Stephen has done an OUTSTANDING job of providing Music Therapy to my son. The techniques are so valuable, and my son has improved verbally, and become confident and enthusiastic about his sessions with Stephen. We would highly recommend Stephen to anyone who has a special needs kiddo interested music and growth.

Through my employer, I work with Stephen to conduct a class with approximately 12 individuals every week. Stephen is one of a kind with knowing how to work with the individuals uniquely and how he can set them up for success during the class and beyond. Its a pleasure to work with Stephen and I would highly recommend him to anyone that is considering hiring him.

Stephen is an amazing instructor for my son who has Autism. He loves playing the drums with him and always has a lot of fun when it’s time for music therapy.

We Love our Drum lessons with Stephen. Our Son, who is very sound sensitive, loves to get loud and soft with Stephen. Not to mention the progress he has made on the drums. I am amazed. we can now listen to music with loud drums in it, while my son tries to pick out the beat and pattern they are playing. Its also been nice to have music during COVID. Using Skype has been really fun!!!

I’ve been taking my brother Joshua who has autism for the past 6 months and I have seen my brother improve a great deal. We love the way Stephan teaches as well as how patient he is with all of the students he works with. My son is showing an exponential increase in communication since he began his music lessons with Stephen Flinn. The tactile learning approach has made an impact on how my son with autism is able to decipher and express information and communicate. Its not your typical music therapy, its a very creative/motivational approach that works for my son who thrives when motivated!

My kiddo takes drumming lessons with Steven. Ed, who is slightly sensitive to sound, has no problem getting loud with Steven! He gets better with every lesson. Drums with Steven is the only thing that Ed likes to do thats extra-curricular. He loves going! Stevens a fun. patient teacher. Im even coming away as a better drummer just for hanging out!

My son is 7 years old and has Autism, ADHD and ODD. He has been taking lessons from Stephen for four months and we are so impressed with the whole experience. Stephen connects with Noah and is able to get him to participate better than any teacher we have seen. Noah looks forward to his lessons every week. I’m so proud of the work he has been doing with the drums. He also has been learning to be able to take direction, phonics, and so much more. We love special needs music and Stephen :)

This is the guy who turned my drumming around. I have to work at it, but Stephen always knows where I currently need to focus my work to keep moving forward. He put me on the fast track to playing with some rocking bands. He has a vast background in the area of music instruction. Your hands are in good hands with Stephen!

Ever since my 7 year old special needs daughter has started her drum and piano lessons with Mr. Flinn, both her fine and gross motor skills have improved tremendously.I highly recommend Special Needs Music for all children, especially if they face some challenges with their motor skills.

Stephen Flinn is absolutely wonderful. My son has made so much progress and his attention span has grown. His tutoring with Mr. Flinn has greatly improved his fine motor skills and this past week my son completed his first full page of music with little assistance. Stephen Flinn is an amazing drum instructor. His years of experience with kids with special needs was evident from our first lesson. He really focuses on his student and pays close attention to their comments and actions. He is patient. He knows how to work with kids with challenging behaviors, he sees the value in individuals, and he is willing to help challenging students succeed. Oh, and he’s also an international-level drummer. Im grateful hes in our community.

My son enjoys the drumming sessions and its great to see him having fun and working on some important skills at the same time. We are so glad to have Stephen in our program.
