We have been an Open Minds family for 3+ years and have been so happy with our experience. The teachers truly care about the kids, and we are lucky to be able to now call many of them friends. Our daughter gets excited about going to school every day. As parents, it’s extremely gratifying to watch her make strides in academic learning and social/emotional development weekly. We wouldn’t trade our Open Minds experience for the world and would strongly recommend the school to any parents seeking a positive, encouraging environment that is truly more than “daycare.”

Our kids love Open Minds. We love Open Minds, especially because I have peace of mind knowing my kids are in capable and loving hands every day. The curriculum is top notch, the updates (multiple times a day) are so appreciated, and there is no drama. So glad we found Open Minds.

Truly phenomenal environment for my son. Every member of the staff does an excellent job and he has blossomed with his friends there. Being a baby born post-COVID, the other daycare children and staff have been some of the closest people in his life, and we are incredibly grateful for the genuine bonds developed. I cant recommend this development center enough, they have nurtured his physical, intellectual, and emotional growth tremendously. It takes a village to raise children and Im blessed to have them as part of my village.

We LOVE Open Minds and are continually amazed at how much our daughter learns there! At the end of the day what is most important to us is how much they care as we never doubt the integrity or sincerity of this organization! Open Minds has been a wonderful place for our family. We have put one child through and have another currently enrolled. We are very thankful for Open Minds, not just because they are close to our home, but because they care so much about our children. They are a great asset to the Olathe community and will no doubt be around for years to come because they provide outstanding care for the thing we as parents care about the most: our children.

Choosing Open Minds to care for and educate our son has been the best decision! The teachers and staff are amazing and professional and truly care about the kids. Especially through Covid the extra steps taken to ensure safety is comforting while also finding ways to keep parent involvement and ‘normalcy’. I’d recommend to any friend or family member - finding Open Minds was a gem!

We absolutely love this daycare!! We started sending our daughter when she was 12 weeks old, and I was so nervous/anxious to take her for the first time, but Open Minds made it very easy for me. Now she is all smiles when we pull up and runs through the doors to get inside. They are truly focused on helping your child meet their milestones. My daughter has learned and developed so much there that I feel bad keeping her home some days because I know she’s missing out on great things! The entire staff is very friendly, the facility is clean, and the whole program is just remarkable! It’s definitely worth every penny!

We have been lucky enough to have both of our kids go to Open Minds and they have both had amazing experiences there. They have always treated us like family. While both learned so much while there, the best part is that I see clearly how much they love the kids. I recommend Open Minds for sure!

We have been very happy with Open Minds. We have been impressed with their quick, organized, effective response during the pandemic especially. I feel like the staff really know my kids and my kids have grown and learned so much here. They love going to Open Minds.

Both my kids go to this location. They love it. My daughter gets upset when it’s the weekend and she can’t go see her friends and teachers . I love how friendly the staff is. My daughter went to a daycare on base wasn’t learning anything. We switched to OpenMinds and My daughter has learned so much. The way my family sees this place is that it is not a daycare but as a school! They go above and beyond! Couldn’t ask for a better place for my kiddos to go! I love the fact that they treat your kids as their own!

We are so happy with our decision to send our daughter to Open Minds. She has so much fun, is so well taken care of, and learns so much! ❤

Open Minds Olathe South is amazing! Sad we found out about this place 3 kids later, but we are very pleased and thankful for all that they have done for us and our little guy. ❤️

My daughter started going to Open Minds at 3 months old - shes 17 months now. We immediately loved the owners, they are very invested in each childs learning and development. The teachers are really top notch! When we learned about how they write the curriculum for each class/age group, I was shocked! So a 3 month old has a development plan? Yes, the plan and goals are sent throughout the week (this is what were doing, heres the goal of this activity.). When I tell people about the parent/teacher conferences and development screenings, they always ask so this is a daycare?, I reply, its not a daycare, its a development center (I helped out at a daycare in middle school and high school; it was nothing like Open Minds). And as the weeks & months went on we (and others) could really tell that she was actually learning; she was signing words, becoming a little social butterfly and started walking early. The center provides a real family feel; we interact with the teachers regularly. Pre-Covid, parents were able to stop by throughout the day, talk and laugh with the staff and play with their kiddo and friends. During Covid, they have taken every precaution to keep the children and staff safe. No visitors, staff meets parents outside during pickup/drop off, kiddos are temped at the door before entering, extra cleaning throughout the day, etc. They host weekly Zoom calls to allow parents an opportunity to join the class.I could go on and on (the owners do great work in the community. A food pantry was implemented for families during Covid) but the facts are 1. My daughter is safe and happy, 2. I can trust the stsff with her 3. She is in an amazing learning environment 4. I wouldnt take her anywhere else.

My child has been with Open Minds for 2 years and he has evolved and has learned so much. We love Open Minds and being apart of the family.

A one of a kind childcare center. Very spacious and up to date facility. Caring and motivated staff that is genuinely interested in your childs development and happiness. They have lots of beneficial programs such as a lifetime fitness coach that will assess each child and give recommendations for the teachers and parents to follow and they actually do their best to implement these throughout the day. My baby is super happy here, progressing well, and I wouldnt dream of taking him anywhere else. The director is very involved and easy to talk to. Love it here, so happy we found this center just in time for when we started care.

We first sent our daughter to a chain daycare. We were constantly getting calls that she had a fever and had to get her and stay home the next day. She never had a fever when we got her home or after. We chose to search for a new daycare, and found Open Minds (main location - Olathe). This place has been a blessing. Not only are they cheaper than the chain daycare was, but they actually treat my child as if she were their own. From the owners to the folks that clean at the end of the day, they all know my daughters name and always greet us with a smile and give a have a good night at the end of the day.They follow a set curriculum that give the children a good routine while also allowing them to be creative, and just be kids. The teachers and co-teachers are great, as well as all of the support staff. My daughter is excited to go to school every morning because she gets to see her teachers and friends.My family is actually moving next month, and when my husband toured daycares to select one, he knew the standard was that they need to be like Open Minds. If you are looking for a daycare that you can be comfortable dropping your kiddo off at while you are at work, look no further, Open Minds is the place to go.

This company treats their employees horrible, they make that work off the clock, they schedule training days so they call it and make the employees come in and clean. They make the teachers pay for their own supplies. They dont allow them to take breaks on regular schedules. If they treat employees this way how are they treating your Kids.. Think twice before sending your kids here people!!!

Open minds is an awful place to work. Management team plays complete favoritism and doesn’t treat all employees the same. They run with what they hear from other people and don’t let you explain anything at all. If you make one small mistake you get completely attacked emotionally. Would not recommend anyone to work here!

They need to make sure the information they give out is up to date with what they say. We decided not to send our child there and in the handbook it states the registration fee is refundable. When I went to pick up my paper work they did not refund it. The owner even refused to speak with me. Lets just say they will be hearing from our lawyer!

Great new child education center. Very spacious with great teachers. The teachers have been fantastic keeping us informed of our childs progress.

The teachers are very caring and loving, work heard each day to see that your children learn and have fun. The owner and her family are very friendly and a wounderful place to work as well as have my child in Pre School.
