who may be touring this facility :)

Our first son started La Petite in the infant room and stayed until he graduated to kindergarten a few months ago. I have been so happy with how well he was prepared to start kindergarten - from socialization with other children to numbers and ABCs! Each of his teachers and the office staff/director have made us feel like part of their family. And, we have made friends with other children and their families through the academy. We have just recently started our second son with La Petite in the infant room and I know he will receive excellent care. I would highly recommend this academy to care for your children and put you at ease.

My child started at La Petite in the newborn room and will continue to go until he graduates next year. The staff is AMAZING and all teachers are just great! My child has learned social and developmental skills that I dont see many other children having and when he is dropped off in the morning it is like we dropped him off with family instead of a company.Michelle is great to work with if there are ANY concerns you have and if you ever have to call to talk to someone you never feel like your call is unwanted.

** PARENTS OF BABIES/CHILDREN WITH FOOD ALLERGIES: LOOK ELSEWHERE. **I toured this place with my 1-year-old recently. On the phone, I was told that there was space for January. After learning of my daughters severe food allergy on the tour, there, miraculously, was no spot until the end of February. The Director, was completely unwilling to discuss any accommodations that could be made to keep my toddler from grabbing other childrens food or drink at mealtimes. I offered to purchase a low high chair or any other seating that they would approve of to aid in this effort (the children sit at low tables together), but the director was not only non-committal, but patronizing to boot. Honestly, just putting my daughter at the head of one of the tables wouldve solved the problem. Lets face it - shes two feet tall. Her reach isnt exactly aquiline. The toddler teachers seemed very kind and warm, so its a shame that their director is so off-putting. Of course I know that it is extra work to keep a toddler with food allergies safe and healthy, but if the parent is offering to shoulder 99% of this work by sending all food and drink and is simply asking for ONE small accommodation in seating at mealtime, this simply doesnt seem like too much to ask. Apparently, at La Petite Academy- it IS. (FYI for food allergy parents, if you look up this corporations history, youll find they were sued several years back for refusing to administer a lifesaving EPI-PEN injection for a child with some sort of food allergy. The court made it clear that this was unlawful and discriminatory, so apparently now theyve turned to other, more subtle, ways to keep kids with food allergies out of their schools.)By the end of the tour, the Director was inventing idiotic concerns, like that she would be afraid that my daughter would be allergic to finger paints since she gets diaper rash from many commercial baby wipes -(that are full of harmful chemicals) and I had asked if I could send our wipes with her. Really??The Directors patronizing attitude just got heavier and thicker as the agonizing tour went on. She refused to provide any reassurance whatsoever that they would do ANYTHING specific to keep my daughter safe and healthy and gave me a vague mmmmm....we would do our best...? with a condescending expression when I kept harping on it. She was also very dismissive (even rolling her eyes) when talking about epi-pen training and procedures, saying that they do all that paperwork and stuff, basically brushing off a matter of life and death with a nonchalant wave of her hand like yeah- all that red tape B.S. What a pain {sigh}. A word of advice: It is inappropriate to dismiss or otherwise minimize something as important as Epi-pen procedures when speaking with the parent of a baby/child with life threatening food allergies. Or rather, its inappropriate when speaking with ANYONE if you somehow happen to be the Director of a childcare facility.Of course, she got her wish which was for us to NOT enroll our child in her facility, but I absolutely will spread the word about how I was treated there so that other parents of children with food allergies dont waste their time and energy visiting La Petite Academy of Raleigh. Absolutely shameful.
