Our two children attends the academy for 4+ years since they were born. One of the best decisions we ever made. The teachers and administration are practically like our extended family. The support we received from the school is amazing. Even though we relocated to another zip code, we still keep our children in this school because we can not imagine the care they get here will be offered in anyplace else. They were outstanding during the pandemic and the teachers communicate with us almost everyday and keep us in the loop. They follow everything a school should. As parents who take our childrens safety very seriously, we highly recommend childrens garden. Check out there classrooms, curriculum and teachers. They are awesome!

My kid has been in the Childrens garden Montessori Academy in the toddler room since September. We are very happy that we found this school. My child is very sensitive and needed a lot of reassurance. The teachers and administrators made him feel so welcomed. He is very happy here and looks forward to going there every day. We just changed from 3 days to 5 days. They offer a lot of flexibility. Tuition is truly affordable. We highly recommend the school for any parents who are searching for a family friendly school.

This is the most irresponsible academy. They donot allow to communicate with Teachers . They don’t allow parents to see the equipments . My daughter fell while playing and got hurt badly and they forced to sign the paper as if nothing happened . This is so annoying . This happened twice with us and it was just her 2 nd week of her joining . I would recommend not to send to this academy . It is very dangerous and their equipments are not safe .

My children have been attending Montessori academy since they were infants. They are in primary classrooms now. We are very happy with the school especially how they are handling the COVID situation. Visitors are not allowed inside at any time and teachers wear masks. We enjoyed the parent support sessions on important topics like safety protocols, emotional support to children in pandemic, potty training and positive discipline. The school team is on top of everything. The teachers are awesome from infant to primary classes, we love them all! We get photos of our children everyday! Administration is very transparent in school policies. We know this because we have been in the school for 4 years now. We highly recommend CGMA to parents.

Best school. Our kids attended in infant program and primary program. They were very happy and looks forward to go to school every day. The school is very clean and follows strict covid steps. We always received good communication from the school office by text and emails. Classrooms have plenty of material and they have indoor gym for rainy days. We loved our childrens teachers. They take very special care and very flexible. Our 5 year old is at first grade level and all the credit goes to his teachers. Ms Athi is the director and very experienced in Montessori method. She always takes time to explain us well when we have questions. We highly recommend cgma for parents.

Our kindergartener and toddler have been going to CGMA for the past 6 months. We started with three days and then added two more. We have seen so much growth in both of them after switching from a 3 day program to a 5 day. It really makes a difference!! We are impressed with all the knowledge our Kindergartener has! Our toddler is also doing wonderful potty training! We truly found an awesome place for our children to learn, socialize and grow! Teachers and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We love CGMA!

Our experience has been a very positive one with 3 children, 2 of which started in their infant room. We love the infant room, we find the teachers to be very caring and always go above and beyond to make sure all your needs and the childrens needs are meet. Our children always come home clean, especially the infant room, which amazes me how they managed that. I highly recommend this school and their staff.

“Dear Administrators and Teachers as a representation of my sincere appreciation to you for your devotion, inspiration and faithfulness to our children’s development as well as to us as their parents. Our children have developed and achieved so much due to their involvement in your establishment and the dedication to remain steadfast to the Montessori way. They love and adore the teachers and going to school every morning is a real treat for them, as it is for us when we witness the obvious positive influences in their developing minds and hearts.Your obvious determination and dedication is so evident when a person such as I have had the opportunity to watch from outside in for four years now. Please accept this as a simple, tangible and heartfelt method of saying “Thank you.” As my girls grow beyond the scope of your school’s environment and make their way through the often scary, overwhelming and bureaucratic levels of education, we as parents can always rest at least knowing that their most formative years were spent in a nurturing and heightening arena of their self-worth, both at home and at their school environments.Heartfelt thanks & Happy 10th Anniversary”.

I dont even know where to begin. I brought my son here after having issues at 2 other schools. The first school the teacher turnover was very high. It was a chaotic and out of control environment. So much so that when I put him in a more structured and peaceful environment elsewhere he did not do well AT ALL. He cried, kicked, screamed and threw toys for 2 weeks (some thing hed never done in the past at school or at home) before I was told that the new school no longer wanted my son there. The staff was friendly but they were used to doing things 1 way and werent willing to budge from that. A child play therapist recommended changing schools and if that didnt help to contact her again. After researching more schools in the area I found CGMA. I talked to them about the issues wed been facing, toured the school, met the teachers. They met my son. They convinced me to give it a go at CGMA. The first week WAS TOUGH. My son went straight into all of the above mentioned behavior at drop off. I was horrified and feeling hopeless. But the staff and teachers at CGMA were calm, loving, kind, understanding and determined to figure out how to make my son feel safe and secure without me at school. I am happy to say that after the first week things started looking up. The teachers took the time to get to know my son well, treat him with love and kindness and the Montessori model of allowing children to choose from a variety of activities to work on throughout the day really helped. My son actually looks forward to school now and I couldnt be happier. Very grateful to the staff at CGMA. I recommend this place whole heartedly.

Children’s Garden Montessori harnesses the essence of Maria Montessori’s philosophy and weaves it throughout the child’s day and journey. They are even a training facility for montessori certifications/teachers which just reinforces their attention to the practice. The school and staff are humble and familial. My child is loved on, appropriately challenged and given lots of opportunities to expand her experience in and outside the classroom in a typical week. Diverse classmates, experienced teachers, proper manipulatives, classroom gardens, and school events and programs that enrich her education and build community. We have appreciated the directors attention to detail, communication and interest in our child’s needs. We’ve been to several montessori schools with our children as they grew and have enjoyed CGMA the most because of the environment the staff creates - unlike the corporate-like other schools who cared more about their polish then their purpose. Thank you CGMA for partnering with us to grow our child.

We enrolled our daughter Emma at the Children’s Garden Montessori Academy in Plano, TX a year ago and are so very pleased with her development thus far. She is thriving and most importantly, loves the school and the teachers. We like to observe how the Montessori Method enables the well-trained and caring teachers to give our daughter a variety of individual lessons throughout the day, all of which are taught with carefully prepared Montessori materials. But most of all, we love the ways in which Children’s Garden Montessori Academy implements the Montessori philosophy of a well-rounded education that teaches our daughter grace and courtesy, how to care for her environment, and a wide range of practical life skills that are helping her develop independence and self-confidence. Let me emphasize that Children’s Garden Montessori Academy provides Montessori education and follows classic curriculum and method. This means that, as a parent, you need to be clear about what Montessori education is and is not, level-set your expectations accordingly, and make an informed decision about whether it is right for your child and your family. Understand the exact sense of structure unique to a Montessori classroom, and familiarize yourself with the Montessori principles and concept of a work cycle. While Montessori students are taught to be involved in self-selected work, bear in mind that teaching a child to choose what to do is not the same as letting him or her do whatever they want. If you consider a Montessori education for your child, I highly recommend Children’s Garden Montessori Academy in Plano wholeheartedly. For us, it strikes just the right balance of a structured and supportive environment that fosters academic preparation along with independent learning and intrinsic motivation. We, parents, are always welcome to visit the school and join in various activities, and the community of parents is excellent and we have formed strong friendships thanks to the school. In addition, the Director has been very caring, highly attentive, responsive, willing to address our concerns, and happy to share with us her vast knowledge and experience. We are fortunate to be part of Children’s Garden Montessori Academy in Plano. Finally, I am lucky that my daughter is surrounded by such caring and devoted teachers in her Butterflies class like her lead teacher Mrs. Lavanya Gogiheni and her Assistant Mrs. Domonique who LOVE what they do and love their students.

I put my son for the in the toddler program and was dis-satisfied the way the teachers had a handle over kids. Originally, when I registered my son at the open house back in summer, there was certified teacher for the toddler program. She seemed passionate and more experienced. But apparently, she left the school and the new teachers are not as experienced. The ratio seemed much higher, even though its meets by the law requirements. I also felt that curriculum schedule was not closely followed as told initially, i.e lunches, and naps, were always 30 minutes prior to scheduled time.Other lacking factors were lack of interest by teacher, good customer service skills, returning phone calls, delays in the orientation. I also had an opportunity for parents teachers conference. The teachers failed to make eye contact and the conversation seemed more between director and amongst teacher. Teachers should be little more open minded to the needs of parents.
