I work here and it is by far the best company I have ever worked for! They are supportive not only to myself but to all of the families and kids too. It is beautiful to watch us all grow together and today I can say I have a family at Kozy Kids :) My interview process was awesome, the director communicated with me very well on the process, how long I would have to wait to hear back, and after being hired I was supported in my new class room with all my directors helping train me, other mentors to look up to and gain guidance from. ❤️

We love Kozy Kids! The teachers really care about the kids. Brie is a wonderful leader to the teachers. There is a true sense of community among parents, children and teachers. It is a collaboration - we feel very lucky. What they teach our kids is amazing, from academics, to basic values and experience.

I’m getting close to a year of employment at Kozy Kids and I just love it! One of the first things I noticed when I started working here was how much love and support there is. All of my co teachers are here because they’re passionate about the children! Not only the kids though, we all help and support each other. On top of having such a great team of teachers. Both Diana (owner and previous director) and Brie (Director) are AMAZING and experienced. Diana is so passionate, knowledgeable and involved! At my previous center I never met the owner and she didn’t seem to care when it came to her employees and families at the center so to have a owner/director that cares and does her best to accommodate not only her employees needs but also the children’s and their families! She really cares about us all and it shows!! She had/has a vision that she has and still does work really hard for. Brie is an incredible director/mentor. There’s always room for growth and Brie is great at giving guidance and support! She checks in with everyone everyday and is great at giving credit where it is deserved! They both give all of us, teachers and the children, love and support. We all work so hard to make sure our school is a safe, happy, healthy and clean place. We have a great chef that cooks and serves fresh and organic food. We keep it very clean and organized with a variety of engaging activities. Inside and outside of the classroom. We have gymnastics and drum circle that comes to our site, in our indoor/outdoor area... I could go on and on about how great I think this center is!I know there’s been comments about the phones not being answered and as a mom I understand how frustrating that can be! I cansay with confidence, the children are our top priority. When this happens it’s because our director and office staff are assisting in classrooms to help make sure the children are receiving quality care. Also to help support staff and children. We do appreciate feedback to help us continue to grow and evolve.

My oldest daughter has been with Kozy Kids since she was 3 months old. She is now 2. We fully trust Kozy Kids with her care. Aside from the care, we like their teaching approach, time for learning play and see the benefits through our child’s growth. The teachers have been wonderful, and I appreciate them more than I can express. The cost is spendy for our family but having our peace of mind has been worth it. We have our child on a short week schedule which we found hard to find. The extra bonus is that I get emailed pictures of her participating in class which is comforting on her days with separation anxiety. I highly recommend checking them out.

I have personally visited, toured and spoke with staff at over a dozen daycare facilities in the NW Portland / Beaverton area and it wasn’t until I found Kozy Kids that I felt truly excited to move my children away from their previous center -- for care closer to our home. The Kozy Kids director and staff have created a home away from home for my children. Kozy Kids is a safe, authentic and loving place where teachers foster my child’s curiosity, engage with them in thoughtful investigation of the world and model mutual respect.

Absolutely wonderful. So respectful of children and their growth and learning process. And respectful of folks raising their children without assigning a gender! Didnt even blink when we shared that info.

As a former employee I can truthfully say that choosing Kozy Kids for your childs care is one of the best decisions you will ever make. From the physical environment, to the teachers, and even to the food served to the children everything about this school is amazing. The school itself is beautiful. The owner and director, Diana, is fully committed to making sure that Kozy Kids is the best place possible for children to spend their day. The classrooms are spacious and provide areas for the kids to engage in any type of play they would like. The teachers work hard to plan activities utilizing emergent curriculum where children learn organically through their play. Kids are encouraged to follow their passions and figure out their own talents and abilities and teachers help them to foster those interests. The teachers at this school are actually passionate about what they do. This isnt just a job to them. This is not always the case at other places I have worked. That difference in attitude makes all the difference in the quality of care kids receive. The children are not there just to be watched. They are in a wonderfully enriching environment where the teachers are making an impact in their early days that will have lasting effects throughout the rest of their lives. The emergent curriculum and loving environment help to show children that learning is fun and if youre curious about something you have the ability to find out more about it. Daily yoga helps foster focus and a healthy mind-body connection that is beneficial for all ages. Healthy food choices provide a platform for greater learning - if their bodies are nourished its easier and more enjoyable to learn.Kozy Kids has a huge focus in empathy and kindness. The children are taught from the very beginning to be kind to themselves and to one another. This emphasis can especially be seen in the preschool classroom where the kids are able to solve their own problems or conflicts - often without the interference of adults. Because they know kindness is important they are able to process conflict in a very healthy manner. They are able to see things from the other point of view, helping them constructively come up with a solution. The teachers are there for guidance, of course, but oftentimes the children are able to resolve things on their own. This is definitely not the case at other schools that do not put kindness and empathy at the forefront of their teachings. The difference in the atmospheres between Kozy Kids and other places I have worked is astounding in this aspect especially.I hope this review has been helpful to you in your search for the best care for your child. I cannot even begin to express how happy you will be with your choice if you pick Kozy Kids!

1 star because there is not a zero star option.. did some research on this as a possibly job opportunity. Was really excited about the philology and fell in love with the center. Arrived for my interview at 7 am as stated by the director in my emails. Showed up and she was not there. I waited around the center for an entire hour for the director to show up. No call, no text, no nothing. Later found out that it was (without my knowledge) being considered a working interview. Really disappointing, rude, and very unprofessional. On top of this no call no show by the DIRECTOR, I watched them break licensing regulations and go over ratio..

I am the new Director of Kozy Kids Enrichment Center (KKEC) as of August 2018. Upon my first visit to Kozy Kids in the Summer of 2018 to interview for the Director position, I was impressed and pleasantly surprised by the warmth with which I was met by the Owner (and then Director) Diana, the Co-Director Ashley, and the Office Manager Sasha. The beautiful visual aesthetics of the center, the abundant natural light that fills the space, the overall cleanliness, the readily visible quality practices of the school, and the meaningful learning in action that I was able to observe just by a brief tour of the space, stood out among other childcare centers, schools, and business places Id witnessed previously in my experiences as an educator for the past eleven years.During my initial visit, it became quickly apparent that Kozy Kids would be hard to top as a place to work. The intentions, foundations, focus, quality of practice, and the air of genuine love for children there, differentiated a position at Kozy Kids as a superior professional opportunity. Furthermore, I could quickly sense that Owner Diana highly values her employees. As I have joined the KKEC team, I have witnessed that beyond the importance of ensuring a positive and enriching workplace, Diana also genuinely strives to develop a meaningful and authentic relationship founded upon mutual respect with each of her employees. Its a pleasure to follow her lead and mentoring in supporting our Kozy Kids Family of Teachers and Staff to grow and align with best practices, while also reaping the benefits of a workplace where I feel valued, supported, and can achieve balance.Kozy Kids philosophy and approach to teaching the whole child in body, mind, and spirit, with abundant opportunities to co-learn and create alongside loving Teacher facilitators/collaborators is a necessary approach to education, especially in the earliest years. It has been such a relief to find and align my own practices with a school that so skillfully understands all the roles of education and works to comprehensively teach our youth. Our schools strong emphasis on supporting social-emotional intelligence, self awareness, mindfulness, kindness and compassion, confidence, resilience, and capability from an early age, in addition to assuring learning in all developmental domains, sets our practices apart from other childcare centers.Children who learn at Kozy Kids receive the most loving and sensitive care, within a Reggio Emilia inspired, multi-cultural environment and Emergent Curriculum. Community, exploration, discovery, multiple perspectives and endless creative processes are essential parts of our school and the learning process for our students. Sensitivity, kindness, and respect to each individual who graces our door, be they a student, parent, family member, staff member, community member, visitor or guest, is of great importance to us at Kozy Kids. Its our honor to collaborate and continually grow our practices in providing the greatest quality learning opportunities, early memories, and foundations for our Kozy Kids. Its an honor to contribute meaningfully to the greater society and community at large with our work in the world.I am grateful to have joined Kozy Kids to further support the direction of the school, to contribute to such high quality, and holistic early education for our children, and to provide loving service to our families and community. I highly recommend considering our early childhood school for the growth of your little ones, and/or opportunities to grow professionally as an early childhood educator. All are welcome here and we look forward to getting to know you soon!
