Really sadden that Mrs. Elena is no longer with CLA due to how poorly she was treated there. My daughter was really attached to her. Mrs. Elena was the only reason why I knew how my daughters day went and how she was doing on the daily basis. Ever since she left, I have no type of communication from the school what so ever. She was an amazing teacher and my daughter misses her and talks about her daily.

I absolutely love Children’s Learning Adventure. I work for children’s learning Adventure, and my 3 year old goes to my school as well. He has such an amazing teacher. Miss. Irma and miss Michelle are so amazing and hard working teachers. They work so hard to teach my child and they are very patient with him. Every morning my son is so excited to go to school and see his teachers and classmates. I highly recommend my school. We work hard to protect our staff and children from Covid-19 and the school is cleaned on a daily basis and safe for all of us to be in there.

***8- MONTH UPDATE***It has been 8 months now since my son began at CLA and the experience has been absolutely incredible! Since he started he moved into the 2 year old room with Ms Wendy and Ms Jessica. They have been ABSOLUTELY phenomenal!! It just keeps getting better and better here. My son is so communicative and correctly using pronouns (I, You, We,etc.) He has just exploded with personality and words. He is given so much love during the day and comes home to tell me Essy-ka and Wenny (Ms. Jessica and Ms. Wendy) is NICEEE. He even went to give me a hug at home and said hugs Essy-ka! I mean mommy! lol its just hands down proof of the attention and nurturing environment he gets every day at school. Also, in the 8 months has been at school here, he has only gotten sick ONCE and it was something he caught from me. Even our pediatrician is noticing the reduction in our visits and his development being off the charts and its all because of CLA. The support staff also knows my child and greets him by name every morning and are so quick to let me know of any new updates. Every Friday there is a themed event and they encourage teaching the children of all the ways to help in the community! Food drives, change contest donations, and so much more! No matter what you are looking for in education for your child, CLA is on it. These people are truly amazing in what they do and in return my child is making wonderful memories, building strong confidence in himself and making wonderful friends! All of the staff is awesome but my absolute best experiences have been with...*Ms Wendy and Ms Jessica - MVP Teachers for life! in the 2 year old room, you can always count on them to notice everything about your child, encourage them and bring out their best!*Ms. Courtney - 3 year old and teaches with such love and kindness!*Toiya Parker - Center Director - I swear she knows every students name in the building!Amanda Gill - Staff Accountant - She makes understanding tuition options and payment schedules so easy and is always looking out at what the best option is for you and your family with attendance and pay structure!Ashley Tucker - Customer Specialist Extraordinaire - She holds the PARENTS hand through the whole process and emails photos and updates daily that give you peace of mind. I truly appreciate her and all the effort she makes to be transparent with my child’s care and sharing his day with me.The teachers here are alert and nurturing and really pay attention to the kind of care your child needs. At the end of every day they provide a very detailed report. They go beyond the normal diaper changes and food for the day and include things like, a highlight from their day, what songs they learned, what letter in the class they are focusing on, class theme, sensory, art, outdoor game and much much more! They even add color and stickers! It allows me to be in the loop and work on things with my child at home to help reinforce what he is doing at school. The center and class are always immaculate and there is a big sense of community within the center. During my first week, teachers that weren’t even his teacher knew him by name and were greeting him at drop off and pick up when we passed in the halls. The other parents are equally as welcoming too! They have a great food menu for the children and even have a vegan meal plan should that be something you want for your child. In the lobby they share all of the surveillance going on in the center with well over a dozen monitors, including an infrared camera on the playground. So should you want to check on your child during lunch without them knowing you are there, you can easily sneak a peek at them in the lobby! We love Childrens Learning Adventure because it is a safe, nurturing, and educational place that is strategically designed for children of all ages to thrive! The teachers here truly care about your childs success and they have a real partnership with parents in mirroring the same love and support you give them at home with them during the day.

Where do I begin!! I believe in order to have a great school and great staff, you must have great leader. The Director of CLA, Mrs. Toiya Parker is of that, a Great Leader. The CLA staff is absolutely AMAZING! From drop off to pick up! They are on it!! They care about the safety of our children. Both my 3yr old and 2 yr old attend CLA. They get excited from the moment were pulling up to the school. Their teachers Mrs. Elena (whom Im obsessed with and just hands down the absolute best ) Mrs Joanna and Mrs. Sory ( such loving and caring teachers, always encouraging the little ones and the amount of patience they have to deal with 2 yr olds...LOL)Its comforting to know that I made the right choice in choosing CLA for both my boys.

I have never been treated so unprofessionally and carelessly at any job by both director and corporate. Not to mention many things going on including the AC being broken for the entire summer with many complaints and still no care towards the teachers or children that had to be in hot classrooms all day with no other options after having brought this issue up many times.I do not recommend anyone to work here or enroll their children here as all they want is money and lack compassion to treat people with kindness respect.

The staff loves my daughter and she loves them!I thought I was being crazy including a 3 year old in such a big decision but it was important to me she enjoyed the place she was going to spend so much time in. The variety of play centers and toys were really interesting but the administration showed us a new level of organization and care that I wasn’t expecting from such a big center. The new director Casey has been a blast to work with and hired some of the best teachers I’ve ever met. It’s pretty great going from a place that my daughter dreaded (old daycare), to a place that she doesn’t want to leave.Definitely check out Ms. Jordan and Ms. Brianna! If you don’t fall in love with the indoor gym, outside playgrounds, or COOKING class, then you’ll definitely sign up just for them.

My daughter attends this school and there is a teacher by the name of ms.vicky who is very rude towards my child. Mind you my daughter is the only black child in the class room. My daughter came home on numerous occasions telling me the things that ms. Vicky has done to her. Ms. Vicky told my child her hair wasn’t beautiful as well as constantly putting her in timeout for simply being a child. I’ve contacted the school and notified them of everything but yet nothing seems to change. Today was the last straw when my daughter came home saying that ms. Vicky snatched a toy from her and yelled at her making her cry and feel sad. Another classmate gave her another toy so she won’t feel sad. For my child to come home everyday and tell me that her teacher is being mean to her and make her cry is unacceptable. Mind you my daughter is the only black child in the class room. I strongly hope her actions are not racially motivated. I will be removing my child from this school.

Wonderful facility for children to really learn on a deeper level! My only reservation is for the price you have to pay for this school, youd think they would not just follow state standards on teacher/student ratio, they would have an extra full time teacher in the classrooms. That would make this school one of a kind and put me a little more at ease when leaving my child there. Once you check this place out, you will definitely want your child here! And the director, Rachel, and her staff are genuinely caring, wonderful, and they make sure they all know you and your child!

We’ve been in CLA for a year. We moved from out of state and Ms. Vicky in Pre-k was amazing with my daughter, in a couple of months my daughter learned a lot of stuff that she wasn’t learning and was able to catch up and be ready for kindergarten. My daughter stills loves to visit Ms. Vicky classroom and she is very kind paying attention to all what my daughters says to her. All the staff is really nice and really care about the kids, allergies and foods intolerances . I definitely recommend this facility.

I do agree with some of the comments. I did here different pricing for summer. I believe more can be offered at the facility for the pricing, such as more in-depth computer classes, robotics, and LEGO engineering. Nonetheless my son loves his teacher — Mrs. Areka. Her attention and care with the kids are great! The extra time she takes giving details to the parents. She genuinely loves being a teacher which spills over to her joy of exposing the kids to many things. The 4 stars go to the teacher.

I am writing this to hopefully prevent this happening to any other children that are attending this daycare. We have been going to CLA for over a year and we unenrolled immediately from the SECOND time my daughter came home with bruises from her TEACHER.The first time my daughter came home with a shoulder bruise, management made it seem like an accident on how the teacher grabbed her in the bathroom. The second time, my daughter has always had a pleasant demeanor being dropped off in the mornings until recently - shes has been crying and begging me not to leave. I stayed back to watch how the teacher handled it - she grabbed my daughter by the arm multiple times.I left the building telling management how upset I was to witness the teacher yanking my daughters arm and scolding her for crying. Nothing loving about the 3 year old classroom in this facility. Casey, the director, called me during the day to say that the teachers back was hurting and that is why she grabbed my daughter the way she did. Management does not seem to care about what happens behind the classroom doors.I have had to speak with management NUMEROUS times due to how the teachers treat the children. I have heard teachers say to kids, you are not my friend anymore, I am not talking to you anymore. My daughter has come home copying what the teacher tells her.You are only going to pay for the building not the quality of teachers.

Pricey and flashy, but the exact same as any other daycare in terms of curriculum and care of children. Employees are constantly running back through the swinging door they came from due to poor management, lack of ability to climb the corporate ladder, lack of help, and inability to make a living wage.As a parent:I am a teacher here and I cannot afford to take my child here...I wouldnt even if I could. The initial flashiness and promise of top of the line curriculum and care is nothing more than that. Teachers are trained to put on a happy face when parents, licensing, and corporate walk in; Almost half have never worked with children before, especially in the summer when they hire anyone who walks through the door!Children are taken care of here as good as any daycare but for 4x the price and the curriculum is a joke so dont buy into it.If you are looking for a school where your child has security, this is not it. Teachers are dropping left and right as we are treated so poorly. As for employees:There are no benefits for the first year and when you can get them, you cant afford them. The average teacher makes about $11 and yet healthcare is around a whopping $150 a paycheck; thats $300 a month for basic coverage! You are not given a copy of the handbook. This in and of itself should have you running in the opposite direction! If you care about having a job you can live on, this is not the job for you.Teachers make anywhere from $9-$12 on average and a few make $14...if you have degrees in education and are lucky! (They are also the first to get their hours cut)You are promised 40 hours and are given less than 37 (some teachers are currently forced to work 30, the lowest legal full time amount in Texas)You will get no help from management;Kelsey, the Accountant/manager is both rude and pompous and cares nothing about any of the employees who are forced to work underneath her vicious personality.Ashley, the Director, can be sweet but will turn on you on a dime if she feels you are not willing to do anything she demands you do.As for the rest of them, they generally care for the employees, but are reluctant to help parent or employee for fear of loss of status and repercussions for upper management. You cannot climb the ladder at this place unless you are friends with the right people. Regardless ofYour past experience, if you dont kiss the right ass, you will stay at the bottom of the corporate ladder. At this school I have seen so many things brushed under the rug including employees suddenly no longer working for the company, policies they say exist but dont, and even concerns or incidences with the children themselves that shouldve either been reported to the parents or the authorities.Dont waste your time as either a potential employee or parent of a child you love.

We had the best experience at CLA Plano West. Mrs. Areka is a shining star in their pre-kinder program. I brought her a baby, with knowledge of maybe 1 or 2 letters in the alphabet... within a year, she gave me back a reader, a mathematician (literally, the boy does math in his head now!) and little man that loves to learn! We recieved the highest marks Ive ever seen at his kindergarten assessment. Ive sent 2 children through PISD pre-schools and had both of them start kinder with less than 10 letters that they knew. My littlest boy just started kinder this year and Ive never seen assessments like his. 26 / 26 letters, high marks in Math, and his sentence dictation was like nothing his new teacher had ever seen. He wrote her 2 full sentences... when she normally gets one word and lots of tears! My favorite part of his assessment was when his Kinder teacher told me that he has already conquered all of her 1st and 2nd semester goals, all she has left for him is end of year goals. I cant brag enough on the quality of education my son recieved. They have a shining star in Plano, I sure hope they recognize it! Thank you, Mrs. Areka, for making my baby boy a learner, a reader and a happy student!*Pics below to show the actual data from his first kindergarten assessment! 3rd child... first time ever seeing numbers like this!! :-)

We love CLA! We started my daughter (now 2 1/2) at the Keller facility when she was just 6 weeks old! We transferred her from the Keller location to the West Plano January 2016 when I moved to Plano for a job. The transition was very easy and both locations worked together to make it as smooth as possible. My daughter loves going to school every morning, and I can tell how much she learns. She sings a new song every day, and she likes to tell us what she did at school. She does not warm up to people outside of the family very easily, but she has a best friend at CLA, and she loves Ms. Sonya and Ms. Pashon. I can tell they really take care of her because she gives her teachers hugs and kisses every time we pick her up. This is the best school there is for babies through adolescent age.

Update:1. All the parents were emailed this week that Emily is leaving. Again, not surprised. Rose Morelock, the VP of Talent Acquisition and Regional of the school, sent out the email. If shes been over the school for a while, then shes the opposite of talent acquisition and definitely part of the problem. Extremely disturbing turnover rate...SIX Directors in 3 years...yes, 6. Most of the parents are rightly pissed off and dis-enrolling. Congratulations for running off the best talent.2. I caught wind from a new family that theyre price matching significant reductions, while keeping the same rates for everyone else. Great business model.3. Also found out Childrens Learning Adventure recently filed for bankruptcy. Its quite clear the problems stem at the top.4. Im dis-enrolling my children. Youre welcome.Original Post:Ive been here since right around the time they opened and heres what I think, coming from a person whos kids have been in 4 other preschools/daycare centers:The school is really cool on the inside and offers elements nearly every school cant compete with. It is that amazing. Culinary, playground, inside/outside activities, technology, etc. The teachers are also pretty awesome and Ms. Vicky is one of the best pre-k teachers Ive ever seen for kids. If you have the chance to pick pre-k teachers, choose her. Youll thank me later. Price is pretty comparable to most schools in the area. We paid a I think $10-20 more a week for a much more active and fun school. From a leadership culture perspective, I think this school is really lacking. When I first got there the managers really helped my children with a smooth transition, but all of them are gone and/or have been replaced a few times over. They have also gone through at least 3 Directors within the past year and I think 4 or 5 since we started. This is not normal, regardless of industry you work in. I firmly believe it will be much better now that Emily is the Director. Shes much more personable than the others and was one of the managers who really helped my children transition. They love her. Really seems to have her head screwed on straight. With that said, whether it is the GM and/or corporate (whoever is over the school), I really hope they start looking at how a culture of consistency and leadership really matters to parents. Poor hires reflect poor leadership. Some of the other schools I came from had people there for quite a while. It definitely puts the mind at ease that theyre doing something right, while this school is constantly cycling through management. Children like consistency just as much as parents do (the management team are the first people everyone sees when they walk in). I know quite a few parents Im friends with left, because of the ever-constantly-changing dynamic. Well see how it goes moving forward, but Im hoping for some consistency.

We have been with this CLA since they opened and came from another CLA in Pearland. Our favorite teacher is Ms.Alicia because she has been a constant presence in our daughter’s time there and made that huge transition so much easier- We are forever indebted to her .Ms. Vikki, Ms .Areka, Ms.Colleen and Ms.Jessica are wonderful teachers. She is now in Navigators and I can truly see the how much she has learned. Ms.Areka has done a wonderful job of of giving awesome feedback and speaking to me about what she needs to work on at home. She gives extra homework- which my daughter loves to do. I am very confident my daughter will be ready for Kindergarten. My only issues with CLA is the high turnover in staff and management, change in the curriculum and pricing. I feel the curriculum should be the same or very similar to the area ISD -Plano,Lewisville and Frisco for Navigators . I am not 100% in love with the current curriculum. I feel this should be at the discretion of each individual campus to manage.I do see great things for this campus now that Ms.Emily is Director. I feel her energy and passion will be a leading example for staff to stay .

Our, now two year old, has been going to CLA since January 2015. I have been so impressed with this daycare, It would have to take something very serious for me to even think about taking him anywhere else. The entire staff knows my husband and myself by name, and of course, our sons. We always get a friendly welcome when dropping off/picking up our son. Suzanne and Kinsey are the morning greeters. Emily and Whitney are usually our greeters in the afternoon. The always make you feel special. When there is an incident- no matter how minor, I always receive a phone call. When I have an issue, there is always someone there to talk to.He has since transitioned to a different class (August 26th), but his first classroom, was for 1-2 yrs. His teachers, Ms. Jessica, and Ms. Michele took very good care of him. He has learned so much in the short amount of time he was there. He turned 2 in July and knows numbers, letters and even says his ABCs (although, not perfectly). He even knows some Spanish words!! They have always been very attentive and even help with potty training. When we leave he hugs his friends and hugs his teachers and most mornings (Hey, hes 2), he gets really excited when we pull up. I get daily Notes and tells me what he ate, his nap time, diaper changes and a summary of what he learned and what he did that day. I get weekly newsletters in my inbox and he has even been in some of them. They also have weekly Field Reports, which focuses on Attention Bonding Communication, a classroom schedule, and event Fridays. Every Friday, they have something special, whether its a dress up day, special guest, or something extra fun. The whole school participates and encourages the parents to join as well!Although it took a couple weeks for him to adjust to his new surroundings and new teacher, Ms LaTonya and Ms Nicole, he now, gives them hugs when he leaves. He is still with his friends, as most of them transitioned together, and they have such a great time. CLA was pricier than his previous daycare, and we were skeptical at first, but its worth every penny in our eyes. We plan on taking him well after he starts regular school. The love and attention they give our son is above the rest and when his eyes light up when hes there, thats enough for us. I wouldnt recommend any other daycare but Childrens Learning Adventure in Plano!
