I go to the Studio Academy of Beauty on a regular basis. Ive come to appreciate their professionalism, the quality of the work done, and the care that the instructors show for their students and clients. The other day I was in there for a hair color and cut with some highlights, and I had been feeling very poorly about my hair, so it was great to see Lisa (always so bubbly and sweet) and to meet her student, Kate. Kate was so caring and genuinely concerned that she get my hair done just the way I like it . . . she put a lot of care into it, really a precision job. I could tell as she was doing her work that she treats her career as something very important to her. Thats the way everyone from The Studio Academy of Beauty has been -- theres no one in there who doesnt treat their new career very seriously, and yet they are all having fun and as I said, under the tutelage of a great set of instructors. A big thank you to Studio Academy, to Kate, Lisa and the team!

First of all, Ms. Lisa is the reason why Im coming back. Awesome instructor. Very pleasant and energy is flowing with positive good vibes. She lights up the room. Students are excited about seeing her. Me too. If I was 20yrs younger I would definitely be here with Ms. LISA at The Studio Academy.

Nicole did my cut and color, she really has a gift for delivering exactly what you desire. Even in those moments when I was unsure what I should do she takes the time to listen and talk me through it. She gives great aftercare tips and helps you better understand how to care for you hair longer term, she has a customer for life :)

Felt really good about my new style and nice relaxing shampoo treatment. Maybe I will try a special color treatment as well. Nice job ladies professional work.

I had a scalp treatment and hair cut done by Michelle here. Overall great experience, she was very professional and friendly. She explained to me what she was going to do and she communicated with her mentor to ensure I was getting the hair cut that I wanted.

Excellent cut by Samantha! She was a great communicator and knew exactly what to do with my mop of a head. I felt comfortable and will be back to see her wherever she ends up!

Instructor jai jai and her student chelsi did an amazing flat iron on my super thick hair. They made me feel so comfortable while there, It was my first time there and I loved it. And its sooo cheap!

I discovered a treasure in this place last fall. Ive been going once a month for either a facial, microderms or hair cut. They arent fancy, but they are affordable and I have always had a great student that is attentive and does a great job. I like to be able to help them get their hours in while getting pampered. The receptionist -Eireann - is wonderful.The past couple of months however, I have been disappointed in the spa atmosphere It has not been relaxing to be there - they took away the dim lights, relaxing music and quiet voices. It has been distracting and difficult to relax. I have encountered a lack of professional behavior from one of the spa teachers. It was rude and disrespectful to the environment as well as to me, the client.I`m very sad. I hope the owners read this because this place has been such an enjoyment. I hope they will return it to the way it was. Otherwise I would give an easy 5 star rating.

The students were well supervised during the cut. Very friendly and nice to talk with. Would go back.

Although the staff are nice. This is the second time. Bringing my daughter to get her hair done. And the experience hasnt been that great. Someone keeps placing my daughter with people. That either cant braid hair at all. Or just not very good at it. This last time we went. The Braids were too thick. It had lumps in the Braids. The parts were very crooked. The hairstyle looked like something I did. Lol. Overall it looked like a total train wreck. I didnt want to complain. But in the future theyll have to. Pair my daughter with someone. Who knows what theyre doing.

I absolutely LOVE how my hair came out! Celene did such a fantastic job. I am a difficult person to please when it comes to the color and cut of my hair and so i was so amazed when Celene did her magic on my hair. When i asked for something to be adjusted she did it with no hesitation and the best positive attitude i could honestly ask for. I’m sorry for being such a pain but thank you for your time and patience. I would definitely come back here and recommend Celene to all my girlfriends ! Thank you so much !

I have had an amazing experience every time I’ve been to the academy. Julia Scott has attended me all the times I’ve been and would rate more than 5 stars if possible. She is professional, efficient, kind, and willing to do whatever it is you need done. She is amazing and cannot praise her enough.

I have a hard time finding places and people that I can trust to cut my hair, luckily Laura Torres did an amazing job cutting my hair and fading me up. Her friendly demeanor and electric personality made it for an awesome experience. 10/10 would recommend.

I have not been to the actual salon building, however, I have had my hair cut on multiple occasions by Laura Torres. She has always done an excellent job. As a black man it is difficult to find people who can actually cut my hair well but she was confident in her abilities and has proven how skilled she is.

It has been two years I graduated from this school and the only way to graduate was to write a 5 star review of my experience.My experience at this school was horrible ! I’m not exaggerating! The campus is on 19th ave and northern which is ridden with drug addicts and they would be passed out on the floor and even some would go into the school. Aside from the chic aesthetics, the inside of the school was just atrocious. I was in the esthetics program and our spa room was just a joke. We used crock pots as towel warmers, some of the steamers were broken and in order for us to “graduate” we had to do a certain amount of Quotas. 30 European facials and we had to use our own products. As far as the “theory” portion I basically taught myself and it was a brush up since I already have a background in health care.The staff was very condescending and rude some not all and there was wide array of favoritism. There was no structure or guidance so therefore the students would be disrespectful and to the point where they would want to fight admin or students.Also did I mention you had to take pictures of your hours because they would remove hours ! The owner Kathy has never worked in the industry and is super money hungry ! My tuition was about 10k and you would think that they would renew the place or try to keep up with trends.Overall avoid The Studio Academy of Beauty !

This place is definitely worth its weight in gold. Kaila cut my hair while her teacher David supervised. My hair is not the easiest to cut. It is curly, thick and many different lengths. They rocked it at the Studio! I will definitely return!

The color was exactly what I was looking for. I take certain medications which makes my hair react differently to color and she took that into consideration so my hair didnt end up brown like it usually does. 10/10 would recommend

I haven’t had time to pamper myself in awhile and I felt I was overdue for some “Me” time. I’m a very busy person working two jobs and running my own business. It can be hard to make time to take care of myself. However I told myself I need to take some time to better my health and my skin.I searched around numerous places that would perform great skin care services and I ran across The Studio Academy of Beauty. It was nearby to me and there availability was pretty reasonable. I called to make an appointment and the staff was friendly, offering many skin care services and needs.The day of my service I went in and was seen by an esthetician student; her name was Jane Le. At first I was a little worried that it was a student who would be performing my service. However I thought “Hey, we were all students at one point in time before we became who we are now.” Jane Le was very polite and professional. She walked me every step Of the way and greeted me with a warm smile. She first analyzed my skin to ensure what services would be right for my skin type. She advised that I should do a microdermabrasion which would help with my scaring, pigmentations and fine lines. I was happy to know she just wasn’t in it to give me any type of service. It made me feel at ease knowing she knew what my skin needed.The service was comfortable, relaxing and painless. Jane periodically asked if I was ok and if I felt any pain or discomfort during the service. She was gentle and knew how to balance providing quality service and making sure I was comfortable through it all.After my session, I saw immediate results. My skin looked more vibrant, smooth and soft. My skin was thanking me and I felt more confident looking at myself in the mirror each morning. I will be returning for more session in the near future. Jane definitely changed the way one can interpreted when getting service from a student.I definitely recommend The Studio Academy of Beauty and their quality and professionalism they have on their clients and their students.

Kris is absolutely amazing at what she does. She has done my eyelash extensions. They were very natural looking and lasted a long time (nearly 2 months). My natural lashes stayed intact and weren’t damaged. She also did my Brazilian was. She was very gentle and did a great job. I highly recommend her services.

I made an appointment at the school with Jennifer Johnson for a facial and a back facial. She was AMAZING! She is very professional and personable. From my arrival, she made sure I was comfortable and informed me of everything that was going on. She explained what products she was using and why, she asked questions about my skin and what my expected outcome was. The facial and back facial were very refreshing and relaxing. Jen was great about making recommendations for products that would work well with my skin and why they would be good products for me. I left the school feeling relaxed and informed. I would definitely go back to Jen again. She is awesome.

The salon was dated, dirty and played extremely loud music. My hair cut wasn’t the best experience. The cut was subpar. The salon felt unsanitary the whole time.

I had never done anything with facials and things of this sort. However, a student by the name of Rebekah Aguilar had given me a great first time experience with a back facial. She was both professional and fun and made it very comfortable. She was very nice and always asked how you felt to make sure everything was all good. I would 100% recommend a friend to go here and I would definitely do this again.

Oh boy was it an amazing experience!!! I went in to see Guadalupe Rosales. She has done a European facial, Back facial and eyebrow tint. She made me feel so comfortable from the start. She let me know every single step she was doing to make me feel even more relaxed. It was a great experience. I look forward to having more sessions with her, I will follow her where ever she goes!!

Laura is super creative and nice, I wanted to do something completely different from shoulder length hair to a Mohawk, she did a fantastic job, and paid very attention to details. I can’t wait to get color from her next time.

The young Rebekah Aguilar was very kind. Her facial made me look and feel fabulous; just in time for me to go out with by Boyfriend. Her professionalism made the whole experience very comfortable. She seemed to know the products and could explain each step so I understood what was going on. It was a relief, I dont trust myself to do my own looks. I suggest going to the school if you want to support your community and look good doing it. I would like to go back to Rebekah, but I dont know how long shes staying.

I went here to get a facial and I enjoyed my experience. The lady Tatiana Clay who gave me a facial were very neat and personable. She assured me all the way through and explained to me the different products she was using. She was respectful at all times and very confident in her work. Overall Id come back for another facial and recommend this place to anyone who wants good service.

Roshayna Colley was awesome very adroit in her Facial performed on me. My skin was very relaxed rejuvenated and felt energized I wasn’t over drowned with the steam machine and she was very friendly to communicate with awesome job skills were beyond.

At first I was wary about getting a facial at a school, however Alicia Meyer put me at ease right away. She was very pleasant and professional. I expressed my concerns about my skin and Alicia told me she would able to create a custom facial for me, which was fabulous! She explained everything she was doing, and I could tell she was taught well. Now I know why this school is considered the best of the best.

I was little nervous allowing a learning student to cut my hair. Shanaya did a great job on my hair. This is absolutely a better deal than other salons who charge you way more and probably less perfect results than this place. I am so happy with my hair. I am going to be their long time customer :)

I have had a few European facials in the past, none compare to the one I received from Kris, she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She walked me through the benefits of regularly getting facials and different products that I should use. I left with my skin glowing and feeling amazing! Ive been here several times for a Euro facial, back facial, eyebrow tint, and eyelash tint and I schedule with Alicia Meyer every time. She is so sweet and very professional. You can tell she is very passionate about her work and wants to treat you with the best care. I plan to follow her wherever she goes when she graduates because I dont think I could trust anyone else with my skin at this school.

I went to get my first facial with Genesis and I loved it! Right after I scheduled another appointment with her and loved my second facial as well! She is very sweet and makes you feel comfortable. She is also very knowledgeable. Every product she uses she lets you know what she is doing through our the process and the purposes of using the products. 10/10!

Briana Bobo has done excellent work with my facial as well as my back massage. she has spent time to work on me even had me sleep enjoying the music and when she was done I felt refreshed all over. Just got a facial by Celina Herrera. It was such amazing and relaxing experience. I showed her a couple of problems area i had on my skin and how my skin is just not cooperating with me. She’s was very informative and knew exactly what she was doing. My skin just feels so much better after the facial. She was so gentle on my skin. Would definitely recommend going to her. I surely will go again soon!

I was very impressed with January! She did a great job explaining the process and what would be best for my skin. She also offered a very easy to understand recommendation of what products and procedures are most beneficial for me to use at home.
