Excellent school with a great group of instructors. Whenever I was struggling to grasp some of the material, I was allowed to come in early prior to class starting and on Saturdays. If you complain about falling behind or you are struggling, you need to speak up and inform one of the instructors. I would like to thank Troy, Yves, Lorenzo and Leon for their top-notch instruction. Troy stayed hours after class to help struggling students or people testing soon on several occasions and he was more than happy to do so. Excellent school overall!

AAA School of Trucking is top notch when it comes to training to obtain your CDL. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like family. (Troy) is one of the best to ever handle a truck and a top tier instructor inside the classroom and out. He walked me through every step from how to maneuver the truck to the mechanics of a truck. Very funny and relatable guy. I appreciate the rest of the instructors that assisted me in passing my final exam (Yves) (Leon) (Lorenzo) (Kat) very helpful and knowledgeable staff. If you’re looking for a great CDL program pick up the phone and call AAA you won’t be disappointed. Thank you guys for everything !!! On the road to success 🚚🚚 ⭐️

I’d like to express my appreciation to the instructors of AAA. Troy, Sam, Abel and Yves these men all taught and instructed with patience and such enthusiasm that learning to operate the trucks was made easy, molding my flaws to becoming a safe and efficient driver.. In addition they have all made it comfortable to communicate without hesitating to answer any questions even being asked for the hundredth time. I strongly recommend anyone eager to attending a trucking school do so through these men that give their commitment to teaching their students how to drive effortlessly and with confidence.

I decided to go to this school based on the positive reviews on google and I must say that Im so glad I did. First couple of weeks in the classroom I learned a lot from Troy. As an experienced truck driver, Troy shared his stories, experiences and gave examples for each chapter. Most days we would finish early but Troy had no problem staying and answering our questions. Class was never boring either. In the yard, I must thank Leon, Lorenzo, Yves, Abel and Troy for having the patience to teach and explain everything there is to know about the truck. I always had questions and they always had an answer for me. Overall, this was a great school to learn and get your CDL from. All the instructors as well as the fellow students learning with me were all enjoyable to be around with and learn with. As a female student who knew nothing but was serious about getting my CDL, I’d recommend this school to everyone who is serious about getting their CDL.

Great school overall. I not only enjoyed the school but I learned enough to operate a class a cdl vehicle safely and confidently. Instructors are very knowledgeable and have a great deal of experience. I started on Monday April 5th 2021 and completed their program Friday April 23rd 2021. For those who think it cant be done it can and it should. The Instructors are all very much aware of each students progress and will advance the student depending on how they are learning. This isnt a school for those who expect to be hand fed the information. This is not to say that the Instructors wont go out of their way to help you, because they absolutely will and I witnessed it. But if you plan on standing around socializing and not showing up on time or leaving early then dont expect to do well. Go in with a purpose stay motivated and achieve what your goal is. This is why this school was excellent they gave me the tools to reach my goal. And that was a class a cdl. I want to say thank you to Troy, Yves, Lorenzo,Abel,Gino, and Leon. Yall were great and I appreciate the information and skills you taught me. So to sum it up if youre looking for a no B/S school this place is it.

AAA Trucking school is a very successful institution to obtain your CDL Class A license. Let me start off with the preface addressing issued I had with the school and then follow up with the strengths of the school.Cons:- Few Instructors: Upon arrival of the school there was only one instructor teaching the pre-trip training, maneuvers, and no one was authorized to take students out on the road. This slowed down the capability of teaching each student what skills they lack as well as allowing students that have moved past the basics to practice their road tests. So the problem primarily was lack of instructors.- Trucks: The trucks were pretty beaten up and it was really difficult to learn properly of the shifting of gears. Due to the age of the truck and constant beating of prior students grinding gears it made it difficult to know how a properly maintained and well taken care of truck was like to operate. Also the trailers that the trucks were being pulled were built in the early 90s. So when it comes to pre-trip inspection you have to address components that werent visible for the test.- Opportunities: Due to the school taking in a lot of students and having few instructors, it made it difficult for students to get ample time to have hands on practice for the vehicles. When it came to performing maneuvers you were lucky to get in the truck 2 times a day. This was because of the high volume of students and low number of trucks. Also when it came to getting on the road practice you hoped you were in the truck at least once a day. This is an issue for practice and application.- Communication: During my time at the school I had problems with communication from the school to students. Didnt know the time I was going to take the test until the day of. Also there was a cancellation of the class due to health concerns and didnt find out when we would be able to attend the school unless you checked your email. Also, it would have been nice to be informed of the conditions at the Truck Yard. Then I would have known to bring a chair to sit while training.- Location: The training yard is conducted outside rain or shine youre in the elements. Be prepared to sweat a lot of get cold a lot.Pros:- Instructors! : When AAA managed to hire new instructors for the school they were extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to ensure each student that was trying to learn the material. They made being at the yard enjoyable with not only explaining how to correct errors but also to share real life experiences they had on the road. (Troy, Sean, Tim, and Abel). Each instructor has their own way of teaching and none take it personally when you move another instructor to see a different way to learn.- Hours: The hours from 8:30am - 5:00pm allowed for a full day of training and information training. So you are around trucks all day allowing students to watch others and see how to do things right and wrong.- Training: The training that is conducted has a safe, controlled and puts the complete control of the student to move on if they have learned the skills needed to proceed forward. This allowed the student to have the motivation to learn what is necessary to move on.- Road Course: The training on the road allowed drivers to learn how to shift not only on the highway but handle high traffic areas in the city. This allowed drivers to gain skills to handle difficult turns and high movement of other cars. The instructors ensure the driver is driving safe and compliant with the traffic laws.Overall, the school was a success and can always be improved. Troy, Abel, Sean and Tim were fantastic instructors and made my time with the school a memorable one. Highly recommend for others in the future.

I enrolled in trucking school not knowing anything about trucks but the great teachers walked me through it. They went through everyhing throughly with patience. Mr. Troy Mr. Able, and Mr. EZ went above and beyond to help me learn. Each and everyone of them skipped their lunch time to help my classmates and I to learn maneuvers. If we needed additional help they would ask us to come at 7 am, so they could help us one on one. Mr. Troy has a big heart he is tough on the outside, but on the inside hes the most caring person I have ever met. If it wasnt for his help I would have quit. The atmosphere for the school and class is fun. The teachers and the students are like family. Hurmatullah (7-11)

The instructors on the course are fair, respectful, and very concerned as to what we do and how we pick up the necessary knowledge and skills needed to drive safely and properly on the road.I would like to sincerely thank Troy Jones, Abel Ocasio, Brian Goldsmith for your patience and safe driving techniques taught to me. I was a tough on myself at first, but each of you in your own style, made sure I or we, didnt and dont, confuse ourselves and keep paying attention to details on this course. Ernest Anderson, I know he is new and I only worked with him for a week and a half, he was an awesome instructor and will make a very good person teaching (instructor) for AAA School Of Trucking. The trainers and examiners at the school are amazing. They take their own time to help you if your struggling. They really help prepare you for the trucking industry. My only complaint is they do not have enough trainers for the work load. I was given a time frame from the company and that time frame was doubled due to shortage of staff. They were finally catching up when I was testing out. That being said it really helped me prepare for the difficulties of being a truck driver. Learning patience, networking, and dealing with less than stellar conditions that are out on the road. While all the staff is great. A special shout out to Troy and Brian who spent their free time to keep the school running in that tough time. Making sure those that were testing got some extra time in the trucks because to be honest 1 time in an 8 hour period just isnt enough to be ready for your exam.Edit Over a year later putting my time in working hard I now make on average double my salary of when I was a branch manager at a retail bank with almost three times the take home salary. I never thought trucking would be so rewarding and help me cover all of my familys expenses while my wife is going threw her PHD. Put in the time, work hard and get paid. I am looking forward for when my wife is done with school So I can make even more being an owner operator. Its a great investment in your future listen to these guys and if you are failing its because you dont want to put forth the effort. These guys will make you successful if you just listen to them! Being a graduate from this school as of 12/28/2018, Im going to write up this review from deep inside. The instructors are great. Brian, Troy and Abe. If you are looking to get the knowledge you need to obtain a CDL, this is the place! They give you paperwork with everything you need to know from inspections to manuevers. But you MUST be willing to learn and study! They will work hard to make sure you succeed but you must be willing to take criticism without getting mad. There are times you will mess up and they ask you to get out of the truck. You must learn to shake it off and continue to learn from your mistakes. Everyone needs to work as a team. When I first started people who been there for a bit helped us newbies out. Then we helped out the newbies after us. The instructors cant tend to everyone at once so help each other out and build each other up. Only complaint I have was Driver Solutions saying you can get a CDL in 2-3 weeks. In reality it is more like 4-6 depending on your abilities.

There really aren’t words that can explain how great these instructors are. Brian Goldsmith, Abel Ocasio, And Troy Jones: these are the men that are the backbone of of this trucking school, they teach you everything step by step and don’t give up on you, they treat you like your family and they even talk to you about their personal experiences out on the road and what you can expect out there and how to handle it, they even take time out of their personal time at home, I had a test early in the morning and Brian took the time to come in early just to go over last minute things just to make sure I was ready... The day before my test I wanted to get out to do some more driving and shifting, Abel was sick that day and you could see it in his face, instead of going home he said “come on we will go out for a drive to make sure you know it”. All I can say is if that isn’t dedication to students than I don’t know what is. (Brian, Abel, Troy if you guys read this I want to thank you again for everything).

Great school. If you come every day on time, pay attention, and follow directions, you can get your CDL-A here. Make your check payable to STANFORD T. JONES. If you need help, ask for it. Often times, the instructors will work with you on their day off or early before class starts. Thank you TROY, YVES, BRIAN, ABE, GINO, AND MR. EVANS

The instructors really won me over with their personalities, its an experience I will never forget. One of the issues I notice is a shifted priority system where people who pay out of pocket will get more attention than those who are training under companies. It pushed my test date back further than expected but the results came out with a reassurance that I can get the job done safely and confidently.

All of the instructors and office staff are very helpful, the information and driving instruction provided will definitely prepare you for the CDL test. The driving range needs improvement, however if you need more seat time they will do their best to accommodate. It is also possible to schedule around a persons particular busy schedule. Definitely worth the cost.

I received more than what I needed to pass the state test for my CDL. I paid for the school myself and will be reimbursed by my current employer. My truck training was never more than 2 students to an instructor and many times it was 1 on 1. The valuable instruction I received included many things that will help me out on the road and this information did not have to be given to me to pass my state test. The classroom instruction was very valuable as well and the instructor imparted lots of information above and beyond the bare minimum the state requires. I would say that you should sign up with them Monday - Wed so that when classes start the following week, you will be put on the Truck Skills Training in the 1st week. This can shorten the length of school for you. I wouldnt hesitate in the least to recommend this school to anyone. Those giving bad reviews were sent as a group of many students by their company so maybe instruction was a little thin. This school will get you your CDL and then some.

I’m going to keep it real. If you don’t know how to pay attention to detail and take this serious then it’s not for you. Secondly be patient and remember what you’re there for. All the instructors will give you foot notes/ blueprints to success. All the instructors from Troy, Abe, and Ernie will be hard on you because they want you to succeed at this career and not fail. Plus this is not suppose to be easy anyway. If you fail you either not listening and studying or getting in your feelings.💯 #StayFocused
