We love Capitol. I come from a gymnastics family and have been in a ton of different gyms. Capitol is very clean, great equipment and set up, their office staff is super friendly, and the coaches are all kind and fun. I have had 3 kids here for almost 2 years and weve always had an amazing experience. From classes to team, all my kids are very happy at Capitol.

We love the CAPS program! We have been bringing our boys here since our oldest was 3, he is now in second grade. Our third son is in his final year of CAPS and were sad to be nearing the end of our CAPS years! The facilities are fantastic, coaches and front desk staff are all wonderful. We will likely utilize their kids night out program and summer camps or big kid classes in the future. This place is such a treasure in the community.

I have been bringing my kids to Capital Gymnastics now for years. Starting in their CAPS program (Mothers Day Out Program) to gymnastics classes, to now being on team and even their After School Program. The staff is always friendly and helpful and my kids love it there.

Your experience will depend on the coach. We have had our 6 year old son going here for over a year. He used to LOVE going. He recently got a new coach, and looks beaten down after each class. Today was his last day. His coach is full of negativity and never has 1 good thing to say about him. After every class, she makes sure to call him “weak”. Today he started to get frustrated and she started taunting him saying, “What!? You’re getting frustrated?! Don’t you start that!” My son turned his back because he was about to cry and was trying to compose himself before she saw. She said, “Oh! Now you are going to turn your back. Fine! If you don’t want to learn, that’s just fine. I guess you know more than I do. Go ahead. Do it your way. I won’t teach you then.” My son took a deep breath, turned to face her, and told her he did want to learn and he was really trying. She went on to belittle him and complain about turning his back for the next minute or more while my son fought back tears and told her he wanted to learn. It was awful!!! Then, when class ended, she came out to say that he was “weak”. The whole time she was talking to my husband and I (listing all the things he did wrong today) my son buried his head in my husband’s stomach and cried. Never again!!!!

Honestly the gym is very decent and the staff are super friendly. Unfortunately most coaches are very disengaged. They just stand there and tell kids what to do. And whether they do it right or not no one cares. They dont want to get their hands dirty and get on the floor to show how its supposed to look, just standing there with their arms folded or talking to each other. Parents seating area used to be very uncomfortable and now its just gone. If my daughter cant do what is asked of her they will just ignore her and work with those that can complete moves. They dont really do any stretching which is so weird considering that its gymnastics class and flexibility is a must. My daughter is never excited to come here. I make her because she needs it.

Been bringing my kids here for several years. Love the after school program and lessons for my little one. Would prefer more comfortable parent seating and better snack options at vending machines.

We have had our daughter enrolled for 3 years now and every year the staff and gym continues to grow. Wonderful place great Coach to athlete ratio. Easy to get to location. Just love it here.

My kids job their program and they love it. The coach is nice and willing to work with you for the benefit of the kids.

U used to go here it was nice but i was more advanced on floor so i did just tumbling for like 2 years and only had a round of back Han spring now i go to atx cheer and i have roundof Backtuck a round of back Han spring backtuck and a round of 3 i have only ben to atx foe like 1 month and when i was in level 2 for capital thay aaid they would meve me up but it took like 2 monthd

They have a adult tumbling classes on Tuesday nights which Ive gone to. Theyre not really classes, though, so much as a chance for you to have free range of their equipment.You can use the pummel horse, rings, parallel bars, etc. There are instructors there thatll help you out if you ask too. Youre not gonna get the same level of attention from them as you would a personal trainer but then if you want a personal trainer you should pay for a personal trainer (and some of them do personal training on the side).Overall, Ive quite enjoyed it! And its quite humbling and awe inspiring to see the people there do the cool stuff that they do! Personally, I think seeing someone do a handstand to a V-sit or some routine on the rings is a ton more impressive than seeing some guy bench 315lbs or whatever. But thats just gymnastics for you lol.

Coaches here are very rude and would make my child cry.The coaching is very bad also my child was in a class for 2 years and she had no improvement.She was scared to go to classes because the coaches were rude.If you are trying to find classes for your child please don’t consider here.
