We just recently transfered from a Minneapolis New Horizon to this Plymouth New Horizon location. We have already seen rapid growth & change in my 2 year old son since we made the move. The staff at the Plymouth location are committed to the safety, growth and enjoyment the children experience every day. Not only is it clear that all staff truly have a passion for working with children, they are also great with the parents! 😃

We have had our Son at this location for nearly two years. It is such a relief to have finally found such loving, caring teachers for him. To be able to watch him grow and learn in an environment that is safe, happy and fun! All my concerns are promptly met and addressed by the Director and Assistant Director and for that I am so grateful! Thank you for all that you do for our family! 5 Stars!!!!

My 3yo son has been attending this center since he was 5 months old and Ive had a great experience with the staff and directors here. Any issues have been dealt with in a professional manner. They have been very accommodating with our childcare needs and my son enjoys going there.

The daycare looks nice, very clean & home like. Very friendly & educated staff in the nb room (: I love the daily connect to see what my son does while I am gone. Also I feel very safe with the finger print scanning to pick up and release your child. Highly recommend this daycare to new moms.

This daycare was the worst daycare ever!!!! They were very unprofessional and did not care about the kids at all. The daycare was very nasty they did not do deep cleaning at all. When I picked my kid up from this center he had so much mucus on his face I had to use a hot towel to remove the mucus from his face. A teacher her 13 year old son in the toddler room with my child. My child came home with several scratches on his face many of times. My child came home with faeces left over from the diaper before for many of times when i picked him up. My child has so much mucus on his face I had to use a hot towel to wipe the mucus off his face. this daycare is very very nasty I will never refer anyone to this daycare. My child came home with ringworm on his face several times is disgusting in that daycare please please do not send your kids to this daycare they need to shut it down

I would not send an infant to this establishment. We pulled our baby after 6 days at this location. On the very first day he came home with more that just a superficial scratch that was bloody and rather deep on the back of his neck that was not reported to us and when we questioned the staff they had no idea it happened. Their response was that another child must have did that. If another child can literally crawl on top of a defenseless 3 month old it certainly makes you question the adequateness of supervision being provided. Infants command a higher rate because they require more supervision and not to let mobile infants and toddlers be on top of them. Also, our child has sensitive skin that requires certain diapers and wipes, I picked up our child on the 3rd day he was there and they were putting someone elses diaper on our child, not using his wipes, and they questioned where his diaper rash cream was. Well he wouldnt have a diaper rash if you used the products we bought which there was plenty of in his compartment. Again it makes you question the attentiveness of the staff there. The final straw was when my wife picked up our child and the staff there had to ask my wife if our child was hungry because it had been 3.5 hours since they had last ate... our child was obviously hungry given how upset our child was and if staff cant figure that out, that certainly is another concern. However, the staff proceeded to heat up a bottle for my wife to feed our child, the staff member gave the bottle to my wife and it was scalding hot! My wife asked if they even check the temperature before feed and their measly response was well yeah we USUALLY do... this is something that should be done every time not USUALLY! Upon questioning all of these instances staff always seemed to have an excuse. Whether our child didnt cry when scratched, or his diapers in his compartment might have been out (they werent I checked), or they just got a new bottle warmer (that should not negate the fact that you check the milk temperature every time). Just a parent beware for this location and the treatment of infants.

Today is sadly our last day. From the first day I needed help caring for my firstborn, New Horizon was my choice. We had to find a new daycare after a move and knew we would want to find another New Horizon. So happy with this location.Besides being very good/ with scheduling changes and help dealing with daycare assistance issues, they are also were wonderful with my precious babies! The curriculum helped my girls once starting school. They were constantly creating, learning and playing. The summer program is amazing and the school age children are taken on many fun fieldtrips and there is tons of fun for when still in the center.I have even been told my kids didnt want to eat certain dinners because I didnt make it like daycare does. Many extra family fun too...Take home dinnerCoffee/breakfast morningPics with SantaWe once even had a sleighrideTrick or treatingThank you guys for taking care of my babies! We will miss you!!!

I switched my 18 mo from the Maple Grove location to this one because it was far more affordable for me and very convienient being it is only 5 mins away from my job. My tour was nice and the directors were very friendly prior to my son starting. When his first day arrived, I called in after a few hours to check in to see how he was adjusting. I was then notified that I had an incident report to fill out when it was time to pick him up, so I had to call and find out about the incident otherwise I wouldnt have been notified until it was time to pick him up. A kid scratched his cheek up pretty bad, I understand kids will be kids so I brought him back the next day. Second day comes around, and its time for me to pick up my son. I get there and as soon as I walked in the door I was told that I had another incident report to fill out. This time a kid climbed on top of my son and bit him on the cheek to were it was left bruised for up to a week. I left the daycare hysterical. Nobody called me to let me know as soon as this happened, and I brought it up to the directors but they pretty much ignored it. My feelings were hurt especially when my mother decided to call up there and the assistant director was being everything except empathetic or apologetic to the situation and more so making excuses saying that the ratio is 7 kids to one teacher. When I had my tour I was under the impression that the toddlers were seperated into two classrooms (older/younger) but it was brought to my attention that they kept both groups together during his first two days and it was 16 kids with only two teachers.. If they would have stuck with what they told me during the tour, I feel like these incidents would not have happened. After my experience here, I would not recommend bringing any child here. The staff are apparently careless or the ratio for teacher:student is too much to handle if my sons first 2 days there he comes home with scratches and bruises. There are many more issues I have seen here, like the way I witnessed one of the staff members yelling at an 18 month old bc he wouldnt throw something in the garbage while the child is sobbing. Once this teacher saw I was in the room, her whole entire demeanor changed (I dont recall her name). I switched my son back to his prior daycare because I did not feel comfortable nor safe having my son in their care. Plus his original daycare actually does essential activitys like group reading, teaching abcs and 123s, sensory time, etc. This location in Plymouth fed the kids, let them play and sleep and thats it. I guess you get what you pay for!

UPDATE 7/19/13 TWO WEEKS after starting at KINDERCARE ROCKFORD RD my family and I noticed a change in my son. Receiving positive attention/feedback and being encouraged daily caused him to no longer be so angry and unhappy about life. and his behavior problems decreased dramatically. Same amount of kids, same child to teacher ratio New Horizon claimed to have of 15:1, only change was the attitude of the adults in the building he was at and far less chaos because the teachers were constantly engaging the children which meant less problems. The teachers have smiles on their faces, even at the end of the day. The teachers at KinderCare care about my kids and it shows, my kids are excited to go back every day and the teachers are willing to give me feedback and ask me what the best way to care for my kids is. This change proves to anyone with a brain that it was not my child that was the problem.6/18/13-What they DONT tell you is they dont want to interact with the children, the school age teachers are resentful, the center is unorganized, often short staffed and the teachers CANNOT HANDLE SPECIAL NEEDS kids. There is also no discipline other than suspending children from the center or having them sit in the office. The center will do alot of fun things FOR the kids, and the preschool teachers are fantastic, if your child is struggling to adjust to being there, they will go the extra step to comfort your child. The School age teachers-theyre lazy, there is very little interaction from them with the children unless theyre doing a group activity. IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD/A CHILD WITH A BEHAVIOR DISORDER stay away from this center. They will not communicate with you about your childs day unless it benefits them (even if you ask them to) and if you want them to do any extra work to help with your childs disorder-forget about it, theyd rather disenroll your child from the center than earn their credentials and the large sums of tuition money they charge every week!
