My two kids, 2nd and 4th graders, have excelled so much being in Gideon. They were already pretty good students, but the repetitive exercises that they do in Gideon has definitely helped boost their confidence. In fact, they both received straight A’s on their first report cards! The Gideon reading comprehension and math classes give them the foundation they need to thoroughly understand what they are learning in school. Fiona and the staff are very encouraging and recognize their milestones. Lots of prizes involved, which makes learning fun for the kids!

My Son is responding to the teaching he is receiving at Gideon like he hasnt at other places in the past. He has made strides with Gideon. And he enjoys going to tutoring.

This location is well run: professional, prompt response to parent inquiries, and most importantly - the tutors balance nudging the children along to success while keeping the tone positive and encouraging!I had concerns that my children were behind in math because of the disruption in their education during COVID. I did not want the summer slump to further degrade their math skills. I discussed my concerns with Ms. Fiona (the owner and director) and we discussed what Gideon could do to help my children. In just a month, they have improved their mastery of math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication - the ABCs of Math) and learned how to better tackle word problems. My children are less anxious when it comes to math homework and school assessments and my sons teacher at school told him that he has greatly improved on his multiplication. I look forward to my children getting a head start on the next grade curriculum this summer. Ms. Fiona sent her own children to Gideon when they were young and saw what tremendous success they had with the Gideon program. After just one month, I too am seeing the positive difference that Gideon makes!

So thankful we made the decision to put our daughter in 1x1 tutoring over the summer at Gideon. She had been a solid B student last year, but, lost her confidence. Fiona and her teachers were great to work with and really helped her develop independence and improved her skills. She started high school confident and has already been achieving all A’s on her math tests. This has been one the best decisions we made for our daughter and we will continue with the tutoring.

We have been part of Gideon for a year and have seen great progress with our kiddos. I recommend Gideon in east plano, because of the structure and kind staff. The curriculum is easy to follow for parents and kids. It’s great because my kid knows the expectations and what to do. Staff is great with communication so I know how to help at home.

I am really with Fiona and her awesome teachers. Gideon in east Plano is run very smoothly and it’s environment is very conducive to a child’s learning. My son has been for 8 weeks. He was previously in Kumon for 6 months and got very frustrating with the lack of attention or interaction with the tutors there. His progress at Gideon has been dramatically improved. It is such a joy to see his confidence level raised up in such a short time. He looks forward to his classes at Gideon and loves his teachers here. At school, his teacher has noticed his progress and his new found confidence.I highly recommend the place and am spreading the word to my friends and family.

Our daughter was only 3 years old when we started Gideon back in 2017. And we were not sure what to expect, but in just few months we were amazed to see the transformation on how well she was doing and continue to progress. My daughter has been enrolled here for several months now, twice a week. Her growth in math, reading, and writing have improved dramatically. Her daily school teachers have commented on her advancement during her last review. Her confidence in taking on new challenges or speaking in class has improved to the point she wants to be the one with the answer each time. We interviewed many of the local centers that provide similar services to Gideon such as Kumon, Reading Ranch, Explorer Horizons, and Grade Power. While the other companies varied in their approach and were acceptable on many levels, we chose this place because of the staff, the progressive can do attitude and structure provided. My daughter looks forward to going here every time, so I know we have made the right choice and her grades reflect that.

After a period of study, now my daughter has a great Progress, here I am grateful to the teachers here for the loving and effective teaching of knowledge to the children.English is a big problem for Chinese parents like me. The lack of fluency in English causes my daughter to be behind her peers in both Math and Reading. I felt totally helpless in this situation. It was a big headache for me and my husband.
