This is the most fun Ive ever had playing music. Mike Lockwood is the best music teacher Ive had the pleasure of working with. He makes learning to play fun. I look forward to picking up my guitar everyday and challenging myself. Mikes has the ability to convey music theory and practical techniques in an enjoyable way. Taking guitar lessons with Mike Lockwood was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I felt that my creativity, proficiency, and overall love of music skyrocketed in the year I was able to study with him. Mike went above and beyond by providing the opportunity to perform live and record original music - all great ways of applying everything that he taught in the classroom each week. He is a great teacher and mentor. I would recommend him to anybody that is thinking of taking guitar lessons.

Ive tried my hand at guitar a couple of times but it wasnt until I sat down with Mike yesterday for my first free lesson that I really felt like I had a shot at learning how to play. Mike is personable and outgoing and builds the lesson around your skills and goals even in the first free lesson. The lessons include practical music teaching as well as small amounts of basic music theory so you walk out actually feeling like a musician. John and Michael have always been super friendly. The lessons are tailored to what ever interests you. I took guitar lessons at PMC for about a year while I lived in Pensacola. These guys are awesome. I had John as an instructor. He is extremely patient and knowledgeable. What I loved was that everyone is so helpful and they just love sharing their knowledge with you. I had a lot of fun taking lessons here and ended up purchasing two new guitars from them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

My daughter has been taking both saxophone and guitar lessons at Pensacola Music Company. As a former music major myself, Ive been absolutely impressed with the instruction shes received from Michael (guitar and mandolin) and Rodney (saxophone). She has showed great improvement on each instrument; and more importantly, shes enjoyed the lessons because they are fun. Pensacola Music Company rocks! Literally :)

I have been taking mandolin lessons at PMC for about four months now! These guys are awesome. Michael is my instructor. He is very patient and knowledgeable. Coming from zero experience with playing an instrument, to where I am already after four months, I am very pleased and having a blast. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Impressive! My seventeen year old was preparing for college to major in Music Education and needed to learn to read music; he already played by ear. In just a few weeks, he was able to identify notes and read music. The Pensacola Music Company took time to help my son set realistic goals and set a plan of action to assist him with his future college plans. I am thankful and my son continues to improve!

Having watched Michael interact with young kids over the years I am really surprised he does not have any. He really knows how to treat people and motivate them.

The instructors keep it fun and get the job done! Both of my children look forward to their instrument lessons, one piano, the other alto sax.
