I love Upward Daycare. I have had three children spend time in their daycare, and I have been and am truly happy. Each child was welcomed and took care of like family. The Center is clean, neat, and works hard to keep quality standards. Sharon, the director has been a dream working with my schedule. Ive even had dedicated teachers teach my son how to throw a ball and even guide with potty training. The staff has been incredible working with our dietary needs. I would write more examples but then I would probably list every staff member working in the daycare and the review would get too long. Get on their waitlist, you would be lucky to get a spot.

Upward is one of the best daycares in the area. I toured 10 facilities, and Upward was our first choice. It had the best teacher to infant ratio, great times, and reasonably priced. My daughter has now been there for 4 months, and Im still happy with my choice. I feel shes safe and well taken care of. As I drop her off she smiles at me as shes playing on the mats or with Noemi. I would recommend Upward to anyone in the area.

I highly recommend this daycare. The teaching staff is warm, kind, and take a personal interest in my son and our family. Their facility is clean, new, and safe. They offer flexible hours and are more affordable than other daycare options. The administrative staff is responsive and accommodating.

I’ve had my daughter in the Upward daycare since she was a wee infant; it’s been nearly two years now. The teachers and staff are all very kind and great with my daughter – clearly building relationships with her.In the past, I taught classes in Child Development at ASU, so having a program that would focus on different aspects of development (motor, social, emotional, cognitive, etc.) for my child was important to me. You can tell the staff actively work on helping the kids develop – from their encouragement when they are learning to walk, to the drawings and paintings they have them create, to having them learn to share toys, to reading and dancing with them. One of my favorite parts of the program is that they have music therapy built in, so kids get exposure to music, dance, and working together early on!They’ve also been VERY flexible and understanding with my schedule; I work in a school, so there are times when I don’t need care for my daughter. In general, daycare is not cheap, but other people have told me that Upward’s price is reasonable, especially given the great amount of individual attention they receive in the infant program (which is, apparently, pretty rare!). So far, I’ve recruited a couple friends to bring their kiddos to the Upward daycare, and I’ll be bringing my next baby there when the time comes! We’ve had a great experience at Upward so far.

My daughter (almost 2years old) has been going to Upward for over a year and my son recently started in the baby room at 8 weeks old. The staff is absolutely amazing. I feel very comfortable leaving my children for the day and I know they are in great hands. Knowing that they are cared for at their daycare helps me be a better person at work and at home. The infant room and the 1 year old room are always clean, have a variety of toys, a great kitchen and they do a great job at personalizing the rooms with the kids pictures and their families. They offer different activities with the kids and my kids ALWAYS come back with a smile. I know they are great teachers as my daughter comes back home everyday with new words or tricks. They have a nice playground too that they use daily and is shaded! The staff is very welcoming and they truly care for the kids. The communication is easy, whether it is is with the Vice President Sharon Graham or with lead teachers of the classrooms Marisol and Noemy. They are good at what they do and I have learned a lot from them, as they spend a lot of time with my kids!I would highly recommend this place to other families. I have tried 2 other daycares before and this is hands down the best.

In my experience with my children having therapy sessions at Upward (Upward Foundation or Upward for Children and Families), which should be renamed Downward; both vice president of programs Sharon Graham and therapist Angie Bekos viciously attempted to vilify me, to the extent of composing a letter accusing me of things, some of which were false, when I was spending time with my children at the therapy sessions in good faith, instead of speaking to me beforehand.   This includes Angie, who wrote a false report on the record about an activity that I was assisting my daughter in a session with a different therapist  named Heather, claiming that I was not able to complete a nine piece puzzle, about which Heather simply wrote in her report that we worked on it together, without mentioning the results of this.  It is most unfortunate that around this time, there were donors giving big money to help enlarge this places quarters, little knowing that this facility does the opposite of their claim in their mission statement of helping children with special needs achieve their highest potential, while empowering their families to thrive, by TEARING parents away from their children via composing letters and making up lies; and as a play on words which is so true in my case - famiLIES.In the last few years, I have dealt with many therapists working with my children, but the only one whom I ever had a bad experience with was this creepy Angie lady, who can well be compared with the scary creatures of Halloween, which is in fact her favorite holiday.  Aside from this, when I complained about Angie to the CEO named Doug Carter, he had the nerve to scream at me, telling me to keep quiet and not make any more trouble than the chaos that I have already created for my children and Upward.  So folks, lets keep working on Upwards reputation becoming DOWNWARD, and do not be fooled by the otherwise five star ratings from just about all the other ones writing here, some who were probably paid by Upward, or Upward having their big donors putting pressure on Google to remove the negative reviews, as money talks.

In all our years, we have never had such a good experience with a daycare. Leah, in the baby room is outstanding. We have all the faith in the world in her and her ability to take care of our baby. My husband does the drop offs and he calls me after and raves about Leah and how happy our baby is when he sees her. He immediately waves goodbye to my husband and is happy and content. We could not be happier. This daycare is excellent and gives us the peace of mind of knowing that our baby is well cared for and loved.

If you have ever taken a tour of Upward it will change your life. The personnel who work with the children are among the most caring and patient individuals I have ever seen. The employees at my Company have participated in annual fundraisers for Upward and we encourage everyone to go visit. I am proud to be involved in helping such a valuable resource for those individuals who need special assistance to see their abilities thrive. Upward, you are amazing!I am sad to read the negative comments which seem to be related to the thrift store which contributes to Upward rather than the organization itself.

Rude young girls at the front desk. Incredibly disorganized. Very unhelpful. We were told to come register on Tuesday from Noon to 3. We arrived at 1 and the enrollment woman had already left for the day. When asked for the paper work so we may return another time, the young girls at the front desk knew nothing and were rude to me. I will not waste my money and place my child at any organization who treats people as they did.

I was in one of the classrooms for a week at this school it was absolutely horrible. The teachers are horrible and do not know how to talk to children let alone children with disabilities! Ive witnessed them neglect the children yell at them and refuse to give them more food at lunch or snack so they themselves could eat it! I would not recommend sending your child to this school or daycare!
