My daughter (2 years old) has been home with me since she was born. I was very nervous about going back to work and enrolling her into childcare. The staff at Canterbury made the enrollment process and transition extremely easy for our family. They provided us with great support as we helped to ease our daughter into a new environment. We love the daily communication, which helps us to see how her day is going. The staff is incredibly welcoming and quick to accommodate the needs of the children in the building. We are very grateful for the loving community Canterbury has created for these young children. We would highly recommend Canterbury to our friends and neighbors!

I was so nervous about moving my preschool twins to a new daycare at the last minute, but Canterbury has been absolutely amazing. My boys adjusted so well thanks to how receptive and welcoming the staff and teachers are. They have so much fun everyday and are learning valuable skills. I am so glad I was able to get my children into this center.

My 2 year old was having issues at his last daycare and hated leaving the house everyday, I switch him to this school and he now constantly asks to go play with friend and looks forward to the engaging and positive interaction Canterbury preparatory academy provides. My 7 month old seems to enjoy it to but he isn’t saying much. I love how everyone knows my kids names, it’s clean and has lots of out door space.

We have been very happy at Canterbury. We switched my daughter to this facility in December and then my son started coming here in January. The transition during COVID was hard to navigate, but Ms Christie and Mr Ben we’re very accommodating and great to work with. I feel like they have taken all the necessary precautions with COVID to make sure everyone is safe, but have not closed for unnecessary reasons or extended periods of time (which my husband and I really appreciate). Both my kids teachers communicate well with us, and most importantly my kids seem to enjoy their time there!

I’ve been working at the Olathe location for awhile now. The working environment is very clean, organized and friendly. I like that the directors are involved with the kids just about as much as the teachers, they’re always ready to step in and help. The curriculum we use is great, the kids get to do so many hands on activities, it’s something new every day.

We are so pleased with Canterbury and the amazing staff there. We came to this center after a horrible experience at another well known center in Johnson County. At our previous daycare, the communication was very poor, we felt like a number and the final straw came when we received a call from child protection services that our child had been a victim of alleged physical abuse by a staff member. Needless to say, it was going to take a lot for me to feel comfortable and find trust in any daycare center moving forward.I can say without a doubt Canterbury Prairie Ridge quickly eased my fears and gave me confidence that quality daycare exists. The staff retention and consistency in caregivers has exceeded my expectations. At our previous daycare she had a new lead teacher every three months (sometimes more frequently). At Canterbury her lead teachers have been employed at the center for years. She knows all the staff and the directors are actively involved. Her teachers genuinely care about her and us as a family.The learning and fun that takes place there is more than I expected; I’m amazed as my child is learning sight words and beginning to read at the age of 4. She is excited to go each day and talks about all of the fun she had each evening.Most of all, I appreciate the communication and safety of the school. The directors are friendly and quick to respond to any issues. They have been proactive and clear about protocols related to COVID, they do an excellent job organizing special events, and most of all I feel my concerns and questions are addressed appropriately.Canterbury Prairie Ridge has been exceptional and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking quality daycare! We have been at this center almost two years so I feel confident giving this review. I only wish that we had started with them from the very beginning!

I’m a newer teacher at this location but instantly felt welcomed like I have been here for years. At other jobs I’ve had I would be scared to go to my boss with issues or even just asking for a day off, but I’ve never felt that way at Canterbury. The building is clean and the curriculum is great for the children!

My daughter has loved her time at Canterbury. We couldnt be more pleased with this school over the past few years. Our daughter is leaving preschool more than prepared for Kindergarten. The staff and teachers here are top notch and caring. During our tenure at Canterbury the staff helped potty train our daughter, worked hard with her on her alphabet, she can write not only her name, but most of her classmates names, counts over 100 and has a high desire to continue learning. I cant recommend this place enough. If you are looking for a caring environment with great teachers and administrators this is your place. Mr. Ben and Ms. Randee care about each of the kids at the school and it shows. We will greatly miss Canterbury!

Canterbury at Prairie Ridge has been an excellent place for my children. I now have my third child going through the school, and I feel confident that he loves spending time at school. He is learning so much—his language has exploded during his time in the infant room. He also is always doing cute crafts and projects that incorporate learning elements. I enjoy the pictures and updates I receive via email too. The staff is also fantastic!

Weve had two children at Canterbury (one still and one now in Kindergarten) and cannot say enough good things about the love and care here. The people in this building truly care for kids! My favorite thing about this place, other than the love they have for my kiddos, is their responsiveness to me as a parent. They are easy to get ahold of via, phone, email or app and quick to respond - even if its just me being an overconcerned mom and checking on my kiddo too much! I appreciate that very much! It should be noted that they handled the entire COVID19 situation with grace and care and continue to do so as it evolves/drags on.

I’ve been working at this location for 3 years now. The directors here are very supportive of their staff and love hanging out with the kids. Clean school. Great curriculum for the kids that encourages creativity and hands on learning.

My daughter and I both love Canterbury. The staff is amazing and my daughter looks forward to going to school everyday. We love, love, love Canterbury Academy! All teachers and staff have a genuine interest in helping the children succeed. Our twins started preschool there last summer and over the course of the last year, their social skills have improved as well as their eagerness to learn. From counting to 100 to letter and word recognition to building up their individual confidence, they are better prepared for kindergarten this year. I can’t praise this place enough. I stayed home with my son for almost a full year, and I was worried he’d be behind when he went to kindergarten. The amount he learned in even just the first few weeks when I enrolled him at Canterbury was amazing. He loves it there, and the staff - from the director down - is phenomenal. They’re so giving and patient and kind. I’m so very, very, very grateful I started my boy here.Aside from the amazing staff, the building always looks so clean, the class size is great (I don’t have to worry about my son being lost in a sea of kids!), and they do fun activities throughout the year (in January they’re even doing a spirit week) that helps to make Canterbury feel more like a second home than a daycare/school.I’ve never once been hesitant or concerned about my son’s safety, or even if he’s having a good time or not. He always has a wonderful day, and it helps me go to work with peace of mind!

We could not ask for anything more in not only staff and facility, but in the education our son receives at Canterbury Academy at Prairie Ridge! Our son if very independent and imaginative and they are so supportive and nurturing of each childs own personality. This school is a MUST!!

My daughter has loved going to Canterbury! She started here with very few words/phrases in her vocabulary, and has grown tremendously! Her teachers have been so instrumental in getting her to where she is now, and I can’t thank them enough. My favorite thing about her amazing teachers is how real they are. Past daycare experiences were full of teachers that babied her and coddled her, but not here! She is so much more outgoing and confident, and literally won’t stop talking. She has learned so much here and we’re sad to leave.

I am a teacher at this location and I love working here! We have great support from administrators, families, and staff; which helps the teachers and the students be successful! If you are looking for a loving place to take care of your child, this is it!

Our oldest daughter has been going to Canterbury since she turned 3 and recently our 2 year old also started. She loves it there and amazes me at how much she has learned and continues to learn. The directors are easy to approach and have always helped accommodate anything we needed. Most importantly, I have always felt at ease knowing my kids were somewhere being cared for and taught all while having fun.

We’ve had an amazing experience in the four years we’ve been there! Now three kids in, we wouldn’t choose anywhere else to send our kids. The building is impeccably clean and the teachers and management staff are kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. We can’t ask for more!

Canterbury has been an excellent part our our daughters life. She has been going for 3 years now and will soon be transitioning over to Kindergarten. I believe Canterbury has played a huge part in getting her ready to start school and succeed. We like Canterbury so much that our son will soon start going there as well.

Staff is friendly, caring, and knowledgeable to all the kids they interact with. Never once have I heard or thought one thing negative about the whole staff and programs that are ran. Very happy my wife and I picked here over the rest!!

Canterbury is incredible. You have to have a great deal of trust in the teachers and staff at a daycare to entrust them with your sweet baby. They care deeply, work hard, teach thoughtfully, and go above and beyond every day to make the experience for your child exceptional.

Canterbury is a great school. The teachers really care about my childs well being and education. The directors are easy to talk to and are willing to answer all of your questions. All of the kids seem genuinely happy there and mine doesnt even want to leave in the evening when I pick him up!

We LOVE Canterbury! Our 3 children have attended since they were infants (their first year was at another Canterbury location). The education and social skills our children have received is amazing. I cant imagine taking our kids anywhere else.

We came to Canterbury in October 2017 after a horrible experience at another daycare center. Within 1 week, the teachers had my 2.5 year old almost completely potty trained, after months of trying at the other daycare. He has grown and matured so much in our 8 months there. From learning Spanish, to shapes, all his numbers and letters, we couldn’t be happier!We just moved our 4.5 month old over when they had an opening and she is all smiles when we take her in and pick her up. We get updates throughout the day of what they are learning and pictures.I don’t stress about what’s happening with my babies at school and that makes for one happy family!

My daughter has been at Canterbury for almost 2 years now and we love it. She loves her teachers and loves going to school every day.

Our family has been with this school for 4 years. My son required speech therapy for a few months and the speech therapist would visit him at Canterbury and she made the comment that Canterbury has a great program (which is a big complement to the teachers and program as she has travelled to many different schools with the work that she does) Canterbury is great!
